I finally found an auto shop I can trust! "Reliable" truly defines them. I was about to get a new vehicle because of issues another shop caused, and Reliable Auto fixed the problems at a very reasonable price, saving me loads of money! I've taken my car to them several times and I haven't had a bad experience yet. Honest, down-to-earth owner who sets himself apart by providing fast, quality service and offering solid advice on your vehicle concerns. Pretty sure they accept drop-ins and offer payment plans too (don't quote me), which is a godsend to people who are already struggling and met with the extra burden of vehicle issues. Good people doing good work!

Trevor, James and Mattie were very kind, helpful and informative. I needed to get a few things fixed on my car and they were able to diagnose and resolve the issues same day (brakes and caliper main things)! Thank you all for being able to get my car back on the road :) and a special thank you for being open on Saturday :)

I came to them for an inspection after I began hearing a noise that I figured was indicative of a worn wheel bearing. They were able to pull it in and take a look right there and then and quickly confirmed my suspicion. I was quoted a reasonable price and they fixed it same day, even giving me a ride home and back while they did the work! Staff was very friendly and offered an overall positive experience. I've only lived in CR a couple years now and never had much need for mechanic services, so I figured I'd give them a shot and I'm glad I did. They'll be my mechanic going forward.

They are the best mechanic I've ever been to!Their receptionist is by far the friendliest and outgoing I've ever met as well we were there for only 5 hours in that time they saved my livelihood (which is my truck) I brought it to them thinking it was a lost cause they worked on it till i could drive it home and to work the next day!!!!!!The staff kept me informed the whole way and it was the most pleasant time I've ever had at an auto shop..Thank you so much Reliable auto maintenance.!!

Do not go here especially if you re a young woman they will screw you. I first went in Nov to get my timing chain fixed for 2,000 and then not even a month later it had the same things happening. I got a diagnostic from a different place and they told me to go back and demand they do it again since the engine codes were for the timing chain. Reliable didn t do anything about the timing chain but charged me another 2,000 for something else. During that they kept my car for a week and when I would call to ask how it was going and if I could pick it up they said it would be ready later in the afternoon this went on for 5 days. Two weeks after my second visit my car acted up again so I took it to four guys auto where they said my timing chain was messed up and reliable hadn t cleaned pipes that were full of oil like they should ve so it messed up my engine and now I have to get a new car. Four guys said they should ve started with a new engine in the beginning but believes they dragged out the timing chain and crank shaft problems so I would keep spending money. Unfortunately four guys also said they had 3 other vehicles that week in for timing chain issues that weren t done properly by reliable the first time either they re running a money sucking service

I got a fuel pump put in my truck by them. The day it got done I had an EVAP code come on. I took it to them to see if they could take a another look at it and they said nothing was wrong. 2 weeks later the line came off the tank and I had fuel everywhere. The line was not put on correctly by them when they replaced the fuel pump. $700 I had to spend for there mess up.

I am really glad that I found this place this will be my go to mechanic from now on all the staff was really helpful and friendly they took their time and were honest and got my car fixed up and good to go with a reasonable price and my car is running great and doing much better now! Thank you so much 10/10 recommend

This is a Great shop! I came in with a problem and rather than just fixing it and sticking me with a huge bill, they communicated their diagnostics, we went over some possible solutions together, and at the end they charged a fair and reasonable price for their time and work. I like to do repairs myself but sometimes I don't always have the tools or knowledge needed for the job. Having a great shop like this in your corner for those hard times is amazing.

They supposedly fixed a timing chain on my vehicle the oil started leaking that wasn t happening before they touched the car now 2 other auto repair places say they didn t fix the timing chain properly and now my car needs a new engine. Do not trust them

I was told about this shop by 3 different ppl so when we decided to take our 2013 Ford Explorer XLT 4wd in to get our heat checked they diagnosed the problem and solved it right then no hassle even the shop owner James stepped in to help his guys out on figuring out the problem. Good customer service and I will be going back for future work. Thanks James

I have finally found a repair shop I can trust! All staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I needed to have my wheel bearing replaced. The job was done quickly and properly and staff kept in touch with me via email throughout the whole process. They even reduced the price of the part to keep my final price the same as the estimate I recieved over the phone. I highly recommend this repair shop to all my friends and family and this is the only place I trust to work on my car.

