Just left McGrath Powersports with my brand new (To me) 2020 Yamaha MT-10. Blake and the rest of the staff made made what is normally very stressful into a super fun and memorable experience. They were all very patient with me even though I had it on hold for a week. I was treated like family and there s nothing but good things to say. Therefore they deserve all 5 stars and I will be shopping with McGrath in the future!

I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. This dealership has a long standing reputation of screwing people over. I finally decided to give them a chance as I was interested in one of their used bikes. They lied about it being crashed initially, and then proceeded to sell it out from under me after wasting my time, credit, etc. I have been a long time customer and will not be returning.Sun and fun motors in Iowa city will gladly take your business, and handle themselves like a professional business should.

Great sales transaction. I wasn t sure what I was going to do on a new bike and was in and out of the store a number of times. John in sales was great, would greet me and we would talk about my options. Long and short I got great deal on a new moto. John in sales was fantastic! Excellent staff from management to parts and service. Couldn t be happier with how smooth everything went. I recommend McGrath Powersports.

John S our salesman was great, he communicated, followed up and made sure the deal was done. He was a cool guy to work with. Sterling the manager is awesome and worked hard to get our business. The entire experience at McGrath from start to finish was flawless. The staff in every department was helpful, fun and all had a smile on their face. When we picked the bike up they took us thru the Poker Run going to each department in the store, finishing up with a rundown on the bike. The store is also stocked with tons of parts, gear and apparel.

All of the associates at McGrath Powersports were very helpful and patient. They answered all of my questions and if they didn t know the answer they found the answer(s) for me. John Schaffer was my sales associate. He was very welcoming when I first stopped into the store. He was patient and helpful with all of my questions and assisted me greatly in finding the answers to my many additional questions. He was kind and always found time to visit with me when I stopped into the store, even if he was with another customer. My experience with McGrath Powersports was a very positive one.

Everyone that I worked with here was friggen awesome. John helped me over multiple days pick out a great bike and feel confident in my choice as someone who has never ridden. Streeter, and the rest of the business folks went above and beyond with their customer service by getting me a great deal at their own loss when my initial deal fell through. Hunter was great walking me through the paperwork and presenting options that were actually reasonable and not being pushy when I declined them (unlike how a used car dealership might do).Charlie and Sam in parts & accessories spent a lot of time getting me set up with everything I need to ride and answering all my questions.Overall 10/10, amazing experience and I'll be back for sure!

I purchased a used 2019 KTM from a non KTM dealer. It began having issues that required it to be taken to a KTM dealer to be connected to KTM diagnostics.I called the closest KTM dealer to me and was told it was a complicated issue and they didn't even know if they could do it. I was told they had to call KTM and would get back with me. I tried to follow up and was given the run around.I called MCGRATH POWERSPORTS and was told it was a simple fix and I would not even need an appointment. I made one anyway.Took my KTM in. The service staff was very friendly and helpful. They had the issue taken care of in fifteen minutes! This included bringing a possible recall to my attention and inspecting my bike. It was not affected after all.I was not charged for my visit. I would have never believed a dealer service department no matter automotive or powersports would do ANYTHING for free.Thank you MCGRATH POWERSPORTS!

Just bought a 2016 Harley Davidson Roadster from McGrath. Ethan and John are top notch guys to go see for all or your power sport needs. They were very helpful. Ethan even held my 4 year olds hand while I took the bike for a ride! What a great group, made us feel very welcome and did everything possible to get the deal done.

Ethan the sales person and Nick the finance person were the nicest people I have ever dealt with when buying a motorcycle. They were both knowledgeable and very responsive to any questions I had. I would highly recommend McGrath Powersports to anyone looking for a recreational type vehicle.Julio

It took a little bit, but I got the bike I wanted. Their staff are friendly and engaging, but some of them lack basic knowledge of the bikes they're selling. Otherwise, I had a great time and applaud their patience with me!

Great place, great people. Purchased a '23 Kawasaki KLX 110R for my daughter. I worked with John S. and he was friendly, courteous, easy to chat with, good guy in my opinion. I'll definitely do business with them again.

I would like to give a shout out to Sam Ketchum for his excellent customer service. I was looking for a new adventure helmet and he helped me find the perfect fit. The helmet was priced wrong by mistake, 250 dollars below msrp and they honored the price. Thanks Sam and mcgrath powersports for great customer service.

Well not sure why but seen a used bike online at this dealership was contacted by sales man nick. I live out of state so before I traveled asked for some closer pictures and for a price out the door. I told the sales guy I didn't want to trade anything in that I wanted a price out the door and wanted to buy the 2017 goldwing. He just never got back to me .I emailed him again and nothing. I'm very disappointed that a person wanting to buy a used bike cash and has such a hard time.

