I highly recommend Trent s Garage.A dealer gave me a listing and estimates of all the maintenance that should be done to my vehicle so I reached out to Trent s for an estimate. After comparing, I made an appointment on line with Trent s and asked them to evaluate what needed to be done on my car. Surprisingly, many of the items the dealer had recommended replacing did not need to be done! What needed to be done was completed thoroughly and timely after my approval.Amy and crew at Trent s are honest and provide pictures of their findings. They are totally transparent and friendly professionals. Amy is the best.I am so glad my daughter recommended them to me. I am a very satisfied customer and I will rely on them for all the maintenance done on my car from now on.

Trent's Garage was great to work with and did an EXCELLENT job of repairing my car, when I was having a coolant loss and temperature issue that required a gasket replacement for the intake manifold and valve covers and one other component. They were able to get to it relatively quickly on their schedule, and were very accommodating of my situation to make the repair work for me. Amy was so kind and helpful and understanding, and Moses was expert at seeing what needed to be done and was awesome to work with explaining what was needed, very knowledgeable and gave an honest assessment of the work determined with an explanation of how things functioned. Additionally, their price was the best of any and the work was better, they went above and beyond and even addressed some other minor things noticed while completing the repair. The engine is so clean and sealed up tight when I received it, and nothing leaks and runs like new!Would definitely take my car to them for any repair, Moses and Amy took good care of my vehicle and were friendly, knowledgeable and great to work with! Definitely rate Five stars :)

Trent's Garage is a top notch shop. Amy was super friendly and helpful. I also spoke with the mechanic, Moses, who was happy to answer my questions and helped me with some advice on my car project. These are clearly experienced folks with a lot of knowledge and talent. I highly recommend them for any auto repair needs.

I tried to change the cam sprocket position sensor myself, but belt got off timing when I put it back together. Wouldn't start. Trent's garage said they would fix the timing for me on wife's 13 VW Jetta, 3 other shops wouldn't touch it. I had bent and folded over some valves, so took awhile to get it back. But they had a loaner car we used. Just got word, car is ready and invoice stayed right close to estimated cost. Which I am sure comes in well below a dealer cost where they charge for everything separate, nickel and dollar you to no end. Very Professional, have all the right tools, fancy scanners, probes, scopes.I am impressed way beyond words. Amy, Moses, and Team are TOP Notch, and my anxiety can now take a rest!!

After taking my Lexus to the local dealership for years and becoming increasingly disappointed in their service and high prices, I gave Trent's Garage a try. All I can say is "WOW"....they really do things right! Excellent customer service and trustworthy. Amy and her crew actually care about their customers and do everything in their power to make sure you are well taken care of. They are also extremely knowledgable and know their business well. I highly recommend them.

By far the best place we ve taken our car to in the metro. They were able to get us in on short notice and got the job done quickly as well. I very much appreciated their transparency and the detailed info Amy provided during the process. We will definitely be returning here for any future repairs!

You really need to use Trent's Garage for your car services. They are so honest and helpful. Our son was back for Christmas with his car and needed some work done that I intended to perform myself, but I realized I did not have the needed tools. I showed up unannounced on Friday, December 22 and asked Amy if they could help me out. They not only helped me out, but took care of it right in the driveway while I waited. You just can't get service like that anywhere else.

I had a very pleasant first experience with Trent's garage. I went there for an oil change and inspection, and the price was very fair. They completed a thorough inspection, and Amy walked me through the results and sent them to me online as well. Amy answered all the questions that I had and let me know the order of importance for the repairs/services recommended after the inspection. There was no pressure to commit to any additional work on my vehicle, and she even let me know I might even be able to change a couple filters that needed to be replaced to save a little money. I will definitely be going back to Trent's garage for my next oil change.Service: Oil change

I can t say enough good things about this company! I needed to get my battery replaced and they were so kind, and were able to get me in and out right away. The prices were reasonable and the people were great. Looking forward to going back for future services.

This is the 4th mechanic I brought my jeep to regarding my front differential. Moses took me under my jeep to actually show what the damage was so I knew what needed to be done. This is the first time I feel confident that the person who repaired my jeep ACTUALLY fixed the problem. This is my new shop as they have my trust :)

They did a great job handling a repair on our company vehicle. Great communication and convenient pickup and return of the vehicle. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would be happy to have them do service for us again in the future.

Amy was very friendly, knowledgeable and got me in quick for a headlight assembly, inspection, and oil change for my Toyota Prius C. Their inspection process was awesome. They diagnosed what needs fixed in the near future and included photos of each part so I could see for myself, which was sent to my personal phone. Very honest and reasonable prices in comparison to other shops, making me a loyal customer right away. I highly recommend this shop! Thank you for going above and beyond!

