Originally my experience was good as far as getting my trailer fixed but 1 week later the air bag that was replaced blew out again because the nut that's supposed to be on the bottom of the bag was gone. All I asked for was for them to pay for the new bag and I was told no because it was a week later. I will never call them to fix anything again. The nut was gone and I'm pretty sure that's the reason the bag tilted the way it did and as far as the base being broken I broke that taking the bag out. I should have taken a picture of it before I took it out I guess. I don't know where the nut went or when it came off but I would like to think after being a driver for over 30 years that I have some knowledge about how things work.

I had an unexpected issue with my truck. Nobody wants to get repairs on the road, but if you're near Cedar Rapids and you have an issue, these are definitely the folks to call. The cost was reasonable, the wait was fine and the people are top notch! They are friendly, professional and very nice folks. I would highly recommend them for both emergency and non emergency service! Their phone number is in the picture.

Hello everyone. So, I had a couple of issues with my trailer. The DOT and having an air leak. I was instructed to take my trailer to this repair facility. This establishment goes above and beyond to get your equipment repaired and you back on the road. The repair technician that worked on my trailer was Mr. Breezy. He brought all of his necessary tools and equipment to repair my trailer. Did I tell you he was working in the snow? He had be back on the road in no time. If you need trailer repair work, please please please call Papa s. I would recommend this place to anyone. Once again, great work Mr. Breezy. Take care everyone .

Thank you Papa's truck, and trailer repair. You saved me today, with great work after my trailer got hit on top corner.Took to one across the the street (Do's) and they were rude, wasted my time over 30 minutes, then to tell me they can't patch, either they can get fix. And I took to papa's THEY ARE GOOD WELCOMING, TOOK ME IN IMMEDIATELY AND STARTED WORK ON THE TRAILER BATCH LIKE NEW, AND EVEN GAVE ME ESTIMATE FOR PERMANENT FIX, reasonable priced, saved me from missing my next pick up on busy Friday.I ll really come back again.They went ahead check my trailer for leaking air n fixed the punctured tire too THANK YOU PAPA'S, AND ALL FRIENDLY WORKERS THERE

Holly with Papa's towing was AWESOME to work with!!! Very kind and professional! I could almost see her smile over the phone while we were talking! It's nice to know there are still some kind and honest people out there. I'd recommend Papa's to anyone!!

These guys are life savers I waited 8 hrs in the snow for a different road service company but they never show up then I called Papas truck & trailer repair and within an hour their tec was here. definitely recommend them they are so kind and helpful shoutout to Dalyn he is the hero for OTR gang

Let me start off by saying thank you to all the guys at the shop including Dylan and mycah . As soon as the tow truck dropped it mycah took off the starter and started taking the transmission quick . All the guys here are very knowledgeable and know what they are doing . Price was good and job was done great no leaks no more troubles . I highly highly highly recommend this shop!! Estimates are estimates and they don t guarantee you that it ll be exactly what they said so if your the person to wine go elsewhere these guys already do an amazing work at a very efficient price !!!!!Update : a couple weeks later my trucks been driving A-1 after getting it fixed by mycah thank you guys again

Fishing is my business and these guys have kept me on the water. I run a 20 Ranger with a tandem trailer. They do it all and have my trailer in top shape for daily travel. 50+ miles a day with a 1500 mile trip every other month. Thanks to Papas!

I was calling Papa's Truck Trailer Repair for a road service job and the dispatcher sent me fast a mechanic and after he showed up he moved very fast with replacement parts, tractor air valve and trailer break chamber. I really appreciate it! Very nice people! Highly recommended!

Had a local delivery in the area on a Sunday and couldn't offload due to a problem with the truck wet kit. Called Papa's up, met the mechanic at the shop, he got my truck fixed up after a little parts run and allowed me to get my load delivered that afternoon. The mechanic was very personable, but would not allow me to take the old Ford CL 9000 cabover out on the lot for a spin! Thank you for the excellent service!Came in again on 11/8/19 needing trailer repairs, hydraulic line on trailer blew out and also had a tire going flat. The guys went right to work on repairing the trailer, working threw their lunch in the cold weather, replaced the lines and bought a used trailer tire and I was back on the road to make my delivery. Papa's fixing us up again!

