Brought my truck here for an issue with shifting that I tried to fix myself but was unable.They got me in quick, called me shortly after opening and had my truck back to me within a few hours with a new shifter put in for about 270 and they even put back the pieces I had taken off myself and I didn't even ask them to.My truck feels brand new. Good customer service, will be back for sure

So I need my truck with 2 out of 4 catylitic converters bad. Love theKing expedition, driving it into ground, as it'll never sell. Needed trans hoses replaced badly... Logan is a rock star. Mike was awesome as well. I need king to just get to medical treatments daily. So! They are backed up. He didnt put me ahead of anyone. B4 Thanksgiving I dropped it. He would just work on it in between scheduled appts. I just got it Tuesday! That's integrity kid. Dont lose that! Thanks C.R. Transmission

Brought my car in today in a cloud of anxiety. It was acting funny and the check engine light was on with a message that said "service transmission now." Like everybody on the planet, I rely on my car get me to work and everywhere else. And I know transmissions are not cheap.After calling some auto shops around town, I was starting to get disheartened because people were telling me it would be a 4-week wait before they could even look at it, or that they didn't do transmissions at all.Cedar Rapids Transmissions told me they could look at it in one week. That day is today. I dropped the car off in the morning, and then I got the call that there was a small part that had failed called the transmission control module. He said it would take at least three weeks to even get the part in. I started to panic a little bit, wondering how I could possibly bum rides from my friends and family for another 3 weeks.But then he told me there is an open recall on that part that has been extended. So if you take it to the dealership, they will fix it for free.He didn't have to tell me that. I know that in a perfect world he did exactly what an honest professional should do. But the world is not perfect, and he could have easily made money on that repair instead of telling me how to get it fixed for free. Scratched my truck, refused to acknowledge it and wont respond to emails or calls. Very disrespectful. If you want someone to destroy your stuff, head here. On top of that, they didnt listen to the reason I brought the truck in the first place. I have to file a police report because these guys didnt respect my property. Any respectable business will respond to emails or calls, not ignore you. Cant say it didnt happen, huge on the drivers side door. Luckily for me I have pictures before it went there. See em in court

Did a good job. Prices similar to other places but they had the rebuilt transmission on had which saved alot of time. In and out in 8 hrs.

Excellent service. Got me in as quickly as their schedule allowed and finished the work in a timely manner. Communication was excellent the whole time they had my car. Fair prices. Would definitely take any of my cars there again if I needed to.

Great shop, super people. They are really busy all the time and do a ton of work. But they are careful and take their time to be sure everything is right.In full disclosure- they didn t work on my car, but what I said is true regardless.

These guys are honest, kind, and efficient. They worked quickly and charged fairly. They also gave me a few references for other trustworthy mechanics in my area for another problem my car had. A lot of larger more commercial garages have a habit of making me feel like just a number, but these guys were very welcoming and helped me out of a tight spot. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I had a great experience with this company. They were very honest in the information that they gave me, which allowed me to upgrade some of the parts in my transmission to make it more suitable for towing. I ve worked with other companies before with transmissions work, none of gone to that depth with their explanation and their price was over $1000 cheaper!

Had a amazing experience for our first visit. Had a new clutch put into our SUV. The service was great. The price was way lower than expected or compared to a few other places we had give us a estimate. Will deffintly be coming back here for all our transmission work done.

Wow, I was super impressed with CR Transmissions. I initially had no idea what to expect when dealing with them. It's a "throwback" shop, so it's not the fanciest or cleanest place in the world, but the people there are honest and trustworthy, and that's more much more valuable. It's been a month later after needing my transmission replaced and I've had no issues. They had similar transmissions to mine already prepped and ready to go, which sped things up, rather than taking mine apart and fixing that specific one. I was totally fine with that. Sometimes if I called I would get their voicemail, but they were prompt at calling me back. Their price was the most reasonable around. They additionally helped me diagnose an AC issue as well, which led to some $ savings as well. They definitely exceeded my expectations and I'm actually more than happy to give them a good review and hopefully help them out in return.

Didn't exactly go here I just made a call regarding an issue I was having with my vehicle had questions. They were very professional and kind and directed me to another great spot and if I wasn't able to get the fix I needed they said to come on in greatly appreciated for the kindness

They have proven themselves to be a good and trusted partner in caring for our cars and trucks. They have always given us a very honest diagnosis, even when it meant a battery and not transmission at all:-) The repairs have been fairly priced and very timely

They began transmission repair without consulting me ($2000). After repair I had to take it back as it still had the same issue. Did it even need a transmission? The worst autoservice experience and rudest people I have ever dealt with!!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

If you need transmission work done, u recommend these folks here. They'll treat you right, they'll give you an honest quote, and tell you what was wrong with the car. Good work at a fair price.

Honest and fair! I went to CR Transmission after a couple of referrals from other people in the automotive repair business. I've worked on everything from lawn mowers to jet aircraft so no pulling-the-wool over my eyes when it comes to repair work. That experience makes me smart enough to know what to leave to the specialists. They diagnosed my problem, explained what they found and offered two plans for repair. One would fix my problem but would eventually require a rebuild. The second was to go ahead and rebuild now and save the cost of fixing it twice. Even though it was more now, I went with the rebuild. My car runs great now and I have the comfort of knowing my transmission will last a long time. Thanks Greg!

I went to another shop in town needing a clutch. I was told the transmission was bad. They didn't want to work on it. I took it to Cedar Rapids Transmission. They weren't afraid to dig into it and verify what I already knew. It was fine. They sealed it up so I could put it back in. They are honest and fair.

Work was done quickly, it was done well, and with a fair price! Can't recommend these guys enough!
