We were in Omaha for spring break. On the way into Omaha the check engine light came on. Atherton Automotive was referred. We took our van in on Tuesday morning and discussed our situation with Matt; and that we needed to head home Wednesday. Matt and his team fit us in and determined the cause of our problem. We were able to get our van Wednesday morning. Our thanks to Matt and the people at Atherton s for their help. I would highly recommend them.

Kind people, skilled mechanics, amazing service, and great prices. This is the only place I will take my car to get worked on. They have been consistently trustworthy, understanding, and are quick to offer solutions with the customer in mind. Their estimates are reasonable, and they have the resources available to work with you regardless of your financial situation. These folks get the Chef's Kiss for the year!!I encountered a road hazard that blew a tire on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and had it towed to them.Monday morning, it didn't look too promising they'd be able to get to it before the holiday.Atherton's being Atherton's, they kicked butt, maybe took names, and got it back to me Wednesday.Creme de la creme, ya'll.

On a service date where I've requested a certain repair to be made on an older vehicle, they have checked the car over and found out there were additional repairs needed to made. They have called back and asked if I wanted to continue with the original request, when there were other issues with the car which would amount to was it worth it to fix all items.Some shops would have fixed my requested item, and after payment, I would have been back in their shop to fix something else at a later date. Both times I declined the original repair as the vehicle was not worth the money. Athertons only charged a reasonable diagnostic fee.

Needed a headlight replaced. Call Atherton's and Matt was able to get me in the same day. They have a convenience store attached where I was able to sit comfortably and wait. The work was finished quickly and everyone was so polite and professional. I highly recommend this business !

I am in town for a few weeks from Arizona. The mechanics at the shop were able to solve a problem with my air conditioning, a problem that had my expensive and highly-rated mechanic back in Scottsdale completely stumped. They were able to solve the problem quickly and at a very reasonable cost. Finding a great mechanic is very important and that s what I found at this shop. I give them my highest possible recommendation.

We've used Atherton's for many years for our car maintenance. They are reasonable and we've never had to worry about the job they've done. Matt, Jr is very good at his job and worry's about your safety. We recommend calling them for your next auto repair. Took my car in to Atherton Automotive for an oil change. Got a call 30min later that the oil sensor said I had about another 3k miles before I really needed an oil change. I bet your mechanic doesn't call to say you DON'T need your car serviced. When I chose Atherton Automotive, I had a need for a fix after going to another shop here in town that left me needing more repairs because of a botched wheel job. I had to wait to get in, but it's worth it.Atherton has fixed my car a couple times now. I leave feeling confident in the work completed and I trust the prices are fair. I am so happy to have found Atherton s. They are personable and professional. They explain my car s needs and also work with me to get the most for my money. They are great on maintenance, but I have also had some serious work done to an older vehicle. After their work, the car has never run better. I feel confident I will get more life out of my 2008 Buick to save me from an unwanted new car payment. I ve never felt compelled to write a review for an automotive shop before, but I am so happy with their work that I had to. I highly recommend them.

I think that Atherton is the best place to take your car to for any problems. They are courteous and answer any questions that you have. They always greet you with a smile. I have always been satisfied with their work and I feel confident and know they will do their best. I also like that they are honest people and that means a lot. Also after they have worked on your car they will follow up to see how the car is running and if there are any problems. I would not take my car anywhere else. I think they are exceptional.

The staff at Atherton is always very thorough and addresses the issues I'm having with my car. They are proactive in letting me know if they run into any other issues or, if something does not need fixed immediately they make me aware of things that I will need done in the future. I appreciate their service and expertise.

