The service guy was great I can't recall the gentleman's name I came in on the weekend I told him I wanted to setup a rig for a camper he was very informative and forth coming very respectful and was appreciated I learned a lot that day thank you sir .

So here is my review for the truck I bought a month ago from this guys.Customer service it s ok.Ashlea (accounting lady) she s helped me with every question I ve got.Chuck (sales person), he was nice to me too but who s gonna be rude when he s selling a 100k$ truck right?So, after I bought this truck i drove it to Chicago to get it registered there and while driving I was getting really bad shakings in my steering wheel, so I went and checked my balancing and alignment right away, and yes both were f****d up.In about 3 days I got all my paperwork ready and got on the road. Since I got loaded with my first load (reefer) I ve been getting real weird noises and knocking in the front area of my truck while driving. So because of that I returned back in Chicago to get my truck checked, and guess what, the whole suspension was f***d, and my center bearing was gone too.Papers that confirm that you will see below. ( it wasn t damn cheap to fix all that). ***3600$*** to fix all this.Meanwhile my friend was bought a truck from the same dealership, and after buying he took it to the shop to check it and gueees what. He needed to change his king pins from the steering axle. ***2000$***Also they re really cheap. They ll sell that truck with bad done recaps for the drive tires and different sizes. Like really?You will think this is it, but that s not it. Right know my truck drives pretty smooth but sometimes I m getting some shacking and dense vibrations. Went again to the shop and looks like I have to change on of my injectors, that s what is causing the problem.I know it s a used truck, and sometimes you have to fix things when buying your truck, but this truck was 100k$ with a 280k miles. For this money I wasn t supposed to get all this issues.I don t know if I ll return or recommend this dealer to someone, unless you have a good mechanic to check youre truck when buying it.P. S there were also small other things that needed to get fixed, but were max 300$ to fix them.

Top notch service!!friendly and welcomingFast and efficient my 2016 volvo had an issue with loosing prime of fuel system , they diagnosed issue and gave a reasonable cost to repair. had injector cups and injectors replaced same day I am very satisfied and will not hesitate to recommend or return when i m in need of service again this was my second visit and both times i was treated well

Needed a drivers window replaced. GATR had one in stock and got me in immediately when they opened. I was back on the road later that morning and was still able to make my delivery in Milwaukee that evening. Great customer service. Highly recommend. Thanks GATR.

I have a new 2023 volvo 860 and only 10k miles on it , I had an issue with the steering wheel and some codes popped up on the dash, I was passing by with a load ,stopped by there and told them my issues and see if they can check it out , they said yes and it's under warranty I shouldn't worry about it. After they have done with the codes but they couldn't find out the problem with the steering wheel and spent only 1 hour for it.AND GUESS WHAT I WAS BILLED $883 LABOR FOR A BRAND NEW TRUCK WHICH STILL HAS BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY !!!! AND THE SERVICE GUY TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD CALL MY DEALER TO GET IT REIMBURSED IT NEXT DAY.BUT I HAVE TO PAY THEM AT THE MOMENT.That truck had the same issue a week before took it a dealership in New jersey didn't get charged a Penny!!!TOTAL RIPPED OFF!!!DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY THERE !PLEASE I BEG YOU READ OTHER REVIEWS AND TAKE PEOPLE'S REVIEWS SERIOUS!!DO NOT GO THERE!!

Outstanding job from the GATR Cedar Rapids part department!I had my truck at another shop to get aligned. They could not align it because my Tie Rod tube was bent. They DONT HAVE ALIGNMENT otherwise I would take to them. I called the GATR parts - the part was in stock and they delivered it to the shop I was getting the alignment at. I appreciate their customer service and recommend them highly!

I would stay away from this dealership. Poor customer service. I personally purchased 2 new trucks from them. Pdi s not done on both trucks. If you even ask a question they will give you an attitude like I m doing you a favor. Too rude. Unprofessional staff. Specially that Called David.Shame on you Volvo to have your trucks handled by this type of dealerships. None of my truck driver friends will ever go close to this dealership.

Came with AC problem, it was leaking somewhere. Explained the problem, promised me to fix the problem in 5-6 hours, but it was missed parts, and was asked wait till tomorrow noon. Truck was not fixed on that time, then i said i can t wait anymore and need to drive.Was charged for 1300$!!!! They didn t fix anything, i shocked 1300$!!! Never come again! I didn t add oil change charge, with oil change bill was over 1600$

Been here several times with mixed results. They really need to pay attention to customer complaints so they fix the issue. I've been in here twice for an electrical gremlin in the dash and it's still there. In fact the first time I fired up the blower it showed within 2mins of starting to unload my pneumatic tank.