When my wonderful almost-antique pickup began to idle roughly and start reluctantly I had to find a repair shop I could trust. An ad for Trent s Garage came in the mail and after checking their reviews, which are overwhelmingly positive, I took my truck in. They checked it out and gave me a printout of every item they checked and its condition, followed by a written repair estimate. I was free to accept or reject any part of the estimated job. I accepted it all and two days later, my 23-year-old pickup is a young tiger again. Even the gas gauge works now, a pleasant surprise. Amy, the owner, is knowledgeable and easy to work with. If I called with a question it was answered with expertise. They even accepted a discount coupon I had forgotten to mention. We now think of them as our go-to auto repair shop.

3 things stood out to me: 1) excellent communication from the owner and mechanic about my car's problem and solution/fix 2) clean shop--personnel and garage 3) pricing--fair and no surprises. I recommend.

Let me start off by saying I am very much a proponent of supporting small businesses, especially when it comes to car care/repair. Once I build a relationship based on trust and quality, I keep coming back.This was my first visit with Trent's. Made the appointment for a full synthetic oil change based on Valpak coupon over the phone with the owner, Amy, agreeing on a total of $65.42. Plus a free seasonal inspection based on same coupon.At arrival, I had to fill out a check in paper indicating what services I needed which I re-affirmed original appointment purpose. Went away for about an hour plus and car wasn't done yet. No problem. I waited. Inspection took a little longer.When checking out, the amount was closer to $48. When questioned, Amy shared that they did a conventional oil instead of full synthetic as I asked because my '07 Camry does not require it. I emphasized that was not what I asked for and she offered to dump the new oil and put full synthetic which I agreed to. Waited some more until that was done. I happen to have had that afternoon off.At check out, they were going to charge me about $74. I brought up our original phone agreement when Amy mentioned the amount was plus shop fees and taxes. I disagreed and reminded her of our phone agreement which she happily reduced it to the $65.42 amount. And appropriately apologized for the mishap and wait.My first visit didn't instill full confidence in the organization/logistical aspects of the shop. That doesn't mean they don't produce quality work. I just haven't built up enough experiences to judge that appropriately.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

We were traveling cross-country when our car broke down. I had no idea who could fix my car in a strange city. I was put right at ease when I called them and felt very comfortable asking the tow truck driver to deliver me and my car to the shop. Trent's Garage was able to get us in right away so we could be on our way. We don't know what we would have done if they weren't so accommodating. We were traveling on a family vacation to Yellowstone and we started hearing noise when applying the brakes. Trent s garage got us in and treated us fair. A rock apparently was the culprit and we were quickly sent on our way. A dishonest garage could have easily taken advantage and charged us for new brake pads. Thank you Ann and Moses for being so kind and honest. I would recommend Trent s for all your automotive needs in the Des Moines area.

Wow! I can't say enough about Amy and her crew at Trent's Garage. In the midst of a family crisis, our car died. Amy got it up and running and went the extra mile to get me going and help my family. First time customer. Made my appointment online Friday afternoon for Monday morning for brakes and rotors. Received a text right away confirming my appointment. Dropped my car off Sunday evening and it was ready Monday afternoon. Was able to pay online and pick my car up after hours. Will definitely use Trent s for my next car repair!

Working with Trent's Garage was such a good experience! I called on a Friday because I had warning lights on after a roadtrip, and even though they didn't have time for a full inspection that day, they offered to have me come in and check the codes. She diagnosed it that day, and got me set up with an appointment on Monday, and threw in a quick fix to get me through the weekend.They really went above and beyond to help me, and I appreciate it is more than I can say. After I traded my Camry for a Prius, my usual mechanic seemed more hesitant to do some fixes, but Trent's Garage was more than happy to take it on. And, unfortunately, my Prius isn't getting any younger, so I'll definitely be calling Trent's Garage again.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

We visited Trent s garage from out of town. We originally were bringing in a car for them to inspect but we re pleasantly surprised by their service and care for us. They were very knowledgeable and were so eager to tech us what to be looking for. They had an answer for every question we had. We later brought our own personal car for a quick inspection and we re given so much helpful advice. We left that day feeling so encouraged and thankful to Trent s garage and their staff. Amy is doing a wonderful job training and keeping a good atmosphere and customer experience. 10/10 would recommend and tell all our Des Moines friends to go to them.

I've been going to Trent's for years, and have kept going back because of the friendliness, value & integrity I find there. They are very easy to work with and super accommodating. As a family we have been going to Trent's Garage for many years. Amy and the Team have been so helpful! I have a teenage driver and they have explained how he's hard driving inpacts the service needed to the car. They also have talked with him about his oil and how to check it in between changes.