Don't use them!!! I don't know how they got such good reviews, who are they paying for writing those reviews?? They overcharged us for the one battery replacement. Normally it takes about an hour to replace all four batteries on a semi-truck, but they charged us for 2.5 hours for replacing only one battery, the battery price they sell $125. Think twice before you call them, and don't be mislead by those great reviews. The replacement of one battery will cost you over $650! I don't want to think how much would the bill be for replacing all 4. They will not accept your rolling stock exemption either!

Had a hub blow out on my boat trailer as I was passing thru the area. Contact Papa's Truck & Trailer, they came out and got the tire and, then when into town to get a hub, repaired the trailer with an award-winning service. Thanks

They did an awesome job. My vehicle had to be towed in and their tow driver John communicated his arrival time well and was very professional. Due to the fact I was from out of town I waited at the shop for my repair. Although I was there for several hours the waiting area was comfortable, and they had a courtesy driver there who offered to take me anywhere I needed to go, even just to pick up lunch and come back. The mechanics informed me of the issue and repaired it the same day. Overall I was very pleased with the staff and shop.

Doesn't communicate or follow up. More importantly, doesn't complete projects on time. Been here 3 times and each time it's been the same. Last time they were supposed to provide a list for us and didn't. Also, we were having our RV being worked on, which is our home, and bc they didn't have it completed in time we had to sleep in it in their parking lot at night. A bit pricey, as well. $1300 for front brakes.

Folks were super friendly. However, it took them 6 hours to get to me roadside after a quote of 3 hours due to afterhours call. Driver was very friendly and performed his job well once on site. The slow trend continued once at the shop. Kenworth is 5 minutes from the shop. I literally was just getting a starter replaced. 6 hours in the shop and an almost 1100 dollar bill later they finally managed to replace a 2 bolt/3 terminal starter.Great guys. Great attitudes. Not very timely though.

Owner operators.... do not go here to get work done. Glorified oil change techs. Over charged parts and labor. Sure, labor is 105 per hour, but when a 1 hour job gets billed as 2, you're obviously getting screwed. If they break something due to their own negligence, they won't absorb the cost of the part, which is marked up, you do. Very unorganized. Very poor communication. It took an hour just to try and pay the bill and leave. Their part locating process is horrific. You're better off doing this yourself, which is what I did. You've been warned...

rear diff replacement done fast and efficiently with a great crew and excellent service. staff was really friendly. I would recommend these guys for all your heavy duty repairs! Thanks Guys. Keep up the hard work!

I had a pick up in Cedar Rapids and noticed leak on the rear drive axle due to worn seal. Brake shoes oil soaked. Called this shop at 3:30pm and they told me to come in. I was out of shop and back on the road by 6pm!!! For this kind of service more than reasonable price. I highly recommend these guys and happy to have them on my map!

Great staff, immediate service, effective repair at a reasonable price. I was 2 days out from using my van and trailer to move across country. I had different shop install the brake controller in my van to control the trailer brakes, but it did not work. Papa's was recommended to me, so I took the van and trailer into Papa's Within 4 hours they had diagnosed and fixed my trailer brake issues. Apparently the other repair shop screwed up the brake controller installation. Papa's charged me half as much as the shop that installed the brake controller incorrectly.Services: Car towing, Brakes

Got my truck in very shortly after I arrived, very polite kept in touch with what was going on and if i wanted to do certain repairs. Got my truck back in a little over 24hrs and working great. Will definitely be using papa's again if i need any repairs and am in the area.

I'm from the Chicagoland area, happened to be in Cedar Rapids for a delivery and my truck started leaking diesel. I was able to make it to the shop and they got me in and out at an affordable price. As an owner of a truck and trailer company ourselves, we are very impressed with Papas. They got our driver right in (and before 8am) to get our trailer door hung. Very reasonable prices that they are upfront about and great customer service. If we are in need of a repair in this area again, we will be returning!

They got me back on the road quickly after a blowout destroyed the wiring to my tail lights. Super grateful.Wish their waiting room was cleaner but it's pretty typical of a small truck garage.

I had an air leak on one of my tires and I needed a patch.Not on a line and was worked on when I got there.It took this shop two hours to get my patch doneAfter waisting my time I ended up Late for my delivery AptAnd they charged 275 Dollars for one semi truck tire patch .I resisted to pay that amount they later told me to pay $171 Dollars for one semi tire patchWatch out for this Truckers.

They helped us tow three semi trailers today, the price was beyond awesome!!! They also do wonderful mechanical work on my company trucks, they have always been honest and helpful. I would definitely give them my recommendation.
