Just because a company is created around Christian values does not mean local locations with random citizens will be operating with that same integrity. They don t take advantage of everyone but if they can create business for themselves they definitely will. Watch out and be weary of this place. I wouldn t even get fluid flushes with them, their prices are marked up to pay their technicians and I am not even sure they did my services completely right and to the best of their ability. I got a rear differential replacement with them and the technician installed an axle seal piece wrong (had a metal noise while driving) and they wouldn t take ownership for the installation error. Purchased a warranty initially as well and was well within range of the warranty and they said it couldn t be fixed and quoted me for a whole new rear differential for 4k. Felt it in my spirit that I was being taken advantage of, and sure enough I was. Took it to Beckley Automotive a week later and they got functioning and fixed the piece installed wrong and now it s working great, no noise.DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.Better of going to Heartland Tire & Auto (Waukee) or Beckley Automotive (Des Moines), or just a local certified dealer.Also, notice how defensive they are on their google reviews and how they respond to customers that obviously had a bad experience. Quite weird to me, never seen that before.GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THE LOCAL GUYS THAT WILL DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME

Incredibly impressed with this shop. Everyone I interacted with was happy to help and kept me in the know every step without trying to sell me on anything I didn't ask for or need for the specific repair. Good people, fair price, and convenient location-- I've already shared my experience with anyone who will listen to me. Thank you guys for the quickest repair I could've expected while we were recovering from the worst storms of the winter!

Great experience (except that it was for repairs lol).Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. I loved that I had video and pictures to accompany all the work that needed done. They walked me through the process with compassion and detail.Their shuttle service was great, timely and effective.The loaner vehicle while I waited on the repairs was greatly appreciated.I would definitely recommend.

I've had several repairs done with Christian Brothers. There is no one in the automotive repair business with service like this, they are above and beyond amazing. They provide detailed and reliable assessment and information with top notch repairs. The cost is high but your problems are always resolved. You can trust Christian Brothers Automotive. Enjoy!

I had a bad experience. I called to make an appointment to get my car parking sensor checked and informed the worker that I knew that it didn't work but I needed to know why it didn't work. I went in and dropped off the car. Later someone calls me informing me that to get a closer look at the issue they would have to remove the bumper which would cost up to $500, I declined and told them it was fine. I then show up to pick up my car to which they charge me $200 for a simple check up that takes minutes but they decided to check other parts of the car as well which i didnt ask for so they can charge me for an hour. They then informed me that the main problem with my car was that the parking sensor didn't work as if I didnt know and it wasnt the whole reason I was going. The only reason I put 1 star and not less is because the guy I booked an appointment with and talked to first was very nice. This was a waste of time and money. Will not be visiting again.

They are amazing, kind, caring, compassionate. We had them do a lot of money worth of work and they took my two sons and I home and picked us back up when the car was done. I will recommend the Clive location and the Grimes location a million times over.

I can t begin to say enough good things about Christian Brothers Automotive in both Grimes and Clive. I was driving from Colorado Springs to Cleveland and stayed overnight in the Des Moines area. As we were driving, we heard noises from the underbody of the car, and we were concerned about continuing on to Cleveland for another 11 hours. It was a Saturday and most auto repair locations were closed. I first stopped at the Hyundai to see if they could help but they didn t have mechanics on staff on a Saturday, so they recommended Christian Brothers. Despite me being certain they were closed, I went to the location in Clive and found it packed with people. It turns out that they offer free oil changes and repairs for low-income community members ONE Saturday per year and I somehow picked that exact day to come in. I was welcomed by the owners (Bill and Haley) and their teams from both Grimes and Clive. I have never felt so welcome at any auto repair shop in my life. Everyone introduced themselves, listened to my situation, and offered me food and coffee. They assured me that they would examine my car that morning to see what was going on. After the investigation, they brought me out and showed me exactly what was happening and what needed to be fixed. They provided me with an estimate for the repair and then drove me back to my hotel while I waited. The car was fixed within a few hours, and we were back on the road.First, ALL the employees here are incredibly kind, caring, and honest. The fact that they dedicate one day per year to help the less fortunate with auto maintenance and repairs is truly amazing and a demonstration of how much they care about the community. My repair was made quickly, and the price was right in the range I was expecting.If you live in the Des Moines area (or are traveling through) and need auto repairs, don t look any further than Christian Brothers in Grimes and Clive. They will give you fair and friendly service and make you feel like you are part of the family. Thank you, Bill and Haley. I have been here multiple times for service on my mazda sedan and my gf s Subaru. I have had a wonderful experience and the crew at Christian brothers Clive are wonderful to work with. They are always hospitable and they even offer a loaner vehicle and a ride into work or home if your car is going to take a while or if you need to be somewhere. They have fair prices (which include an 3YR/36K warranty) and they are VERY transparent with everything they do. I will keep coming here for as long as I live in the Des Moines area for car services. Keep it up guys!!