Agree with all bad reviews!! Told me new dpf filter will be next day but took 5 days!! Charged around 10000$ and waisted my time. Changed exhaust pipe and temperature protection which don't need to change! Could say more but just want to forget about this bad service and to warn avoid this place!

Going to purchase a truck and seller sent it to GATRS, Cedar Rapids, IA with orders to "go through it and fix everything just like you would before you put one on your lot". Got it back and 50 miles down the road the turbo starts howling. Gatrs lied and said it was 2 wires switched around. What it was is they didn't tighten the bolts. Got it back and did a short run. Transmission slipped, ECU was acting up. Oil leaking from the filler tube and leaking coolant the passenger door wouldn't open and the inverter, bunk heater were not working. Got it back again, The inverter, bunk heater control panel fell out ripping some of the wires. They forgot to put the screws back in it. SIX TIMES it went back. All for the same list of problems. Last time the mechanic came out and asked me if the inverter and bunk heater were supposed to work when the truck wasn't running. A few hours later a different mechanic brought me my keys and said it was done. The bunk heater was working and I was only going to get a couple hours sleep so I went with it. Ended up being wiring issues that I fixed myself. Now, 2 weeks later, it's at a different shop for an ECU fault and they found heat shields that are completely rusted through they say should have been replaced on the initial inspection. Their service guy would tell me one thing while I was standing there on the phone with my boss, I'd hand them my phone to talk to him and their story would change. Wish I could give them 0 stars!

Good truck place as long as they plug everything back in properly, don't bend your fender panels and keep their mitts off the radio when doing test drives

i know sometimes we dont have a choice this time i got to deal whit this shop, they charged me 4k for working on the engine harness ,basically only labor, they need to find and fix it couse of shortage, 10 days after i took the truck ac wasnt working, i was like should be low freon,now another 10 days in another shop just to find out it was what this guys did, they connected back like they shoudnt ,now they are saying its in my head and not theyr fault , over expensive scam shop thats what i can say, i can see it they will find 1001 reasons not to pay the bill,what a waste, if you drive a older truck and speak whit a accent means they can make you go out of bussiness ,talking nice it dant mean a good service, skip this place if you can

I deliver to this place so my review is based on the people in shipping and receiving. Very awesome people to deal with never a dull moment and they always want to make sure you have everything you need taken care of before they let you leave including making sure you know where the facilities are so you're comfortable as you leave

I walked in to get filters and check price on a steering wheel for my Mack .There were 3 guys manning the counter I waited to be acknowledged, two of them got up and went into the back room one was on his computer and then a young lady came out of the back asked me if I had been helped , I answered no then the guy on the computer spoke up and said he'd help me .I told him I was checking on a steering wheel fo my R model and got the I cant help you without a vin number while not even looking my way ..nevermind ..i will never be back

Purchased our first truck here (Cedar Rapids). Traveled 300 miles, from out of state and the experience was more than worth it. Sales (ask for Chuck) and finance staff was knowledgeable, courteous and overall very helpful (answered phone calls way off hours etc.). Unlike most other sellers we have encountered over our months long search, GATR listened, took care of the minuscule things/work that needed to be done on the truck and there was actually a great effort to prepare the truck for sale. Would buy here again and will recommend GATR. Don't usually review businesses but our experience here was so much better than dozens of other places, and just when we were about to give up on our search, that not writing one would be unfair. Thanks GATR/Chuck for getting us started on in our new venture.

These people don't know what they are doing. I went in to get a bracket fixed on my side faring. They came outside and looked at it and then claimed their system was down and they couldn't look up the part. Said they would call me when system came back up. This was 9 am. I checked back in at 11am. System still down. At 3 pm I came back inside. They were too busy to fix so I bought the parts to go to another shop. They sold me the wrong parts. So I wasted all day listening to lame excuses and b.s. to be sold the wrong parts. AVOID THESE PEOPLE. THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING

Slow, under staffed, and when promised parts would be ordered had to call four times and have them tell me they hadnt ordered them yet. Not ever able to give estimated times very well either. So three stars and thats probably being generous. If left to owner ops business only I believe they would be out of business in a short time.

Good grief! My thanks to everyone for their comments. I need my Mack worked on, but I definitely will keep going over to Des Moines to get it done. This place sounds terrible.

Overcharged, spent 45 min in a shop CHARGE $300 labor shop supplies fee and environmental fee, replace starter. Whats supplies?I I bout new starter. Whats environmental fee?Did you drained oil ?from a starter?People stay away from this place. THEY CHARGE $154 IN HOUR .IT IS BAD DESSISON TO GO THERE. BAD UNFAIR BUSSINESS

Not bad. Not sure how MACK parts is setup but seems to have trouble with the older models finding the correct parts. Otherwise good at putting in person vs phone person first
