We were traveling about 4 hours from home and our tire pressure light came on. One place gave us air but said they couldn t get us in to fix the nail as they were booked. We drive an hour and got to Cedar Rapids. I had called several places on the way to see if they could help us and everyone declined. Then we called this Firestone dealership. Then Yolanda answered the phone! She was so sweet and I explained the situation (first person to really listen) and she said come on in and we will take care of you! We got here and they had our vehicle in their shop within 20 minutes. It s our first wedding anniversary today and we have my sisters Celebration of life which is what brought us to Iowa. I can so grateful and appreciative for this excellence in service this dealership has showed us in addition to their compassion

I have came to this Firestone location several times before and had no issues. However, on my most recent visit my car was returned in not acceptable condition. I understand working on cars is not a clean job but I have never once had my car returned from service this dirty. Greasy hands prints all over the driver side door, oil spots on top of the hood, and dirt/grease left on various interior surfaces.The actual service work is fine, although $100 for a full synthetic oil change after a $10 coupon seems well above average for the area. Other local shops will do it for half the price and throw in a free tire rotation and not leave your car a greasy mess.Services: Wheel alignment, Oil change

Absolutely a joke. I called to schedule an appointment for an alignment at 11am. Showed up 10 mins early then at about 11:50am was informed that they won t be able to touch my car for another x amount of time. Instead of them being honest up front that it ll take some time they waited almost an hour past my appointment. I WILL NOT EVER suggest anyone to go to the 1st Ave location for Firestone and am not shocked as to why they cannot keep employees. I will be called corporate to make a complaint as well. Tires plus got me right in even though they are busy. FIRESTONE ON 1st AVE NEAR LINNDALE MALL IS A COMPLETE JOKE!!!!!!

I can't say enough about how great of a job they did - and the friendliness of the guys here. Dan and Kim patched up my tire after an unexpected puncture post-snowstorm. They fit me in in short notice and did an awesome job, and on top of it, really cared that I got out safely. Thank you again!

I took my car there for a tire change and alignment, the tires came out good and the service was decent. However, the alignment was not done the greatest. Fast forward 4 months I came in with a flat tire to get repaired. Long story short they ended up losing my tire and sent my mom all over town on a wild goose chase. In the end, they found my tire sitting in their shop.Now fast forward 6 months I ended up getting a nail in my rear tire. I also noticed that the front right tire was already getting bald. So I took the whole car in and asked them to repair the tire with a nail in it and also to rotate the tires, and check the alignment. The lady said okay and I asked how much for the rotation which she then said its free. So after the tire was repaired I went to get it and noticed the tires were never rotated. Rather than going back in I decided to do the rotation on my own as it is not very difficult. Unfortunately, it was because the lugnuts on one of the tires were on there so tight an impact drill could not get it off so I used a breaker bar and a lead pipe. I was not able to get it.fast forward 3 months, The tire is bald on the outside meaning the alignment was never done. So I took the tire into the shop and asked for them to fix it. The guy there told me the warranty would not cover it because it was an alignment issue. I told him they had aligned it but he then told me it needs to be aligned twice a year. So on 11/05/22 the tires were installed and aligned then on 9/01/23 they were supposed to be aligned and rotated but weren't. I then gave him the tire and he gave me the quote and told me there would be a new tire on there when I came back later.I then went home and my mom called and explained to them how I should have had the tires aligned on 11/05/22 and aligned and rotated on 9/02/23. The lady then tries to say that I never asked her to do any of that back on 9/02/23. She told my mom that she was not there and basically called me a liar. My mom then asks her for her name and she then hangs up.Later that day my mom went back in to pick up the tire they were supposed to repair and nothing had been done to it. The guy told her he did not know if I wanted the tire to be changed or just inspected which makes no sense, I told him it needed to be changed. He also told me he would change it.

I had the best service ever from this place but the ultimate rockstar is Dave! Not only was he kind and caring he made sure to make my wait for the service (1 hour) the best ever and he let me have control of the TV so I could watch my Steelers play! I recommend this place over any other around!

