Can't thank ATS crew enough for their hard work and honest approach to car services. We've been using ATS for a few years now and we always receive out standing service. Communication is always top notch and the detailed inspection report with pictures lets you know exactly what is going on with your vehicle. 10/10. Would recommend this shop to anyone.Tow service was also 10/10. The driver was quick and knowledgeable. Answered any question I had.Thanks, ATS!

Wonderful people and businessMy 2008 Tundra was towed to them on a SundayFirst time customer but friends had given them great reviews.By Monday afternoon we had spoken with them in great detail..complete inspection was done and emailed to us so we could decide how we wanted to move forwardHad my truck back in 3 daysFair pricing and and honest work..we so appreciated themTook it in yesterday for service because back up lights not workingGot it back today..fixed..no chargeThis is how you run a great businessThank you

AAA sent Michael out to help tow our car that had some complications, and he went above and beyond to do what he had to do to get our car home.He gave great customer service & was very professional and represented your company well. He cared anout our car making it home by whatever s mean necessary and we needed that.So thank you to ATS & to Michael. We will definitely be recommending you all to friends, family, and Michael definitely exceeded the standards of all the competitors in town. If I could give less than one star I would. I don't know the name of the driver but he showed up on a roadside assistance call for a tow due to flat tire and refused to tow it because the battery was dead. Forced me to file a 2nd request on my roadside app for him to come back out and Jumpstart it. I called to ask why he couldn't have just Jumpstart it on the 1st call, he said it's not how it's done. I asked if he could please tow it after he jumps it on this 2nd call. He said no and that I have to make a THIRD request through my roadside app for him to come back to tow it.Having had to much frustration at that point I started to cry and asked why I have to waste 3 roadside calls in one day risking losing my coverage just to get one issue handled. He said it's the way it's set up and I would definitely have to call a third time IF he was able to get it jump started this time... I said "good luck" and ended the call in tears.He told the person there after, jumping my vehicle, that I needed to call another company because he would not come out for a third call after how I spoke to him.Apparently employees at this business consider a crying woman asking why they won't help as unacceptable and causes them to refuse to help at all.I said nothing rude to this man, I only cried and said I don't understand why he couldn't have just tried to work with me to make it easier so I didn't lose my coverage.Some of the worst service I have EVER experienced.

The last three times I have had to call AAA to dispatch a driver to pick up my vehicle from god-knows-wherever at whatever given time it was, rain snow or shine, an ATS Automotive driver was there.. at least 10 minutes before they said they would be. Tonight, no longer than 15 minutes after the phone call Ryker showed up and before I knew it I had keys in hand. Would recommend their towing/unlocking service to anyone. A few years ago, our family mechanic retired. I had read good things about ATS Automotive online, so I decided to take my vehicle there since it was only a few miles from my house.Stephen, Andrew, Jen, and the whole team have been great to me. From taking care of our old beater truck to advising on a purchase of a new vehicle to routine auto care, I've been very happy with their service and pricing. I ended up convincing my husband he didn't need to drive 30 miles to his old mechanic and could just start taking his vehicle to ATS. He has been happy with the switch, too!I've used ATS's towing services a few times over the years - even before I was a repair service customer. Most recently, my minivan was having engine troubles out near Hiawatha. Through my AAA service, Keegan and Zach made a great team to communicate, pickup, and tow my vehicle back to the shop where the mechanics could work on it. It was a huge relief when Keegan called about my AAA service request because I didn't really want any other local tow companies towing my van. Also, kudos to Zach for putting up with my sass and shenanigans at 9:30pm on a busy Monday night.I cannot speak highly enough of this crew! They are very valuable to my family, and I would highly recommend their services to others.Services: Transmission, Battery service, Tires, Electrical, Tire rotations, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Car towing, Wiper blade installation, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

Had mechanical trouble with our truck in Iowa City, an hour away from our home, and needed a tow. Went through our insurance company and was told by my insurance agent that most tow companies don t like dealing with insurance and I might have problems. He was soooo wrong! Talked to Chris at ATS on the phone and was reassured they would be there within 45 minutes and were more than happy to tow it to our mechanic in Fairfield-65 miles away! He said they try to treat their customers like family and do their best to help out in a difficult situation! Driver, Alex, was there in a half hour and got our truck delivered right away!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ATS AUTOMOTIVE! They were professional, kind and EXTREMELY timely! Things couldn t have gone any better! THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP! We will DEFINITELY be using this company again if needed and will recommend them to EVERYONE!!!!Service: Car towing

