The guys there are nice, but pricing is definitely more than expected. Went in for brakes, charged about $550. $332 of that was the brake pads alone.Asked about coupons, was told I had to print it out and bring it into the store - I mentioned the fact that the coupons on their website states to "see in store for details." Which it pretty much does say that. I was then told "well I took the $40 diagnostic of inspecting the brakes off which is pretty much a coupon/discount." Btw, I was told that the charge would be taken off if I went ahead with the repair, sooo - no? Not really a discount.Not throwing shade to them; again, they're nice but it's expected with any mechanic shop that you'll be walking out with nearly $600 gone for brake pads.I recommend going on rockauto, buying the brakes for literally an eighth of the price and doing it yourself.I appreciate the time you guys took to do the work, and I'm not knocking the labor - that's understandable and expected. But maybe don't beat around the bush when it comes to someone looking to save a little more.Service: Brakes

My car would not start (possible battery issue). Kendrick arrived and quickly set up a charger. However, the issue was bigger than a dead battery. He helped me navigate the AAA IVR system to arrange for a flat bed tow truck. He stayed with me until we were certain that a tow truck would be coming. I was very grateful for his assistance. What a wonderful employee!!

First time to visit this Jack's auto shop. Much closer to my home than the one River Drive. Had my oil changed in my truck. Very friendly staff upon entering. Covered what needed to be done and they got they went right to it. Very reasonable price as well. Will go back when other repairs are needed as well.

I grew up in Davenport. Live out in Lakewood, CO. I was in town for Christmas visiting family. I knew my rotors needed to be replaced for the past couple of years. I decided to wait to get them replaced while here. I called and spoke to Matt on December 28th. He said he could get me in right away. I dropped off my jeep in the afternoon. He said he wasn't sure if they'd be able to get to it that day. I said that was okay because I wasn't in a hurry. Surprisingly about 20 minutes after I dropped it off, Matt he said, they got the wheels off and checked out the rotors. He told me the price and he'd apply a $100 coupon as well. I gave him the go ahead and also told him I'd like to have an oil change done too. The next morning, Matt called and said my jeep was done and ready to be picked up. I was surprised at how fast they did all of that! When I went to pay, I asked Matt if the price included the oil change. He said, it was on the house! Matt and his team provided great customer service!! Whenever, I need an oil change or brakes and alignment looked at and I know I'll be back in Davenport, I'm going to take my jeep to them! I highly recommend you go to Jake's for fast and reliable service!Services: Auto brake replacement, Oil change

Went to them for an alignment only. Tried to upsale me for more repairs (struts,sway bar, rear shocks,tie rods, a arms/ball joints) said I only wanted the alignment was told couldn't do it unless other stuff was done first because it would do no good. They wanted to do $2800 in repairs when I came in for a $100 job. Walked out having to pay for an alignment inspection and no alignment. Car is 21 years old winter use only not worth that much money on its own. I just got brand new tires 6 months ago and front ones worn out wrong already and all I wanted was an alignment on the new tires I just bought again so I won't have to replace them in 6 months again.Service: Wheel alignment

Do not use jacks break and alignment , I hired them in November 2022 to fix my AC, after receiving my car back from jacks my car would not start, 6 months later and 6 visits later my car still will not start, I spoke with the owner at their river drive branch and he told me to take it to another shop and to have them fix the car, after having the vehicle towed and fixed at Dales service center ( go there instead!) Terry, the person who told me to take it somewhere else , has been dodging my calls and won t answer me despite hearing from dales service center that Terry had called down there and requested information related to the repairs and diagnostics, Dales was able to fix it during the diagnostic which amazes me since jacks couldn t fix it throughout several visits lasting more than a week over the past six months, it s been such a headache and hassle dealing with Jacks that I m not even going to deal with them anymore since Terry wants to ignore me now, and I m just going to pay Dales myself. Whatever you do don t let Jacks break and alignment touch your carServices: Electrical repair, Air conditioning

After years of leasing multiple cars from the dealership, I noticed the quality of their service has changed now since I own my last lease. And since the dealership is all I've known since the 90's, I am fearful of being taken advantage of--especially now in my retirement years. But thankfully the employees at Jacks were very nice (five stars) eventhough my repair was minor--thankfully. As long as they continue, and the integrity of their work and their word is good, then they'll have a new and continuall customer in me.

