Over all great experience. Only issue was a couple week delay as the part they ordered arrived in the right box with the wrong part inside of it. Not there fault.Michael Holder kept us up to date on an ETA and work being completed. If he didn't answer the phone when called he made sure to give me a call back. Answered emails quickly as well. Treated us very nicely.Repair work looks great and they made sure to clean the vehicle as well before we came to pick it up.Great work.

I took my car to Smart Body Shop in February 2024, a 2022 Lexus IS 300 Eminent White. My car had damage from road debris and had scratches and scrapes on the front bumper in the front lower middle, front lower right, and some of the bottom of the bumper lip. Tom Brennan was the advisor at Smart Body Shop who took care of me.The body shop did a very nice job on my car. Having been a body shop employee, a detailer, and being OCD about my car, I am a very difficult customer to please or impress. I know what to look for and how. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the work this shop did. I can t even tell that anything touched the bumper. The blending was done well, the body lines are good, and nothing additional was damaged during the work. The car was returned to me clean and complete, and it was done sooner than I expected. I was also able to pick my car up at 5:30 on a Friday, which was awesome. Tom Brennan and the staff took good care of me. Thank you to the team for treating my car as I would have treated another s, I very much appreciate it. I would recommend this shop to others.

Terrible experience. My car has been in their shop for almost 3 weeks and I have not received a single update. I have called multiple times, and they do not answer their phones and do not respond back to voice-mail. I 100% recommend going elsewhere.

Zero Stars!Horrible customer service, incomplete work (hail damage repairs)I was originally told my truck would be done in two weeks. I called after two weeks and asked when I could pick it up, I was told it ll be another 2 weeks. I asked for a loaner and was told they would call my insurance and get one set up and call me back. I never got a call back. My work was not happy I needed more time off and didn t have a ride to get to work. Again I called in two weeks and asked when I could pick up my truck. I was told it would be 1 more week. After a week I called and I was told 3 more business days. I finally got my truck back after 5 weeks!!! I inspected the vehicle and saw my tailgate door did not receive repairs, it still had dents and paint chipped off. My driver side rear panel did not as well, following the damage to the driver side back door. I had to buy touch up paint to cover up the chipped paint to prevent rust. I m not happy at all about it. While still inspecting my truck I saw the interior steering wheel and dashboard has paint residue sprayed all over. I have made no attempt to clean because I m worried I may cause further damage. The only reason I haven t returned to the shop to address these issues is because of the horrible service I received and I dont want to be without my vehicle for another month!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Zero stars would be more fitting. Our 2021 seltos was in for repairs from a theft recovery, some body damage and interior damage.Horrible communication from bill ward who conveniently isn t employed there anymore, and the work completed was done poorly. They charged the insurance company for some repairs and services that they didn t complete or even begin, charged for parts that weren t replaced, and left broken glass and trash inside it after charging the insurance company for these parts and services.Don t use them unless you re prepared to micromanage them.Insurance Fraud is bad!Bad business ethics is very indicative of the individual s working at this facility. Very helpful and quick visit AFTER we finally found the correct building/shop area we needed at Smart Auto Shop for an insurance quote. The employees' performance went above my expectations! I wish I could recall her name. She definitely made up for the Tweedles we 1st encountered on this day.*** To the Tweedles--> I'd like to mention a simple, kind gesture after someone asks if, "They're in the right place" for said appt. at your establishment would be; "Which area are you looking for exactly?"... rather than pointing at a door with no intention to help or thumbing a pointed gesture behind you while mumbling. "No, it's over there." would be much more efficient customer service for everyone.Twice there, we'd been shrugged at and shoved off at Smart Kia and onto the next...ACROSS the street (LOL).Initially, there was a service bell my husband rang while waiting for the employee with their back hard turned towards us. Would've been later otherwise. The bell was quickly removed after we walked away .

I don t know why they even have a phone number when they never answer the phone and they never call anybody to update on their vehicles my cars being done date has changed 3 times and I ve never received a phone call or email from them saying that just having to take time out of my busy schedule to stop and hopefully pick up my car and then getting told it s not done seriously how professional is that!!

They repaired my vehicle due to hail damage, VW Passat 2019, driver's door trim with dents yet, scratches in the clear coat or paint on passenger side of vehicle, upper rear side.... additionally, they said the car was detailed "cleaned" ....Note: NOT! Dirty fingerprints on upper headliner with stain from sunroof to passenger door going to the rear passenger door. The quality of work performed at this body shop was the worst I ever saw in any vehicle. Note: In April of last I purchased the vehicle new from a different dealership because of customer service at the Davenport dealership.....I will never bring a vehicle to them again or even talk to a salesman from the Davenport VW Dealership in the future. They give me no good reason to be a customer.Difficult calling, to ever talk with anyone as well....or get a call back.Service: Body & Trim

3 stars is for communication. The work there is awesome! Body shop work is awesome, but if you need an answer, you are told to email because it is quicker! 2 voicemails and 2 emails (4 days) took 3 days for an answer. I get "we are all busy and short handed", but that is not acceptable! Staff is very friendly, though

my car has been there for almost a week and many calls from me and my adjuster leaving voice-mails and no response. it doesn't take a week to look over a car and estimate damage. I will update the review once they actually give me a estimate and repair my car

I hit a deer in the fall with my F150. I was told by a previous customer that Smart does high quality work so I took my truck in to get fixed. You can t even tell the truck has been in a collision. They were nice people, but the communication there is awful! First, they said they would call me when the car parts were in and I waited three weeks until I called them. Then, when I got my car in, they told me it would take four days. Waited for days and received no kind of update that it was going yo take longer than four days. Each time I would call they would tell me they would give me a call back and then never actually call back. It took over two weeks (16 days) for my car to actually be finished. Again nice people, but wish they could ve communicated better.

