Very dishonest. Took my new (to me) truck in for a good once over and service. They must have seen dollar signs above my head when I walked in.1. Told me that my drum brakes in the rear needed to be completed replaced and it would be ~2500. Well I don't have drum brakes. It's disc on all for ends. Then told me that all discs and calipers needed replaced. I said no after that. I took the truck to another shop that was more honest and they said it all looked great and didn't need a thing. I have now driven the truck around the midwest and Canada and the brakes have been flawless.2. Told me that my differential needed major inspection and it would be ~$500. They ended up replacing a $5 breather hose and charged $500.3. During the oil change for the truck and generator, they said I had an oil leak and charged a bunch for trying to track it down. They said they'd need another $500 to clean the engine to track the leak down. I declined. I found they didn't have a crush washer on the oil drain so it was dripping slightly. After that was swapped I have had no issues since.4. I asked them to inspect 'A' belt. The inspection cost more than just replacing ALL of the belts at once. They then charged me double to replace all the belts plus the inspection, which was not necessary since all the belts were changed.I told them enough as they were obviously crooked and trying to rack up an even bigger cost. In all - I walked out of there and paid $2500 for an oil change and belts replaced. I do not recommend them in the slightest.

I am amazed by the courtesy this shop shows and how they keep the drivers informed. You just don't get this kind of service anymore. I wandered around and got pictures of their decorations while I was at it.

This was suppose to be a couple hours of work that tool 8 days. I lost 1k everyday truck was in that shop. I believe they were racist. Once I mention that they are all happy going home while my truck there, also accused them of been racist. Truck was fixed right away. NEVER AGAIN.

Horrible service. Now here in hotel for 8 Days. Their motto we'll be in touch. Problem is they're never in touch. Not one returned call in 8 Friggin days. Never get straight answers, always evavise on what they are working on. I could go on and on. Will never come back to this joint. Bottom line is this place sucks. Go somewhere else to get repaired

Greg, Noah, and Brenda were completely committed and super helpful! I will bring our trucks from far away to this dealership solely on the confidence that this crew will do right by us. Again I was worried it would be a bogged down bank breaker, but they diagnosed the problem and gave me gave some honest and right on options. Thank you guys. I am always left feeling better when my drivers leave your place.

The people here are great. They couldn t have been better to my husband while our truck was worked on. The service department was great. They worked nonstop to make sure our truck was fixed as fast but the right way as they could. Michael Melancon and Greg Bertrand was two of the greatest people you ever meet They always kept us informed of what they were doing and was just great. If you have a problem and are close to Thompson Truck. Please give them a call. You won t regret it.

Great service, they were waiting for me when I arrived, greeted me before I got out of my truck. Kept me updated, finished in less time than they had estimated. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly. Company I work for is a big customer, which l know makes a difference, but they seemed to be courteous and friendly to everyone, from what I saw.

I was told 185 an hour for labor and was told I would be told if it takes over an hour which they didn t do. My truck was there for 2.5 hours but they did NOT work on my truck for 2.5 hours in full, and charged me 540 dollars for labor. Ridiculous, will make sure to never ever be back. I was charged for 3 hours of labor for an hour max of work.

Very good people working here. Brought my driver there worried I was going to have to pay out the nose and wait forever. Opposite happened. Greg and then Tom went out of their way to help and get things done quickly. They worked efficiently with Navistar to diagnose and fix my driver's truck. I am deeply appreciative and will gladly sent as much business to Thompson as I can.

Excellent! Super friendly, honest, and quick! I really love how they don't push you off. They want to do the work and give you the best opinion. What they quoted is what we paid. Fair prices. Very clean, friendly place...will definitely be back when needed! Thanks guys! Keep on keepin' on!

Had been to two international dealers across the states and our company shop three times and no one could get the air conditioner fixed. It would only work for a day after leaving those shops. Well I have always had excellent work done at Thompsons so I endured the heat and got it there. They listened to everything i had went through and tackled it ! Here I am 3 weeks later with air still. These guys rock. They actually listen to the driver!

Thompson truck and trailer are the best, very professional, their pricing is also very reasonable.I arrived in Cedar Rapids Iowa late at Night, I was worry that my truck was needing services and I requested an appointment for the very next day, I didn't think anyone would call me since I did it over the internet.but as early as 7:00am Brenda Called me and check me in so quick.their technicians are very professional inspecting your truck and giving you advise.my truck runs great after they performed services and their pricing is very reasonable.Salvador Lara Recomends this place.

These guys are PHENOMENAL! I cannot say enough good things about them! After our truck broke down for the ump-teenth time, we were towed to Thompson Truck and Trailer and met with Greg to discuss what would happen next. Greg is exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and I don't think that it's a coincidence that our truck was actually fixed this time, and we weren't given a bandaid to fix a broken bone, so to say. And our truck was fixed in a timely fashion- she was dropped off at around 1:30 and we received a call before dinner that she was ready to go! I'm so incredibly grateful for these guys getting us back on the road, and for thier kindness. It's refreshing to do business with a company that has such great customer service and supurb craftsmanship to match. If i got to choose where to have things go wrong, it would be here, where they make things right. Thank you, Greg, Tom and crew for giving myself and my fiance such a seamless experience.

Over a month to repair my truck. All it need was the electronics replaced in the distributor a 1977 international. Had no spark going into their shop took them over a month and $1800 to figure out that the electronic need to be replaced. Had 2 keys made there for it just a plain key like a house key and they charged $26 for the repair. If you want people to waste your money they are the ones to go to.

If you want to throw away your money come to Thompson Truck. They even have a $200+ fee for miscellaneous like washers they may need. A $500 fix will cost you $2500.

Great new shop. Service manager and mechanic kept me informed on each step of my repair along with an accurate time estimate. That's all I ask for. And they were friendly which is a plus.

Highly great customer service I would give these guys 100 stars if I could I kept gettin hacked by the international dealer in Baltimore and drive 1,000 miles to Cedar Rapids to get some good service they are the only dealer to get my truck in and out in 1 day I highly recommend these guys they make me feel like family Tom the service advisor deserves a raise for his great 1 on 1 people skills he explains all diagnoses and repairs to you and thoroughly with a smile on his face if you come once you will be back again

complete crooks... long story short i had an estimate for $600-$800 to replace a solenoid valve in an allison trans. they instead replaced a wiring harness that didnt fix the problem. then they replaced the solenoid and noticed that the valve was scarred but didnt replace the valve like i wanted. after that not working they finally replace the valve and it was fixed. ending up costing $1400 for a $40 dollar valve that only took 3 hours.... all they know how to do is throw parts at it on customers expense.

Excellent experience the staff is very informative and resourceful they have a small drivers lounge yet very accommodating and comfortable they have a snack machine but ya better bring some drinks because they don't have a drink machine for the drivers

Body shop manager says he'll call back however never does. So he is essentially a lier. Disappointed in Thompson truck and trailer representative. I recommend taking your business elsewhere.