Pros: friendly, professional, quick, trustworthy, comparable prices to my previous mechanic, AAA member discountsCons: none so farTook my vehicle to their River Dr. location towards the beginning of summer for a complete vehicle inspection after moving to the area in the spring. I knew there was going to be a list of repairs totaling a couple thousand dollars, but they ended up not finding anything wrong. Mid to late summer I brought it to this location (Eastern Ave) for an oil change and to have a noise checked out that the other location didn't spot when inspecting the car. Not only was this Eastern Ave location quick to get me scheduled, but they had professional customer service and the long list of repairs that this location found matched what my old mechanic found before moving and prices were very similar.Since my last visit I have purchased a used car but I will continue to use Jack's on Eastern as my mechanic

Stopped in for the first time with our 98 dodge ram. We had just bought it but had some issues and wanted them checked out. Matt at the desk was professional and friendly. Had a great attitude and was able to get us in same day. Kept us informed on what was going on with truck and his mechanic was able to solve issue. Gave us a quote on fixing second half of the issue, and over all whole shop did awesome. Definitely going back for any and all future reapirs needed. The experience was great! We came in to get our brakes fixed and when it was clear that we couldn't afford to fix both the front and back brakes we got the generous surprise of having a hundred dollars knocked off our bill for fixing up the front set of brakes. Thank you so much! It was very generous of you guys to do such a kind thing. The service was quick done around three to four hours after we first brought our vehicle in. I'll happily recommend your services to family and friends when they are need of work done.

We were travelling cross country and had a mishap on the highway that resulted in body damage. The awesome staff here did a check of the engine to make sure nothing more serious. And got our bumper all stitched back together so couldn't even tell from a distance. We were safely back on the road in an hour or two. Couldn't recommend enough. My aunt got her car fixed here. The manager was so nice that he didn't even charge her for some of the things that were done to her vehicle! He also gave her a coupon to save her money! Thats great customer service!! This place is great. We will definitely return!

Being new to the area I reached out to AAA for service and after speaking to Kevin at Jacks Brake on Eastern which is recommended by AAA I felt very comfortable that I was going to get my needs met. They did not disappoint. Kevin addressed what I needed done and explained how much and how long and did a complete inspection. I am completely satisfied with the service they performed on my vehicle and highly recommend them.

Moving to Davenport from Southern California put a lot of wear on my tires. The winter out here is no joke. My husband and I found Jacks online and decided to get new tires for my car. It was the best decision we made. Matt was very helpful in answering all our questions. Service was quick and efficient. I ll be back soon for other services in the future. I want to thank Jack s Brake & Alignment for taking care of my flat tire problem today. I was traveling from out of town and they were so good to check my tire. Unfortunately it wasn t repairable, and they didn t have my tire brand in stock & would have to order one. Since I wasn t local, they put my spare on for me. Graciously they didn t want to charge me anything. If I ever have a need for a repair or service, I would definitely recommend these guys. THANKS AGAIN, Kevin/Matt!!!!!!

I had them diagnose an ABS light on my F-150. They quoted me $575 to replace the 2 front sensors. I checked with another shop (ACE Muffler Clinic), and for the same repair they quoted $245. Less than half the price!I ended up buying the parts for $110 and installing them myself, which took about 45 minutes. Jack's Brakes was going to charge me over $450 for less than an hour of work! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

Only here in quad cities a few months...looking to get oil change. Got a flyer in the mail from Jack's. Am really happy I tried them. Kevin was very knowlegable and explained their service really well. Kim was helpful and courteous also. Kevin informed me that after doing safety check on my 2005 Honda accord that I needed a new cabin filter. He brought the old one out and showed me how dirty it was. I am sure I will be back to have any work done. For sure are 5-star in my book!!! Thank you much!!!

I made an appointment to have my brakes looked at. Once the inspection was done Kevin let me know that they found something else wrong that wasn't major and didn't need to be fixed right away. He explained to me in detail what else was wrong so that I understood it. I was very impressed and happy to get my brakes fixed right after having the inspection. Usually I have to make another appointment, but I got my brakes done in an hour and a half. Kevin was friendly. My overall experience was wonderful.

The low battery flashing indicated trouble on my trip along I-80 in Davenport. Jack's assured me they would check it out and within 2 hours had the problem diagnosed and installed a new alternator. Service was outstanding, shop is clean and well organized. Reasonable repair rates. I would highly recommend them.

Jack's Brake & Alignment on Eastern Avenue replaced all 4 of my brakes and did extensive suspension work on my 2009 Impala. The work was affordable and completed within a few days. The staff were very friendly and broke down what repairs I needed and why. They also gave me a 10% discount (up to $100) for being a college student and tons of points that I can use to redeem for future maintenance items, i.e. oil changes.

My car was making a loud noise and I was heading out of town quickly, so I stopped in to have it checked out to make sure it was fine to drive before I left town. They quoted me $1500 to fix the car. As this was about 1/2 of my cars value anyway I thought the quote was outrageous. I checked around with other shops and mechanics I know and all reassured me the price was ridiculous. Got the part I needed and replaced it myself for $25 the next day. DO YOUR RESEARCH!

This is the second time I've taken my car here for repairs. Matt helped me both times. He is friendly, helpful, courteous and caring. I trust him to ensure necessary repairs are done at a reasonable price without selling me additional repairs I don't need.

I came here to have my car done but chose to leave when I dealt with the men at the front desk. Matt was making me feel really uncomfortable. Kevin just spoke down to me as of I was an idiot. He didnt seem to care about getting my business. They were both very unprofessional so I took my business elsewhere. Do not come here because their professionalism is terrible.

Kevin diagnosed the problem quickly and honestly. Also did the repairs in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. Definitely will be returning to Jacks next time I need work done on my Chevy S10.