Loved the amazing and friendly atmosphere in there!! Amazingly enough they were able to get the locked lugnuts off, and put different ones on!! The new tires worked out nicely!! Will be coming back in the future!!

If there was a way to leave less than one star, I would. Purchased a part elsewhere and wanted it changed out here. Spent $115 for them to simply install the part. Not only was the check engine light still on when I got my car back, but they never checked it. They claim the brand new part is bad, but should have told us from the start that the light was still on. They didn't check a single thing and let us drive it away with the check engine light still on and stole $115 from us. So now we have to go get another part elsewhere and spend more money to fix what they didn't. Never again! This was not our first time taking our cars here, but it will be our last.

Reliable Auto Maintenance is the only place I trust with my vehicle. They have always explained everything I need in detail and have always found time to fit me in to fix it. James replaced back coil springs, right outer tie rod, and left front wheel bearing. Had me in and out in about 4 hours as I needed my car that day. Was honest with me did not try to get over cause I was a woman. Would highly recommend them. Will be using them again.

Okay, reasonable prices. Didn't do or offer to do the alignment which I thought would have been a give in. Otherwise above and beyond customer service. I understand every mechanic is different in work speed, experience, and quality. However, it sill doesn't feel the best to be charged for full labor costs when they do it in less then half the quoted time.

This is the place togo when you re in a bind, my truck was overheating on a Saturday with some severe radiator and transmission issues, not only were they the only place to answer the phone after trying several shops. They stayed late and got it done the same day on short notice! James will let you know every detail of what needs to be done and offer a fair price in the process! My car broke down on Labor Day weekend in a town I didn't know these guys got me in right away we're stand up dudes, couple hundred dollars cheaper than anywhere around, the mechanic was so knowledgeable about what was going on I couldn't believe he worked there. This is the definition of a five-star business for auto maintenance work. Cheap, honest, great attitude, and went out the way to get me in so I could get back on the road. Hands down 5 stars. THANKS AGAIN GUYS!!!!

Called James at 2 PM on a Saturday explaining that my alternator went out and I'm 2 hours from home. His hours say they close at 2:30, but he said he would be there when I got my Pilot to him. After buying the part, swapping a battery and driving 3 miles to get to him it was already nearly 3 PM! Greeted me with a smile and took care of me like we were best friends! On top of all that, it was JAMES'S birthday. He stayed late and treated me like gold on a SATURDAY AND HIS BIRTHDAY!Service was beyond what I could have asked for.Service: Electrical

The diagnostic was quickly done, the explanation easy to understand, and the quote was reasonable, considering the fact that there was a major problem with my brakes. They fixed my brakes and rotated my tires in just over an hour. They also noticed a rear light was burned out and replaced it, which likely spares me a conversation with a state trooper or local LEO. Seriously, who ever checks those? The managers were professional, patient, and friendly. Some places try to tack on extraneous services and talk down to customers who have no auto expertise. Others miss steps as if they are rushing jobs to fill quotas--we've all seen this somewhere. Not at Reliable Auto Maintenance. These guys are truly invested in helping people and it shows in each interaction. The experience was as pleasant as shelling out to fix a vehicle could have been. Exceptional! I have nothing but great things about this business! We started taking our companies fleet vehicles to them and have had great service with quick turnaround. When selling a vehicle one of the employees even came out to help put some dielectric on our cam sensor. Our employees now trust them to take their own personal vehicles. These guys are awesome. Had to come to Cedar Rapids for a medical appointment and had car problems. They helped us out and they were great in every way.
