I have a very old yet dependable Mercury van.The side panels were coming unglued and bowing out considerably. I inquired at my dealership yet they refused to repair my door panels. So, I drove my Mercury Van to my local Cedar Rapids Auto Zone and spoke to ROY! Roy gave me excellent speedy, advice on the correct product, and informative advice explaining in detail how to clean, and apply and secure my exterior door panels. It took approximately 20 minutes and my door panels look awesome and secure! Not to mention I have the satisfaction of fixing it myself saving money!! But hanks Roy, you re an awesome employee!

Best experience I have ever had with an auto parts store. My car started to idle rough and the check engine light came on. Jay came out and ran a diagnostic for the check engine light. After running the codes, Jay was able to use past experience with my make and model to recommend the most common fix.Afterwards, Jay and Jordan came out to listen to my car idle and help better diagnose the issue. After hearing a loud airflow noise, they were able to pinpoint the issue to a melted hose coupler. Jordan was able to easily replace the coupler and the idling was fixed.The two of them went above and beyond and likely saved me hundreds of dollars from a repair shop with what was a simple fix. The two of them are outstanding employees and I recommend this store to all. They have earned a customer for life and I want to thank the two of them for putting me back on the road.

I purchased a battery the other day and was planning to change it on my own but was hesitant. Thankfully Auto zone will replace and take your old battery for free! I had the pleasure of working with Roy and he was outstanding! I told him that I wanted to watch and learn while he was changing it and he was more than happy to educate me throughout the process. Thanks again Roy!

Two people were outstanding at this store which I think should be noticed for their excellent service and knowledge when it comes to helping to get the right parts, diagnosis and "how to" and change my Ford Siesta into a Ford Fiesta. The last couple of issues both Kelly (mgr) and Roy have saved me expensive labor costs not to mention higher parts charges from a dealer etc. They were able to read the engine check codes from my car and sell the exact parts needed. Both were able to give me honest and clear replies to all my questions. Prior to this purchase they did the same quality service when I needed a coil for one of the plugs. Thanks to you for having great and outstanding employees to help get the job done. It is my favorite Autozone and will return again and again when I need parts and qualified help. Thank you to Shelly and David. They were a god send. After having stroke level high blood pressure, not feeling good, and my car suddenly going out on the expressway with me having to walk with two young kids home I was able to jump start my car and get it running again. I made it to Auto Zone close to closing time, Shelly and David worked together and got my battery switched out and this was after having to figure out and locate my battery. I cannot thank them enough. Thank you from a very stressed out mom who also had the first day of school the next day. They took care of me and made sure to get me rolling again. I am so grateful!

I like auto zone a lot.I get all my parts from them for all my autos.The only thing I do not like is the warrenty on thier batteries.My battery went bad about 4 days before warrenty ran out.Trade for new battery. Sticker said 1/23 . Had new battery for roughly 4 months. New battery went bad. Did not know that theold warrenty on old battery transfer. to new battery. So i only had a 4 day warrenty

5 years ago this place was great. I can now only give it 2 stars. They usually have the parts I need but the customer service is terrible. I went in to exchange a part, the manager was busy and told me "sorry, you are out of luck"

Roy, Jay and Becky were extremely helpful and I can t thank them enough! Had an important interview the next day and my car had a bad alternator and battery as-well but Roy was adamant in finding a solution for me and Jay was very present and helped through out the process of the change of my battery. Becky cool, calm and collected really pulled through for me. I m forever grateful to all 3 of them and autozone. First car issue and autozone pulled through. I m so lucky!

In the last two days I've been into this AutoZone, once to check the charge on my alternator and battery because I thought that's why my car wasn't starting. Roy was prompt, courteous and professional. He checked my alternator, battery and my starter, after reassuring me that he had a jump pack in case it wouldn't start after turning it off.Then this morning my check engine light came on so I took it back to AutoZone, hoping Roy was working and sure enough he was! He was able to run the code reader, turns out I have a bad sensor. Roy printed out the diagnostic sheet and gave me a copy so if I took it in I wouldn't have to pay for diagnostics. Then he looked up the part and showed me the price and informed me that their AutoZone didn't have it but the other one's in town did.By far the best service I have received from AutoZone. Roy is knowledgeable, friendly and is willing to go above and beyond. From now on I will always ask for Roy.

Have always had good experiences but this recent one went above and beyond. I pulled up to the shop with two low tires, that I couldn't get to fill up at the gas station air pumps, and I was panicking.Roy checked them both out, troubleshooted a few things, helped me inflate them with a small pump, and taught me more about the upkeep and maintenance of them and the rest of my vehicle, all with a smile! He's my hero!

Roy is the best employee ever!! He has fantastic customer service and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and ensure I had what I needed. He even helped me apply the fix I needed to my car. I will definitely come back to this location when needed and hope to run into Roy while I'm there!

My daughter and I exchanged a part for her car tonight. Neither one of us knows anything about cars but Tyler was great. He looked at our pictures of the broken part still down in her engine and pictures of a part we found on line that we thought it could be. He got right on the computer to help us figure it all out. Not once did he make us feel like an inconvenience. He was so helpful. Thank you so much, Tyler!!

Needed to replace my battery a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with Roy who kept me laughing and made the process so quick and easy. He definitely made the super frustrating experience of having your car die multiple times much better to deal with - great customer service and overall experience for what could have been a very stressful one.

EXTREMELY helpful. It s not everyday where you meet genuine people willing to help you out of the good of their heart but Shelby and Dave went out of there way to help me and ensure that I was safe! When selling back brakes please suggest checking if you need a disc compression tool or additional hex bits to remove the rotor should it need to be replaced. This should be prompted when selling the parts or having experienced cashiers.............. The two ladies I delt with had no idea. One even got rude on the phone when I talked about what I needed for my back end brake job. She thought I didnt know the difference between a rotor and a caliper. Come on dont be a woman and try to mansplain something to me. Also o rielys does rotor resurfacing. Should offer that too.

I came to this location after purchasing a steering wheel cover at another location on 16th sw after they refused to help me put on my cover i had just purchased. I came to this location and an employee named Tyler was awesome and was willing to help me and i didn't even buy it from this store. The store manager came out and helped as well. The lady store manager and tyler went above and beyond to help me. I will come to this autozone from now on.

Usually has what I m looking for. Employees sometimes come off as slightly unknowledgeable about some things - not providing me with a lot of confidence in their advice, but they end up being correct so they are my parts store of choice.

Good customer service. We brought a dead battery back for warranty replacement. But it was not from there. The clerk looked up where that battery actually came from for us. So nice of her!

No matter who's working when I show up I always receive excellent customer service. They may not have the part you need all the time, which is why I couldn't give 5 stars, but they will answer any question you throw at them

Stopped in because my headlight was out. I got fast, friendly service from the gentleman behind the counter. After I bought the new bulbs, he helped me install them too, which waa a relief as I am not mechanically inclined. They just got my repeat business. :)The store was well laid out, items were easy to find, the associate was awesome and the place was clean. All in all, top notch.