I'm upgrading this review to a 2 star which I will get to later.Oh boy where do I start... Pure disappointment. I drove from Guttenberg to run some errands and get my new truck tires before driving to Arizona on Monday. Randy offered their alignment service in addition to the tire replacement (I had no alignment issues to speak of but I thought with the new tires it was smart) and I decided that would be a good safety measure before a long road trip. I was the only customer in the store when I arrived. I left the truck and was told maybe as much as an hour and a half for the service.I ran a few more errands nearby and came back just before the hour and a half had elapsed. I looked out in the bay and found that two mechanics were still poking around the steering components underneath the truck. Randy ensured that the truck would be ready soon. Randy also expressed that he was hoping to close early.Finally the truck came out about another 30 minutes later. I paid and drove away. About 2 miles down the road I was noticing the truck pull to the right and that the steering wheel was off-center. I quickly called the store and talked to Randy and described the issue.Randy told me he was closing and had sent the mechanics home (less than 10 minutes had gone by since my departure). He told me he could fix it on Monday (3 days later) but I reminded him that not only would that mean I would have to drive an hour and a half each way to do that (on misaligned tires) but I was also scheduled to drive back to AZ on Monday which was the whole point of getting fresh tires and an alignment on Friday before my trip.Randy's best solution was that I could stop at any Firestone along the way to have it fixed...thanks Randy (not helpful).I called corporate customer service and filed a complaint. I was told the regional manager, Scott, would reach out to help with a solution. A couple of hours later, Randy called back and apologized and offered to credit the $200 back to my credit card. I explained that the entire situation really putse in a bind and does nothing to help me prepare for the road trip. I accepted the $200 and thanked Randy for the call back (this is why I've changed to a 2 star).It's Saturday morning now, I'm sitting at a Firestone location that's a little closer to home (55min drive). I tried to schedule a 10:00am appointment as it was the only opening in their online scheduling. A whole new story evolved but it's not related to this location. No call from Scott. No solution on a second call to customer service.Wish I never visited a Firestone in the first place, total regret...The photo shows how the steering wheel has to be turned in order to travel straight down the road. (I'm at a traffic stop not moving during the photo)

My car was shaking whenever i hit 50-60mph. They diagnosed and fixed it by clearing 80lbs of snow/ice from the rim and told me how to fix it myself in the future. The fix + an oil change was only $86 combined

Easily the best service I ve had. Had a flat tire and needed a replacement ASAP. The workers gave me multiple options at different price points. Despite being understaffed and bombarded by calls the front desk worker kept calm and collected and addressed each callers needs in a timely manner while also helping me. They had my service done in nearly 20 mins! Absolutely excellent customer service.

this place is one of the best auto shops ive ever gone to they go above and beyond to help u and make it afforable ive come in and not had the best of luck with cars and money but they have done what then can to make it work out for me and im so thankful to them for everything they have done for me

Got my truck towed in for a fix, didn't diagnose my car after an hour but guessed it would be a starter. Quoted me over $625 for a starter not including fees, diagnostics, or tax. Unbelievable. Starters are $180 brand new and it is not a labor heavy fix. I got my truck towed away again to get it fixed for a reasonable price elsewhere.There was a 1g jug of hand sanitizer in place of a coffee pot, no complementary snack or drink in the waiting area, just a soda machine with $2.75 mountain dews. Also no charging station nor any acceptable work spaces for guests waiting.2 stars earned only because staff were friendly and courteous. However the low rating overall is because those prices are absolutely unreal. Stop trying to screw customers in vulnerable positions charging astronomical pricing for simple jobs. Thank God I have another vehicle to drive in the meantime. Will 100% never return to this shop.

We stopped by because we were having car trouble on our cross country trip. On a Saturday afternoon with hardly any choice. They were kind enough to fit us in, got to our vehicle quickly, explained the issue and showed my husband how to keep an eye on it so we could still get home and get it to our mechanic. All this and they only charged for the diagnostic. We were so thankful they were willing to look at it last minute so we could get back on the road. Thank you for the great customer service!

