Best garage in town! Honest, fairly priced, and direct. Love the text they give with your repairs. This gives you the opportunity to decline certain repairs until a further date and includes a detailed list of items to be repaired. Very efficient. You won't be sorry you chose Drake Garage!

Just had some work done here (been going here for a long time). They still do great work. It definitely isn t the cheapest but the work is solid and worth it in my opinion.What I was really impressed with was the speed at which they were able to get my car back to me. I believe it was less than 48 hours. They have a cool new automated texting system that kept me up to date. I was also able to look at their diagnostic before I had to make a decision on what work I wanted done. I liked this because I felt less pressured into making a quick decision.My other positive take away was that after the work was completed they explained it to me again. I was able to ask questions and get tips on maintenance.Overall just a continued positive experience from a business that has been around a long time.

I ve taken my vehicles to Drake garage for over 10 years and every single time have felt completely taken care of. Gus, Ryan and their team are so nice, easy to work with, and tell you exactly what you need to do when you need to do it (as a non-car person, I value this). 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a service home!

Drake Garage came to our rescue when flat tires on two separate occasions hampered our mobility issues for our Honda. They expediently resolved the problems and we were on our way. We received excellent, up to date service from the staff, including managers Ryan and Gus. This is literally a local garage serving its community in a way that is uniquely uncommon. The Drake Garage is so helpful. When my car was dead in this frigid weather, they arranged for a tow truck to come that same day, and I had my car back the next. They explained everything they had done and patiently and clearly answered all of my questions. I will highly recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, helpful, friendly garage!!

Dealing with car troubles is never fun, but working with Drake Garage alleviates a lot of the pain. They've let me know when repairs were optional or can wait and the pricing has always been fair. I really appreciate that they take the time to explain the repairs to me. I had to fix my car right before Christmas, and they not only got me in but also put in extra effort to get everyone's cars done before the holiday. Bottom line: they're awesome.

Drake Garage always takes such good care of me! The pricing is always fair and they back up their work with a guarantee. On the rare occasion when something breaks again, they fix it for free. They're happy to offer advice but they never push, and when something can wait, they're upfront about that too. I would and do recommend them to anyone.

Gus and the team did a great job on my recent service. They are my go to for vehicle maintenance. They are willing to help me prioritize service when affordability is an issue. Gus even stayed late to wait for me during the last snow storm!!

Drake Garage is a rare gem in the mechanic world. Their staff is so kind from every point of interaction. They have honest conversations and give real input on doing what s best for your car and wallet. As a female, I have never felt belittled or like they were trying to pull one over me. Which sounds ridiculous but it is something that I do have to factor in at mechanic shops because I have experienced that in the past. I have been taking my car to the Drake Garage for a few years now for regular maintenance and emergency services and they are truly fantastic to work with! They do a terrific job, are honest and ethical, and the prices are very reasonable. I always know that I'm getting good advice and service, and I never feel like I'm being 'upsold' or talked into something I don't truly need for my car. Ryan and his team are fantastic to work with and I'm grateful to have experts who I can count on! I m a little late to leave a review, but Drake Garage was a great experience from top to bottom! Setting up an appointment over the phone took all of 5minutes, and drop-off and pick-up was a breeze.They identified the issue (a rattle, caused by old sway bar links), fixed it promptly, and sent me on my way as a happy customer! It s been a few weeks since then, without a rattle at all. I ll be sure to go back to Drake Garage in the future for any future needs! I highly recommend them.

For over 20 years they are the only place I take my vehicle for service. They have my loyalty because they have always been honest about work that needs completed, prioritizing repairs as to what needs done now & what can wait awhile, fair pricing. Best mechanics in Des Moines. Honest- they only repair what needs to be fixed. You pay a little more but get great results and they are very clear about what needs to be fixed and what doesn t. I wouldn t go anywhere else.

I ve always had great experiences at Drake Garage. As a young woman, I m aware that auto shops tend to take advantage of us. But I ve never experienced that here. Drake Garage has always given me fair and extremely affordable estimates, and I ve never felt pressure to authorize maintenance that I might not want.All the front staff are very welcoming and nice and are willing to explain any invoices or questions about service.In my most recent visit, I had a general maintenance check and oil change. When Drake Garage alerted me to a possible issue with my brakes (hot streaks) they included photos and their recommendations in the inspection report.While I ultimately chose not to have my brakes serviced with them, just because I am a college student headed home. You best believe I will be taking their inspection to my local dealership and asking them to check my brakes, all thanks to Drake Garage.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Wiper blade installation, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Drake garage helped me on a terribly hot day when my car had a dead battery. Gus got me in right away and within an hour I had an estimate and they had the battery I needed. I am a college student at drake university and my car started smoking about a week ago. Drake Garage was so helpful and got me my car back like new in only a few days.
