Nice staff and knowledgeable. Way better than taking your diesel truck to the dealerNot sure if it s ok to take here if you re still under the manufacturer s warranty. That s up to you.Still giving 5 stars but I did expect all my fluids that weren t fuel to be topped off during service. My DEF was not filled. But, now I know they don t do that and I m okay with it.

Highly recommend this shop for diesel repairs! Chris diagnosed and repaired an intermittent fuel issue on my 2008 F-450 6.4 when nobody else could including a Ford dealership! Very professional, honest and easy to work with!

I was traveling through West DesMoines on my way back to Colorado when I experienced issues with my Ram 2500 diesel. Seemed at first to be either fuel filter or fuel pump. Was next to impossible to make an appointment to get it looked at by most dealerships or mechanic shops in the area when I came across Central Iowa Diesel/Desoto on line. Made an appointment. Had my vehicle towed there. Turned out to be a damaged wiring harness from previous body shop work done in Colorado. While it took a little bit.......because locating bad wiring is no easy task. Chris and crew were able to pin point the the exact location of the break.... fix it and get me back on the road. Highly satisfied.......reasonable rate......no BS......honest.....great location, right off I80. Great feeling knowing you have a place to work on your vehicle you can trust. Highly recommend. My son had a break down traveling through DesMoines with a Ford 6.0 diesel pickup. Called and spoke with Chris the owner. He was great. Him and his team really know diesel pickups. Very impressed with their service and expertise. I also felt like they were extremely honest and easy to work with. I highly recommend.

I can't express enough how great this shop and the owner Chris were! I was traveling cross country to California till my turbo took a turn for the worse. I found them on google, called them up and asked if they could get me in the next day. They said they could but weren't sure what time. I took the truck there at 9am and explained the situation and that I had no where to go being it was my only vehicle. They went from not having an idea of when they could get started on it. To coming outside 15 mins later and pulling a truck out of the bay to get mine in. It took just under an hour and the price was exactly what they quoted me the day before. I highly recommend them! If I still lived in central Wisconsin I would make the drive to them just for regular maintenance, that's how much I trust them! If you're in the area don't hesitate call them up. was have some major issues with my duramax, was recommended by my mechanic who does not work on diesels so thought I would give it a shot. picked it up last tues and so far runs like a champ. head gaskets, break lines and wheel bearing pretty major work in my books. thanks Chris and team

I drive a 45 year old ex Swiss Army vehicle as my daily driver. Getting a shop to even consider looking at it isn t easy. They took it in without even a question and figured out a tricky electrical issue I d had. They are really nice guys and I know they were more than fair with me. Thanks gentlemen.

Had a DEF quality poor code thrown on a 2015 duramax, and they were able to get us right in and taken care of within a few hours at a very fair price.

Called and Chris answered the call. We were on the road and was having issues with our trucks Turbo. He got us in two hours after we called fixed the next day and back on the road. Thanks guys.