I would not recommend going here at all. I went in to have my tire repaired due to a nail being in it. They told me they could not fix it and I needed a new tire. I took my tire to 5 Seasons tire where I normally go and they fixed it no problem. All it was was a small screw and it hadn't even punctured the tire. They are not honest here and are just looking for a sale. Do not go here. Go to 5 Seasons tire instead!

I always had easy time scheduling service and getting it done at Firestone. I've been a customer for, like, 100 years and not planning on changing so far. If there are make-specific items they are not able to service, they tell you upfront without jerking you around. I appreciate their honest and high quality service!

Stopped by on an emergent tire issue. They fit me in to a busy Sunday morning schedule. I now have 3 sets of Firestone tires on 3 vehicles. They have always been friendly and helpful.I will continue to use them.Service: TiresService: Tires

After buying 4 tires I was told I needed an alignment. This was true. Yet then I was told on the rear brakes I needed rotors and pads and brake fluid replacement for $800. Plus they docked me $ 100 discount. On the tires because it was 1 day past. Bottom line. Pulled it apart myself. Rotors were within limits and did it for 60. They have done this to me over the years. 25 year plus customer. I like the tires. Yet the after sale. Please be real. All the while a clerk was dealing with a credit card theft while she was working. Please the product is awesome. Deal with that on your own time

Have happily relied on these guys for years, but they must be suffering from staffing shortages like everyone else. Had trouble with a tire on the teenagers car and ended up purchasing 3 new tires and got an oil change. Not unhappy with the price or the service overall but communication seemed to a bit of a struggle the last few times we were in.

I scheduled for an oil change and to top of the power steering for an appointment at 5 PM. The store website says open till 7 PM so I figured that would give them plenty of time to do the work up. However, I got an email almost immediately that they cancelled my appointment. I then got a call but wasn't sure who it was from as they didn't leave a message. I found the number was for this store and asked about the appointment. They said that the store closes at 4 PM now and won't be taking the appointment. I asked why the online booking shows 7 PM and the gentleman answering the phone didn't sound like he cared and just gave me a date of 3/26 to reschedule. I told him that's WAY too far for what I need done and asked about anything else. He said that was the only date available so I cancelled. I've tried to book this appointment at this store and the store on 10th Street and both experiences have been terrible. It feels like no one wants the business or to work close to closing time (I get it but when you take appointments online you should keep them).I'll be going to Jiffy Lube instead who could get me in today.

Firestone at LinnDale Mall is a great place to keep your car maintained. Service is fast and efficient. Pricing is competitive. Employees are knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Whatever service you are having, check to see if there is a coupon available before paying your bill.

Firestone is a hit or miss, depending on what you want done.They can sometimes deliver on the hardest critical jobs.Then there are times where they lie to you about changing your oil.

We had an emergency braking issue come up with our car while on our way home to Kansas City. I called Firestone and they shared with me that they were booked for the whole day, but after I explained our situation, the staff person said to bring it on over and they would take a look at no charge. We got the car to their shop, and they re-arranged their Sunday schedule to help my wife and I try to get back on the road. As an aside, their Sunday hours are a great offering, and were a blessing for us.After the initial fix, a new major braking problem came to light. They assigned two mechanics to our car that late afternoon, and these guys worked their tails off for at least two hours past the posted closing time to try to find a workable solution. In the end, the car had to be kept overnight, but I was thankful that their team tried their best.The next morning I came in and spoke with the manager. He shared with me that his staff had continued to work on our car even after we left(!), and that they would get things fixed for us that morning so we could head home. True to his word, a short time later our car was ready for pickup.I have never experienced this kind of above and beyond customer service from an auto shop before. What was even more amazing is that they did not charge us for all the overtime labor we saw them put in. They genuinely wanted to help us out.

I come here almost exclusively for my car maintenance or repairs. Their team is honest, hardworking, and prompt. I've never been treated less than stellar here. They're also really straightforward and don't try to oversell you on services or products. Booking online is easy, and my appointment is always met on time.

Went in for an alignment checkup. Got in and out of there just over an hour. Wi-Fi, coffee and a restroom.They should have taken the mud covered, paper floor mat after they were done.