Atherton Automotive's staff are courteous and trustworthy. They fixed our old 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee with over 150,000 miles on it. Our jeep still runs because of their great service. When something went wrong with our car I was terrified of finding a shop. I know nothing about cars and didn t want to be fooled out of more money for work that isn t necessary . Not only did they call multiple times before proceeding with work, they gave me correct estimates and told me what needed done for the car to run properly and what could wait. They sent out an email with a a link to a very thorough list with pictures showing what s okay, what needs done eventually, and what was urgent. I was expecting my total to be twice what it was. Everyone was extremely professional and thorough, and they explained everything to me. Our car is running better than when we got it and I don t plan on taking it anywhere else in the future. I also got a text today asking how everything is running and if I m pleased with the service. This is the best shop I have ever done business with. The engine light was one and I called Athertons brought my van in. They identified the problems and completed the repairs. The customer service is great! They even gave me a ride home and picked me up when the repairs were done. Our family has been using Atherton's for vehicle service for nearly 40 years. The crew there has always been top-notch professionals. I recently took my car in for a routine oil change, and they found an issue with the timing belt assembly. That was something I would not have discovered if I had done the oil change myself. I was told ahead of repairs what the cost would be and how long my car would be tied up. The repairs were done when I was promised at a price I was promised. I was driving across the country from Connecticut to California. There had been an oversight from the people who changed my oil back in CT. I lost all my oil in Indiana and was pretty freaked out. Atherton Automotive came to the rescue. The were fast, fair and kind! I was on my way in no time. And they had a garage full of cars they were working on. They could have made me wait for hours. Great place for any vehicle service you need! They make sure your vehicle is the top priority when you make an appointment. Their service is fast and reliable. They also perform a great inspection to make sure your vehicle doesn't have issues that you aren't aware of. Matt Jr is always very friendly and helpful in answering any questions I have. I trust Atherton with all of my vehicle repair and service needs. I highly recommend them!!

Van broke down at 3am on I-80 about 30 miles outside of council bluffs. Called AAA and this was one of their recommended shops. Had the van towed to shop and dropped off. I needed to get on the road as soon as possible, so I was at their door right at open. Matt Jr worked me in that morning even though they had a full schedule and had repairs completed along with complimentary check over of vehicle done before noon. Called me to give me updates and let me know where they were at. After speaking with them, I learned that the shop has been in that same location and same family for 4 generations. The only way a business can stay open and successful for that long is through integrity. They took care of me like I'd been going there for a long time. Didn't try to sell me on anything unnecessary. Topped off my oil, rotated my tires. Good people, clean shop, certified, free coffee, great service, and definitely one of the best auto shops I've ever been to. Thanks Matt Jr and team. Made it to California without any issues after that.

Very thorough; great mechanics, and great prices. I got a 25 year old van and needed it checked over - the guys at Atherton gave me a complete list of things that were in good shape, as well as things that needed to be fixed. They were able to get my van in the day after I called them, and the dropoff, payment and pickup was super easy despite my crazy work schedule.

Being alone as hubby died several years ago it is difficult to find a place where I can find honesty & integrity in a business especially for my car. Atherton works on Toyota vehicles yay! The owner & mechanics are always pleasant, they check all the cars needs with diagnostic and proceed with actual problem. They don't do other fixing thinking I'm a woman & thinking I wouldn't know. They always call if something costly to see if I want to proceed. Their mechanics are professional & find the causes & fix the problem. They are definitely the BEST in Council Bluffs. I love working with Atherton and the service guys! This has been the only shop I use in town for the last few years. Junior always treats me fair and takes great care of my car. They always accommodate a loaner car if I need it. I would recommend them for your service needs!

Best Automotive Service Center I have ever used-no kidding! A few years ago, I was a loyal customer here at Atherton Automotive but had to move for a job change. In my 4 years living in Wisconsin, my husband and I weren't able to find a comparable place like Atherton's. Thankfully, I just recently moved back to CB-IA and I am so excited to be able to work with Matt Jr. and his crew again. They do awesome work, are very accommodating to their customers and are honest people.

I have been going to Matt for years, you can always trust him to tell you what needs to be done without adding on a bunch of unnecessary work. I've taken my car here a few times, and have always had a great experience. Matt Jr. and the rest of the team are very thorough in checking for potential problems and explaining any issues. They also provide great customer service. Matt Sr. gave me a ride to work after I dropped my car off in the morning! Great service all-around, wpuld happily recommend!