If I could give this towing service a million stars, I would! My vehicle had a major mechanical malfunction just north of Iowa City after leaving UIHC yesterday on I-380. My husband searched towing services in CR on the cell phone and called ATS because of the high ratings. Tow truck driver, Mason, came to our rescue within minutes and never flinched about having to take my pickup, myself and my husband approx 60 miles farther north to our home. He made a very stressful situation much easier with his professionalism and friendly demeanor :). Thank you to the whole team for your awesome customer service!Service: Car towing

I highly recommend ATS Automotive!!! I took my car there to get it inspected after sitting for a while and we discovered it was no longer safe to drive and beyond the point of repair. Stephen went above and beyond to be empathetic to our situation, and clear about what was happening. He patiently answered my questions, and even showed me pictures so I understood fully. Stephen seems to have found the perfect balance of professional and personable, which made our stressful situation much more bearable.We took my new car there for a used car inspection, discovered it needed a new brake light, ATS got it replaced right away, and I am again super grateful!!!I am not taking my car anywhere else, and I am going to tell all my friends to take their vehicles to this shop!!!Thank you, Stephen and ATS team, you all are awesome!!! :-)

My wife and kiddos were stranded at the grocery store with a van that wouldn t start in freezing cold temperatures. I show up to tag in and can t get the van to start. Allen from ATS shows up through AAA roadside and got the van running in no time. He was FANTASTIC. He was quick, kind, and professional and most importantly helped me get on my way and then moved onto the next lucky customer!Service: Battery

My wife's car slid into the ditch due to the ice on the road. I called 4 towing service companies, and they all said they couldn't get there before the mid-afternoon (this happened around 9:45 AM). I reached ATS and was told they could be there in about 30 minutes. That's almost exactly how long it took their driver, Zach, to get there. Zach was professional and efficient and had her car out of the ditch in 15 minutes. Excellent service!

I had a bad Christmas eve till you guys saved the day. AAA told me no one was coming after waiting 2 hrs for someone to come because of the previous weather. Thank goodness for ats they contacted me and came and helped me. I have three kids and still needed things for Christmas. I came out to find one fully flat tire and three partially flat.

Honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable, professional. The ATS team is outstanding. This is a different kind of automotive service experience-- one that feels like family. Owners Jennifer and Andrew are wonderful, hard-working people who genuinely care about their customers' experience and safety. As someone who is not a 'car person' in the technical sense, the ATS team always takes time to explain diagnosis items with me in a manner that is easy to understand. 5 stars for ATS!

After ATS replaced the struts and performed alignment on time at a lower cost than other bids, my wife stopped by ATS a few days later to retorque wheels and ask questions about the minivan. She expected to wait - and could not believe that Steven assisted her as soon as she arrived listening to her patiently and answering all of her questions in detail. You would expect such a treatment from a travel company trying to sell you an expensive vacation, not from a car guy!Service: Steering & suspension repair

I think I've written ~3 reviews in the history of the internet, but man these people deserve 5 stars. I have AAA and after an unfortunate instance of operator error, my new vehicle wouldn't start this morning (I left the lights on overnight--super smart). After unsuccessfully trying to jump it after we pushed it out into the street, I called AAA and they told me they weren't sure when someone could be out to assist me, but that they'd put my request in. The incredibly friendly and knowledgeable man from ATS called me almost immediately and let me know he'd be here in about 10 minutes. He came, tried the same things we'd been trying plus some other things, taught us a few tricks about my model of vehicle, and then, magically, on a last-ditch effort, made it start again. I am so incredibly thankful and he was so nice and so prompt! Hopefully I never need his services again, but if I do ever call AAA in the area again--I hope they send this guy!Service: Battery service

On a Sunday afternoon, my vehicle decided to malfunction in the parking lot of a Menards. My Ford Edge tried to tell me that the transmission was not in park. After a few message exchanges with the owner [Jennifer], had my Ford towed to their shop. The next morning, Stephen called me to clarify what was wrong. Fortunately through the miracles of Automotive repair, my ride decided it was working just fine! Insert joke about vehicles not working at home but working fine at the service shop. That being said, I asked Stephen to keep it a bit longer and I granted them permission to drive it around in an effort to duplicate the issue. They weren't able to duplicate the issue. Well, I needed an oil change so I asked him if they could fit one in. I wasn't in need of my vehicle right away so I stopped by the shop the following day. Stephen greeted me on my way in and said that they went ahead and ran a diagnostics test on my vehicle at no charge! He pointed out a few areas on my ride that I'll want to keep tabs on and didn't feel pressured in any way! In fact, I left the shop wondering why I haven't used ATS for all my vehicle needs in the past! Great service and even though my story was a bit anti-climatic, I found a service shop that I'll be doing business with again in the future!

