I was fortunate enough to have the master himself (Mike the owner) fab pipe on my 1978 Ford F-150. This truck has been in my family since 1988 and has always been to Denny's for custom exhaust work. The 16th Ave location treats you like family, and the quality is second to none! Mike, Shelby, and Travis, thanks for everything!-Johnny

This place is awesome CR! I m super impressed. Went here to get my muffler pipe welded. Found out I also had a hole in my muffler. Took an hour and cost me $206.00. Now my 2006 Toyota Camry doesn t sound like a jet plane trying to take off thanks so much guys! You are truly the best! Appreciate you so much!

I always get amazing service at Denny s. A friend recommended and I am thankful every time I need my vehicle taken care of. They are fair, up front and honest on pricing and what they can do for you. They have done brake and front end work in addition to basic stuff like changing a headlight bulb and oil changes. Always seems to be reasonable pricing so I don t feel like I am getting taken advantage of. I found out after I started going there that Denny s is where my grandpa took his truck forever ! Best recommendation ever. In addition to my friend :)

Every other shop I called either told me it was two weeks out to even get my car in or flat out refused to even touch it due to the specific repair I needed. My boss told me Dennys is where he takes his dodge truck for most things. Dennys got my ricer in next day. While working on it they discovered the cause of an additional idling issue I d been battling for the past 11 months that I hadn t even mentioned. The throttle body had been busted for some time, only able to open 62% at WOT. They were able to get me an OEM replacement within the week despite it being hard to come by. It was gonna take TWO WEEKS to even get my car into a different shop. Dropped my car off at Dennys Wednesday and by Monday morning they had a laundry list of things fixed for a great price. Big thanks to Shelby for fixing what I brought the car in for and big thanks to Scooter for discovering the cause of the idling issue. Much more responsive throttle response and am now able to reach higher RPM, coming back for sure next time I ruin my car while working on it. Also, the original building was destroyed in the Derecho so everything in the shop is brand new and pristine, a great shop all around.

Excellent service. As another single woman guys in shop are great for help and price. They have changed oil in my vehicle several times. I don t like taking my vehicle any where else. Guy tried to high ball me on replacing the passenger side manifold on my 03' F150. $50 part, $150 an hour labor.....you shouldn't quote jobs like that to folks like me who do this for a living ...I could just smell the greed. Apparently you really didn't want the work, so I'll just do it myself jerk!

Took my truck here for A/c repair. Charged $1200 for a compressor, took it home and blew warm air, took it back for another day at the shop, charged another $200 for ac lines, took it home... still blew warm air, took it back a third time they kept it for 3 days, I picked it up, charged another $200. It still is not fixed! I will be reporting these guys to the better business bureau. I absolutely feel like I have been scammed. Do not take your vehicles to this place.

Im a single woman and had no one else to help me put my headlight in I even asked the people that worked at the place where I bought the bulb if they would help me and they would not so I went to denny's automotive in they help me and matter of minutes just took my car right input my head bulb in it only cost me $12 and I appreciate that so very much very nice people and I'm going to be taking my car there from now on

Shelby the manager was awesome. In the same day tthey fixed my windshield wiper and explained to me what happened with the arm and the nuts that came off. His staff Took their time and got all the ice after the freezing rain wiped off and completely uncovered and open my windshield for me! I would have been satisfied with a quick and easy fix but the gentleman definitely went above and beyond customer service

The shop is very clean and nice. Staff is awesome. Thought I had an issue with my muffler, they were honest and didn't sell me something I didn't need. I appreciate their help

I needed a new exhaust, muffler and tailpipe. I do not know much about car repair, and how much things should cost, so I did a google search to see what I should expect. I was pleasantly surprised when they gave me an estimate that was on the low end of what I researched. I am always nervous that repair places will overcharge, so I was very happy with the result. Repairs were done fast, and my truck is as quiet as it has ever been. I would definitely recommend Denny's for exhaust work, and would trust their other work as well. Thank you Denny's.

I call shops all around town, and Shelby, at Denny's, always gets me the best deal and gets me in, fast. The staff are knowledgeable, and they show and explain to me, what is wrong, very clearly. They've been my first choice for auto repair, for years. I'm glad to have a mechanic that seems trustworthy. Thanks so much!

What a great friendly environment. They serviced my Lincoln MKZ today and fixed the brakes. They are affordable and answer all your questions. They don t sugarcoat things which is also great. My aunt and uncle referred me to them and I would also highly recommend their service. I reside in Coralville but work in Cedar Rapids. They were able to have it done by the time I got off work. Shelby was great and so were the other staff. They made me feel comfortable with fixing my issue.

I am just so amazed!!!!! I've literally had bad luck with the last 2 shops I've been to, even lost a whole tire and rim because the shop forgot to tighten my lug nuts. But not only did Dennys give me a FREE diagnostic which some shops have gone to charging and some even a $100, that reason alone MADE ME SPEND MY MONEY THERE. they were very knowledgeable and fixed my problem. And also, told me future problems I might have. I WILL BE RETURNING AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I had front brake pads and rotors replaced on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma pickup in July of 2017. It cost me $360. Now in May of 2020 I need new rotors. The brake pads and rotors only have 17,000 miles on them. Now it's going to cost me another $300 because the rotors are only warranted for 1 year. The brake pads have a lifetime warranty. What kind of cheap parts are these people using? Brake rotors should last more than 17,000 miles. They screwed me once!! They won't get a second chance!!I have been doing business with Denny's for over 30 years and always been satisfied with their parts and service until now.

I've gone to Denny's not only for oil changes, but to have my vehicle inspected, and to do tire change-outs. Hands down great guys to work with. They always take the time to explain what they're doing and why they're doing it, as well as the pricing involved. They also won't do things without asking ahead of time.

The only exhaust shop in Cedar Rapids I'll go to. They not only do the best work, but they also have the best prices in town. I will never make the mistake of going to Pro Muffler again!

Told me a vehicle I took in needed a transmission, without even diagnosing it. Told me it would cost $4000. Transmission turns out to be completely fine. How could a repair shop misdiagnose something like this? Wouldn t recommend to ANYONE!

I have been goning here for 14 or 15 years. Until I found Denny's, I always felt like I needed to get two estimates, just to be sure they were honest. Denny's has always treated me well. Once they made an error with an oil change that caused my husband's car to run out of oil. They payed to have it towed, corrected the problem, and then monitored the car for several months to make sure there was no lasting damage. They have taken care of probably 10 older model cars for us - always keeping them running until we would inevitably hit a deer!
