Very nice . Nothing fancy. Clean rooms, nice host and well kept grounds. Just FYI, bring your own charging stuff for phones or others. And a plug in. And no coffee pot in rooms. Would stay here again in a heart beat , if traveling thru again. Also looks like they are adding more camper sites. Keep up the good work.

Our cabin was so well takencare of and so clean. My husband and I enjoyed our evening at the Country Cabins. The office staff lady was so friendly and helpful. She recommended a good eatery in town where we enjoyed our anniversary dinner. We followed dinner by attending the Saturday evening Soda Pop Saloon music program. We will recommend these venues to all! Thank you for a wonderful time. Trudie and Tom Wood

I'd give 6 stars if possible. They over booked and treated my extra well by giving me a wonderful suite. I highly recommend this unique lodging experience!Rooms: Very Clean!

We had a 6 family reunion at Country Cabins and it was one GREAT weekend! The cabins are gorgeous, all brand new with a nice floor-plan and cute themes. The beds are top notch with new, high-end mattresses! GREAT night's sleep! The common area is great, we had a nice bonfire both nights we were there and the stars are gorgeous. There's a public lake across the street, great for fishing and swimming! We will definitely be back!

Love it. Felt very at home in the cabins. Very quiet and peaceful, loving the cabin feel. I really recommend this place to anyone who wants to camp in a cabin. Loved the pond view. Could not get over it. Like I said in my videos how can u not enjoy that perfect view

What a great place to stay! We just had our family reunion at Country Cabins.We had 100+ relatives. Some from out of state, some from out of town, and some local .It could not have been a better place for us to have a reunion .The community room was great! A place for us to relax as a group, get out of the heat and prep the food. The cabins are very clean, with all the comforts of home .We enjoyed the different themes and the beds and pillows are very comfy . Important right!!!!!!!!! Our relatives from out of state said they wish they had such a great venue to host at! The view of the pond was beautiful and the fishing was fun! We really enjoyed the fire pits at night. I cannot say enough about how accommodating Nick and Deb are to ensure that their guests are comfortable and happy ! If a party of two or a party of 100 ! They truly go above and beyond I cannot wait for our next visit to country cabins, it gets better every time we visit! Thank you for providing such great accomodations in my home town!

Very calm, quiet, and clean. They have a pond area and a beach. The kids got to play in the sand. And we took a nice walk through the wooded path area. Close to a gas station in case you forgot anything. Definitely a nice place to get away from home

This is truly an excellent secret........Or so we thought! After reading all the reviews I find we are not the only people who have enjoyed the experience at Country Cabins in Chariton! We have been going for six years and Every time was great! The owners go all out for comfort, super clean and so helpful when needed! We have stayed in 5 of the cabins and hard to have a favorite but cabin #10 is so peaceful in front of the water..out of the way and private that we like that the best! Love the themes...love the story behind the growth of this place and Nick is the nicest! Beds and linens are so top notch....I can t believe the price so reasonable. We drive further to the races in Knoxville than we prefer because this place is so worth it! Recommend to anyone who wants value for the dollar! Our grandkids still talk about sleeping in the Harley camper so many years ago when we stayed in Harley themed suite! A vacation to remember for sure! Thanks Nick & Deb for allowing us to be part of your story and making good memories for our family.

We stayed in cabin 10.What a beautiful cabin.Everything about it was made with your comfort in mind.The beds are so comfortable, and the sheets couldn't be more soft.The owner is so friendly and truly cares about their guests comfort.We will be back again.

These themed cabins are very nice! You won't believe the detail they go into with each cabin.Plenty of space and accomodations and they have a new pond stocked with fish! Management is really great to work with too. I definitely recommend them!

Absolutely one of the cleanest places there is , very friendly staff and very reasonable rates. We have stayed in the cabins and the hotel and both are very nice !! We have also parked our motorhome at the campground..... Love staying there every time!!!Would highly recommend!!!

