My wife took her vehicle in for a loss of compression.Was charged 250$ for them to take the top of the engine apart, and completely mis-diagnose the issue. Was told the total cost of the repair would be north of 2500$ and it would be a 3 week wait to even get the car in for repairs. 3 weeks later I went with her to pick up her mis-diagnosed, still not running correctly car, and realized quickly, he was trying to take her for all the money he could. After weighing the situation and him giving us another 2 month window to fix the car.. it was time to go another route.Long story short, 3 hours labor, a 5$ part, and a 36$ tool off Amazon, her car is running perfectly again.I ll pay to have my vehicles towed to DSM before I drop one off here again. No way I would trust this establishment to do a fair assessment. And ladies.. BEWARE!Not honest!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Great knowledgeable shop with reasonable rates and good turnaround times. Dave and the mechanics do a great job and always make sure the repairs are done right the first time. Also nice that some repairs I have had done came in under the quoted price. Have been using Carlisle Auto Repair for years and will continue to do so!

I bought a traverse that hit a deer and took it to a body shop and the estimated me a $6,000 repair. I brought it here and he ordered me a whole front bumper and fender for $1,100 with installation and shipping. They were wonderful and so helpful. I highly recommend them!

originally i was told my rear end was blown & would ve costly to repair. I called back next day talked to Dave and he took another more extensive look and found it was a rear axle and would be MUCH cheaper. he even stayed late on a friday to check it out personally. i was very thankful and relieved he was willing to do that. he ordered part and although it took a few days once the part came in he had it up & running quickly. very knowledgeable. hes a busy guy so might take a bit to get work done but hes a good mechanic well worth the wait. if ever any question hes happy to listen and take a 2nd look or explain. good honest mechanics can be hard to come by.

Dave was very patient when my car kept annoying showing the check engine light & noise..he kept following up for me to see about the problem...very happy nothin was wrong but he was very genuine in helping me..thanks! Def reccommend

Wont spend a dime there again. Maybe they are busy but I gave a weeks notice of my repair needs and they wanted my car there first thing Monday morning. My car sat in the street for 3 days straight and nothing was done to it. The owner was rude when I pulled my car from them...I have spent thousands there this year.. A little courtesy wouldve been appreciated!

Took my car in for power steering problem. They charged alot and didn't even fix the problem. Do not take your vehicle here for anything! I will never go back.

Our son goes to college in Creston and had an electrical problem with his SUV, parts store down the road said bad alternator and battery.After trouble shooting and running a couple of test, it was only a bad battery. Nice to know there's an honest repair shop our son can take his vehicle to in the future if something else happens. Thanks Dave!

I shouldn t even give this place a star I brought my 02 Ford Escape in to have valve cover gaskets replaced and I guess cuz I m a women they just changed the front and not the back one and didn t think I d know. Not only that my the firing order wasn t right and my car barely made home!!! Worse ASE mechanics ever !!!