I got a flat tire at 1:30 in the morning driving home from work. I called AAA and they said they would have a tow available in an hour and a half. 3 a.m. rolls around and nothing. I give them a call back and they tell me that it'll be another hour. 15 minutes goes by, and I get a call from Max, letting me know he would be there in about 10-15 minutes. I figured, that's nice, it'll be nice to finally go home. But Max had other plans, he wanted to make sure everything was figured out. First off, he asked me if had been waiting long. I told him that it had almost been 2 hours and he said he felt so bad for that that he was willing to give me a ride home. Next, he made the suggestion to have my car dropped off at a tire place in town to make sure I can get new tires asap. Max was a very fun person to talk to, we had some great conversations.Maxwell Roethlisberger, thank you for making my day better, it honestly made my day. Keep up the great work, man. You really saved me tonight!

Trustworthy, dependable, honest, and knowledgeable...ATS has taken care of all my vehicles From routine maintenance, oil changes, or major repairs. I was in the market for a used car and they checked my choices out before I made the actual purchase and I am so glad I asked them to or I probably would have selected the lemon. They steered me in the right direction to select a safe reliable car. I recommend them to everyone.

The driver did an awesome job getting my sons low riding car onto the tow truck without any issues. The car was nicely secured and he took could care of doing so. He definitely knew what he was doing. He was there when expected and did an amazing job!!

We ended up with a flat tire on Christmas Day, we called Triple A and they dispatched ATS Automotive to come and put on the spare. We still have 5 plus hours of travel to go today so we asked if they could fix the tire so we wouldn't have to drive home on a spare. Adam was able to to get the tire fixed on Christmas Day even though the shop was closed and his employees were off. We were then able to safely travel the rest of the day. It is good to know that there are good people in this world that will go above and beyond to help others! Thank you Adam and ATS Automotive! I highly recommend them for your automotive needs!

I had the worst experience with ATS ,Aaa called them to give me a Tow and told me they would be there with in a hr.We were flagged hot cause we broke down on C ST and 76 Ave sw 1 1x2 hrs late still no Tow truck so I called AAA and he had to call his boss to find out were they were.TAEJEAN and they couldn't figure out were the driver was. AAA said he would call his boss and their company again .Hopefully they will show soon .After 2 hours I called AAA again and got a women this time and I asked her to cancel ATS and get me someone new that can pick up our truck and get there fast and boy they called Pro Tow they are so reliable. I have taken all my vehicles to be services at ATS and they have always done a great job. They look over my vehicle every time and give me a report on the status of it. I have never felt like they are taking advantage of me especially being a woman. I referred a friend of mine to have a used car inspection performed on a car she was thinking of buying and they were straight with her about how much work and cost would need to be done on it. They probably saved her from buying a lemon!! I will definitely be returning and sending everyone I know to ATS Automotive!

ATS Automotive has responded to a few of my AAA roadside assistance calls lately. This last one was a flat tire from road construction. These guys are quick and professional. I could have done it myself, but it would have taken me 2 hours to accomplish what they did in 10 minutes. I even called one night when my daughter's CV joint broke it was cold, snowing, and at 2 am. They were quick and got us towed by the time our ride showed up.

ATS towed my EXTREMELY low Porsche 911 Turbo and did an amazing job! They took their time and made sure my car was loaded and unloaded perfectly. Couldn t recommend these guys more!

Absolutely the best service in Cedar Rapids and good prices. Very thorough and I appreciated having photos taken of needed repairs and a tech who knew enough to explain to me what needed doing. We had an automobile that threw a shoe (and wheel) all the way into a farmer's field about 4 miles west of C Rap in February 2013. The weather was freaky and rapidly changing, but we contacted a tow service, and they towed that car to ATS Automotive! While there, both my wife and I were treated cordially, issues with the 'ole bus' were explained to us, and they would occasionally let us know how much longer they expected to be. When they were all done, we settled up promptly and pretty soon were on our way home. Also, I might add that this occurred at night. I don't remember what their hours were that evening, but it was well past sundown, and as I said before, the weather was turning worse in a hurry. In summing up our experience, I could not imagine having any finer service or finer young men help us out as did those gentlemen that evening. I'm sorry I don't remember their names, or I would post them on here, but they know who they are, I'm sure! I and my wife rate them absolutely first class!!! And we rate ATS Automotive a very fine, first class establishment! Thanks all of you there, for letting me speak out for you!!