We've used the body shop twice. In 2017 we had no issues and the car was returned is pristine condition. In 2020, I had a few problems. The repairs are fine, but working with the front desk was less so. Smart did not coordinate with my insurance company. On the front end, I had an appointment for repairs and they had no insurance claim number. That necessitated lots of calls and a few hours of wasted time. After the repair, I was surprised to find an extra charge for extended rental car time. I had called them about this and was assured it would be handled. It was not. Fortunately, I got an email from my credit card company or I would have been in the dark.Service: Body & Trim

Do not expect a response back from them if you manage to get in to have your car looked at. I had my car looked at for potential warranty from a fix they had done and received no feedback. I called and when I was able to talk to someone I was just told they had no timeline for getting me in, let alone getting a quote.Figured I'd update this since their manager never bothered to update me or return any calls. This has been an ongoing issue for what, 2 1/2 years now... I'd given up on ever hearing back but might as well update the review. Don't expect to ever get anything done here.

I've never left a business review but I feel obligated to let others know of this fraudulent business. Do NOT take your vehicle here for repairs. I took my brand new car in (1,700 miles) for bumper repairs due to a hit and run. They didn't even do the work that was on the estimate. There was still a gouge under the hood, the headlight wasn't buffed out and the repair to the bumper was horrible. You can CLEARLY still see damage. Not only that, there is primer under my hood since they couldn't take the time to repaint it properly, adhesive on the front emblem. When questioned about this they told me "it wipes right off" like I'M supposed to handle their clean up. They said they'd make it right, I heard nothing from them for an entire month....I took it to another shop who will be repairing my car properly, to factory condition. I couldn't believe everything Smart simply didn't do to fix my car. They actually made it worse, that primer incident they said would wipe right off needs to be complety replaced.Do. Not. Go. Here. Horrible horrible work, horrible customer service. They are running a fraudulent shop.Service: Body & Trim

I have never had the idea of killing someone in my whole life. This car dealership is a fraudulent dealership. They charge money and do not repair the car. My car is almost two years old. I have sold sports cars dozens of times. No reason to fix your car.

if you received good service from this business, you are an extremely lucky individual.I brought my car over here for a simple bumper repair. the job done very lousy. It even look more worse than before the repair. I requested for a redone. They made me come back to the shop multiple times by multiple empty promises but never get it done, wasting so much of my time.Therefore, I decided to bring car to another shop and put up a small claim to the court. No follow-up at all. Couldn't reach anyone by phone. Had to show up in person to get a response. Always an excuse or a mistake. They had my car for more than a month and did not fix everything that was discussed. I rented a car in the meantime and ended up paying twice as much for the rental than what I had originally planned. I was patient with them throughout the whole process and still got treated poorly. Poor customer service...poor communication...poor quality...poor integrity I finally got my car back and went to Wes's Body Shop to finish the work. He was able to do it within 2 weeks. Wes even called whenever he had an update on a part, etc. Just go to Wes. You have to pay with cash/check but the work gets done right and in a timely manner.

My fianc� recently had body repair done due to a hit and run to her car's front end. Since said repair she has returned twice to complain about a loose fender that continues to pop out of place. On the first visit she was told they could do nothing about it because the replaced fender was not an authentic Toyota part but it should be fine after they popped it back in place. This week she returned again and was told they did not repair that part of the front end! She would have to pay for the additional repairs. The repair was originally handled by our auto insurance and all repairs should have done at that time. Obviously they were not and now they want to charge her additional monies to repair what they failed to repair in the first place!! Poor business practices. Very unprofessional. Their failure tp fix the problem the first time now is going to cost us additional monies.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Had my car repaired from a hail storm. It was a huge hassle dealing with this place. Very unprofessional and extremely disorganized. My original appointment was listed as a quote rather than an actual repair even though I told them I was bringing in my insurance adjusters paperwork. I was very clear I wanted the repair done. The confusion didn t just extend to me as I saw very similar situations happening with every other person that was there for repairs. It s like the employees had no idea who was coming in and for what. Repair took 15 days instead of the 5-6 days that I was told. Awful communication over the phone and would never give me any information or call me back like they said. At the end, they tried charging me $500 more than the adjusters quote. I had to physically show them in the paperwork where the accurate amount was. Is this place brand new to the business? The only reason I m giving a 2 instead of a 1 is because the repair does look good. No issues. But I ll never be back....

Brought my 2014 Mercedes AMG here for an insurance claim from a deer incident and the car came back like new. I m very impressed with the quality of work done and I m very happy. Tab was a pleasure to work with and also Paul the manager who went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I highly recommend these guys. Thanks again!

I brought in my Car due to damages from the derecho storm. I pick up my car a week later with more damages all around my car. Front and rear bumper and doors had deep scratches and dents. How is it possible to pick up my car up from repairs with more damage. Doesn t make sense but these people will do that to you. They do not pick up phone calls or reply to emails. Avoid the headache and don t come here.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

The lack of communication from this place is unreal. Not only can I not get a call back, my insurance company can't either. They had my car for 52 days and I picked it up still missing a piece of trim. That piece of trim was supposed to arrive in a week; 9 days later I haven't received a phone call or a response from the voice mail I left them. It's hard to believe a company can be this complacent and not care.

Took 3 months to get my car fixed. Could never get information, when I would call they said they would check on it and never call back. After 2 months they called to say it would be finished in a couple of days, it wasn't finished until another month.Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

They were really nice guys and gave me good information. Even though they couldn't help me I was pointed n the right direction. The shop is more of a collision place and I wanted just an ordinary paint job so they suggested maaco... Thanks guys worked out 4 me!!!