Very thorough, courteous, respectful. Had vehicle towed there. Explained each part of the process with detail and photos.When car broke down Irvin took time with me on the phone even tho I had called on a Friday night one minute before closing. Very patient knowledgeable and helpful.I will recommend Christian Auto Brothers over any other auto service we ve been to. Amazing. I had a bad experience here. I had a check engine light on in a 2003 Corolla with 200k miles on it. They honestly suggested I do over 4 thousand dollars worth of repairs. The car was worth 2k max. They tried to get me to do another 2k worth of repairs for my other car shortly after for a car that was driving completely fine. I won't go back.

They are awesome. I took my daughter s car there for the first time. Her car s underneath guard was broken and scraping on the floor. We towed the car there. They all were very friendly and courteous. They did fixed that issue on the same day and not even charged anything. What a service. I recommend everyone to go there.

We aren't from the area and were looking for a new mechanic shop. We took both our aging vehicle 100K + & 200K + miles in here for their needed maintenance and spent $$$$.The service was top notch, very thorough and price point reasonable for all the work we had done. They provide a detailed report, exact pricing and ability to approve or decline work before it happened. Both vehicles were ready same day which was great! Their free shuttle to/from home was so helpful. The front desk is very kind and responsive. I've never seen a company with hundreds of 5 star google reviews, let alone a mechanic shop.The tech that worked on my car fixed a battery issue complimentary out of concern for my safety. It was easy to get an appt, and very friendly persons on the phone and greeting guests. The atmosphere was positive and put together .welcoming. I had to wait an hour longer than I thought, but when I inquired, they apologized for the wait and gave me a free car wash and oil change! I wasn t expecting that, but it was very effective in convincing me to return again. I also feel confident in the mechanic s assessment and that they are fair in pricing and desire what is best for the customer.Service: Oil change

We came in on Friday morning and we were from out of town and needed work done before we left on Sunday. They were so helpful and jumped right on it. Great experience with CBA of Clive. We had a vacation coming up and wanted to get our van in for an inspection and make any necessary repairs to ensure a safe drive. The inspection was performed with full transparency and the repairs needed were clearly demonstrated. Once given a quote and estimated time of completion, I agreed to the repairs. The technicians worked diligently and got my vehicle done in a fraction of the time quoted which also saved me hundreds of dollars in the end.I highly recommend this business for all your vehicle repair needs.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Vehicle Inspection

Had the shop do a custom alignment for my truck. It ended up being close to the spec I wanted (which I had already suspected) but they didn't charge me anything. Their shuttle was very helpful in getting me to and from my office. The lady who helped was very nice, and Joe, who also helped me, understood the custom alignment I was going for. When I picked up the truck from them, I noticed they even aired up my tires which were low before. Overall, I had a great experience with this shop, and the crew there are professional and courteous. I would most definitely would recommend Christian Brothers. My car was making a noise and really scared me. I couldn t get into my usual place in a timely manner to get it fixed and I was also referred to go to Christian Brothers. They fixed my back brakes and my gasket valve on my car. Took detailed notes and let me know what other issues I might have. The communicated with me every step of the way. Arvin was the person I was working with and Steve drove me back home. Christian Brothers Automotive is wonderful! They are super friendly and easy to work with..The air broken in our truck and they got the truck right in and fixed.I tried to find a rental and none were available. So, they let me use one of their loaners.I just can t say enough nice things about them and would definitely recommend them!Service: A/C installation & repair

This was my first time at Christian Brothers and I will 100% be going again for my car needs from here on out. I have been coming here for 2.5 years, and if anyone asks where to go it s Christian Brothers. First their team is knowledgeable, second I always feel like they are treating me like someone they know, they don t sell, they listen and consult. Always friendly, never short, and I feel honest. Kind and knowledgeable staff. They took in a used vehicle that I had purchased for an inspection and provided me with a full mechanical rundown. They take pictures and add notes then review with you there in the shop. They even have a courtesy shuttle!