Hi my name is Jorge I was with my friend lavore bland he bought the indian challenger dark horse. Just wanted to come out here and say a big thank you to John Shaffer for being a big help and explaining everything to Lavore to the T. I myself enjoyed the time I was there. Also a big thanks to everyone at Mcgrath powersports. I would recommend mcgrath powersports to other and hopefully I myself can walk out with a bike.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! This place is extremely discriminatory. If you bought in 2023 and check your purchase agreement. Did they tact on a theft protection? They discriminated against customers in the finance room to make a couple extra bucks. This theft protection cost them $79 but they charged you $399. Also for gap you can get it through your insurance company for a lot less if you pay more than $499 for a 5 year term it's not worth it they will try to upsell you as much as 999 for it. As for the service contract agreement it's up charged $800 for profit most of the time if not more. Always tell them it's not worth the price unless it's worth a good deal. As for the freedom pack it might be worth it for a side by side but don't get on any other vehicles. Also never pay more than $2500 on a side by side unless you use it and everyday. Not to forget they judge what you drive in and drive the price up of the vehicle based on that.Disclaimer: This is a former employee who got "let got" due to abssentiesm with PTO for an ADA covered cause with an open EEOC charge they won't respond to.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE. About a month and a half ago I inquired about a 23 Polaris Northstar premium. On the site it said it was new with 1 mile and not sure of price. Never heard from them for a week so I decided to go in. Once there I asked about the machine and it ended up being something completely different than advertised. It actually had 7300 miles on it needed clutch work (supposedly 4 or 5k worth) and they were unsure if they were going to even sell it or send it to auction. Talked with the guy a little more and he was going to call the next day with more info. I believe I didn't get a call for about 2 or 3 days after that. By that time we had changed our mind to a crew ultimate with not knowing how hard the used one was with it needed that much work or so they said. So last week I went into look at a 24 Northstar crew ultimate and was ready to buy pending price/deal. Go to look at machine I was interested in and started to get the sales talk which was fine. I then started talking about accessories we would want and this is where it gets good. As soon as I said that we would put the accessories on no need for yall to do it, I started to get the customers aren't knowledgeable enough to put a turn signal kit in or maybe they could put some mirros on but they'd have to do the rest not knowing anything about me which really put a sour taste in my mouth. I also could not get a right now OTD price for the hour that I was there talking about it. The sales person also was adiment and asked about 5 times if I could afford this Side x Side without knowing my finances. I also had 2 quotes/invioces from other places that i was going off of and when i told them what others came back with after them saying they go for 37-42, it was like me saying i saw bigfoot. The exact response was "There aint no way, and imma have to see the invoice cause theres no way theyre selling them that cheap." I showed the photo on the paper invioce i had and then it was "I don't know where they got their numbers and where did you get your number of what you wanted to pay." It's been a week since that time frame of going in a 2nd time with no answer on what they could do for that machine. There was a lot more fluff than actual answering of questions because we knew what we wanted and were trying to wheel and deal. I just wanna say if you want a great deal on a Northstar go to RJs or Shroom motorsports, they will wheel and deal and actually get back with you the next morning when they say they will. I will make sure I never step foot in the McGrath powersports store again and recommend everyone to shop somewhere else. I would also like to let McGrath know RJs was able to do $100 better than the 35,500 we wanted for a 24 Polaris Northstar crew Ultimate.

Back in May I decided I wanted to start riding motorcycles and went here after seeing a beautiful 2018 Yamaha R3 on their website. The shopping experience and the buying process was great! As I was looking at the bike I saw online I was approached by a sales person by the name of Brandon. He was super friendly and he knew his stuff. He had answers to all my questions and as a new rider he gave great recommendations. He had me sit on a few other bikes just to get the feel for them before I decided on one. Ultimately I ended up with the R3 I saw online, I was in love with it. We started the paperwork and got the ball rolling. It took a few hours because I needed financing so it was a lot of waiting around which was to be expected. I gave them the price I wanted on payments and they did their absolute best to help me get as close to a comfortable range. After a few hours we finally got a bank that agreed to finance me with a $2000 down payment. I was unable to pay the entire payment that day but fortunately they were super nice and took what I could give at the time, they held the bike for me until I was able to pay the rest. When I returned to pick up the bike everything went smoothly yet again. I finalized my paperwork along with their awesome finance guy! Apologies, I don t remember his name. They helped me load the bike up and I headed on my way with my first motorcycle. The buying, financing, and pickup process was a great experience! It was however after I got the bike home that things turns a bit. After about 3 weeks I never received my registration and plate. I called them soon after and they said there was an issue with the title, by this time the temp plate they gave me had expired. I asked what was going on and I was told that the title was delinquent and had to be resubmitted to the DMV . Now, as I sit here writing this review over 2 months after getting the bike I have yet to get my plate and registration. I m sure that this is not an issue that would occur with everyone but since this is a review I felt it necessary to mention it. If this issue had not occurred I would have given them 5 stars. Other than this, McGrath Powersports is a fantastic place to shop! Note: they also have a great selection of gear as well! This inconvenience wont stop me from doing business with them in the future, it s just a bit frustrating. I still highly recommend this place! They are great people who know what they are talking about and will do their best to help you, they love to get new people on two wheels! A great friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and fun environment overall. If you re looking for great service and an awesome selection of bikes, ATVs, and other fun toys this is the place to go! P.S. shout out to Brandon who knew exactly who I was when I was in a couple weeks ago to pick up a helmet lol.