Peaceful, back to nature areaCabins are very nice and mostly affordable. Beds very comfortable and the cabins are very clean. Some have full kitchensOthers have full refrigerator and a microwave. Great getaway. Service is great and everyone is really friendly and outgoing.

Country cabins is by far the best place we've stayed at since coming to Knoxville races. Most comfortable beds, cleanest rooms, fresh smelling towels. Friendy people and awesome owners. Thank you for making our stay wonderful!! We will be back. Noemi & Laverne. Albert Lea MN

The good: Lots of beds and tables in a very spacious room. Easily able to accommodate our group of 10. The beds are comfortable, and there are extra pillows and blankets. The air conditioning works well and we were nice and cool, with the temperature outside hovering around 90. Dishes cups and silverware are all provided as well as a wine opener. The rooms have a stove fridge and microwave. They brought us extra towels. The room had a rustic yet comfortable feel. There's a state park near by that has a beach with a swimming area. The price was very reasonable.The Bad: They no longer have the mini golf. It closed down about a year ago. There are pretty much no amenities other than a gift shop and a non alcoholic saloon onsite. The cover to get in to the saloon is 7 dollars. The TV in the cabin is small and it's hard to see it across the wide spacious floor plan. The wifi signal is not great and devices had trouble staying connected. There's limited cell service and we had trouble with making or receiving calls.Overall it worked well as a simple, clean, place to stay for a couple nights, and we were able to avoid eating out at restaurants.

This was a great place to stay. The rates were great. The suite easily accommodated our family of 6. The staff was friendly and helpful.We look forward to making this an annual destination.

Beautiful place to stay. Friendly service and a clean cabin. We stayed in Cabin #10, Well's Cabin, and it was very private with a deck overlooking a pond. There's no food service available but we were easily able to have food delivered (from Chux--delicious!!) and there's a BP convenience store a mile or so down the road. Will probably make plans to stay there every summer.

This place is awesome. Very clean, super friendly staff. Only two drawbacks-no shampoo and smaller toilet seat. Other than that it is great. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

Very beautiful cabins. Clean and offer the best military discount ever. Anyone looking for a great and peaceful get away... This is a great place to stay it's quiet and cozy a home away from home. Clean and beautiful. The beds are amazing! The owner is great! There is a cabin for everyone!

We've stayed at the Country Cabins twice now and had a great experience both times. Each room is themed and every one has the capacity to sleep more people than you might expect. Whatever you need, just ask the staff and they will bend over backwards to accomodate you. Looking forward to visit #3!

10 stars! Awesome place to stay! Cabins are cute, cozy and very relaxing! Also very clean! Brought all our own food and grilled right outside our cabin! Located right across from the state park which is great for hiking! Pre-booked already for next year! Cant wait!

Stayed there over labor day weekend for a family get away. Awesome place! Rooms were clean,very spacious and the owners were great! We will diffently be booking another get away soon! But for a longer stay! Thanks for the great weekend!

My husband is prior Navy. We went to visit a shipmate he hasn't seen in 34 years. The owner, Nick, gave us his military themed cabin and gave us a veteran's discount. We had a very nice cabin by the pond. It was beautiful and peaceful. We will visit again.

Great place to stay, quiet and clean. Good fishing in the pond and nearby. Close to good food and stuff to do. Well kept and appointed. Dish TV in the cabins. Wifi is spotty so bring a hotspot if you need it or skip it since you are on vacation.My only complaint is the peacocks across the street...if you stay and hear weird noises that you don't know what they are it's the birds.

My experience at Country Cabins was a pleasant surprise. The facilities are nice and we'll kept and the owners are great and very accommodating. If you are in the area and need a place to stay I would highly recommend one of their cabins. The units without bathrooms we're also very nice and right next to a bath house with two full private bathrooms. There are fire pits with firewood and grills with propane available onsite and the cabins I stayed in have kitchenettes. They recently built a pond on-site that some of the cabins overlook, it will be a nice feature in the future once it has filled with water. It is planned to feature fishing and swimming once it is done. For now those activities are available at Red Haw Lake right down the road.
