I ve been waiting to give as honest of a review as possible. So here goes Drove two hours to look at a particular vehicle, saw that it had rust so decided not to buy it. I was shown a different vehicle in the same price range although the sticker price said $57something and the purchase price ended up $59something. I m not sure why I didn t say anything at the time, but the salesman was very talkative.. friendly, but talkative and the conversation got way off track. I bought the alternate car and feel I got a fair trade in on mine.Call the next day to ask if I could bring the car back as I didn t know anything about BMWs other than they look good. Said I wanted to buy the first vehicle instead, but one of the partners was not OK with that. Drove the car about a week, and the service engine light came on, found out that was because of emissions codes..was this something new or had the code been cleared prior to being put out for sale? I don t know. A week later the water pump went out. They did tow the vehicle and paid for that and reluctantly paid for the repair. I was asked to go in half, but after renting a vehicle for over a week I didn t have the money. Got it back, had it checked over by my mechanic, and told it had an oil leak and radiator leak. Fast forward to a week ago, I sold the car and just received word that the starter went out. I feel bad for the guy who got it but secretly thankful I got rid of it. I m not a mechanic so I can t say whether any of these issues would have been detected in their pre-sale check of the vehicle. I assume there was one. The salesman got me through the first couple weeks of owning the car as he felt bad that I couldn t bring it back and promised I could call him with any problems. I m not sure about the quality of the vehicle or if I was just unlucky with my purchase.

bad customer service. I went there to look at the 05 chevy colorado they currently have listed for 5988$. took my mechanic of 30 years and a Veteran there who confirmed that it's misfiring on 2 cylinders and valve cover leaking. Rod did not want to hear that and told us he (Rob) wasn't any mechanic and maybe it wasn't the car for us that its tax time somebody will buy it. Rob response to valve cover leaking was that it wasn't leaking on the ground so its okay. Anyone looking at this pickup know it's way over book value and you will be spending at least $300+ in parts and labor.

This is the worst Car dealership, I have ever visited in my entire existence. The salesman was completely unprofessional and very unknowledgeable. They knew they were selling a POS and there was even parts inside of the vehicle. I was cussed at told to eff off when i made an offer that was a bit more affordable. Worst customer service I have ever come across in my life.

Cars are in very poor condition, should not be trusted. Want 6 grand for a 2005 chevy colorado with a frame in this condition!!! A frame replacement is at least 4 grand!!!

I just recently purchased my car from 1st Ave Auto. It was well worth the drive from Waterloo. Heidi and Michael are great people to deal with. They're low pressure and don't use the silly tactics that other car sellers use. They're honest and straight forward. It's like buying a car from a friend. I highly recommend them.

We were looking for a car for our daughter. Heidi was so friendly - no sales pressure at all! Found a car we liked and found out one of the windows didn't work. No problem - Heidi ordered the part, we took the car back a few days later and the part was replaced in about an hour. Definitely small business feel - very personable and honest. They value their customers. We would recommend 1st Ave Auto and Heidi to anyone!

Heidi Jo and Mike are very helpful and great to work with. They were awesome at keeping in my budget so I can afford a car. One thing that sets them apart from other big lots is the test drive. YOU can drive the car by yourself without having a salesman in there telling you how nice the car is. YOU get to feel the car and all it has to offer without someone in the front or back constantly nagging at you. That was by far the best car buying experience I ve had. THANKS 1st Ave Auto!! I will be back again!!

Heidi and Michael were awesome to work with, incredibly nice and down to earth. We were there a bunch of times, looking at a few different cars over the past week, and they were super professional and patient the whole time, even when we asked probably a billion questions. There was never any pressure and you can tell they genuinely want to help you get exactly what you want. Plus you seriously can't beat their prices! Thank you so much guys!!

Amazing family owned business, they make you feel comfortable and are always straightforward with offers and trade ins. They helped me get the perfect car I wanted, and were patient and helpful through it all. Sticking behind your products is rare in today's business industry, especially with cars, with 1st ave auto you will never have to worry, and you'll always leave happy, and ready to go back next time you need a car! 110% would reccomend!!

I wanted to wait a couple of months after I bought a vehicle to write a review to allow room for any ups or downs to be worked through. There have been no downs. I was searching for a truck for my high school son, found one on their website at a good price. Everything was exactly as they reported. I really felt like the staff here put me first and wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied with the experience. They were knowledgeable, very responsive, and best of all, not pushy. They wanted to make sure I got what I was looking for. I asked lots of questions and they gave lots of answers. I appreciated the straightforward nature of doing business here which is why I will definitely look at their selection when my next kiddo is ready to drive. This is how service should be done.

Rod and Heidi did a phenomenal job of helping me find a used car at a reasonable price. Great service and even better people. I couldn't praise them enough. I will be sending anyone I know looking for a car to them.

I recently bought a truck here and now find out it needs a lot of work. I thought they would have done all the checks that they normally do on this particular vehicle as well, but I found out later that they did not. When I called back, they tell me that they normally would do a 72-point inspection on cars they buy and resell, but it was not the case with this one. Why would this one be different, at least let me know this before purchasing! I wasn't expecting a warranty but would expect routine operations to be done to all their cars. I called to see if they could help me at all with this pricey repair situation and they said their part-time mechanic could maybe fit it in and he works at lower rates. They told me to call the next Friday to check, no one answered, so I left a message. They haven't called me back and now I have a car I can't even drive because of it overheating due to an oil leak. I am extremely upset about this.

Good people. Very helpful. Communication was outstanding! They went above and beyond to help my family and I get into the vehicle we wanted! Very caring people. Would highly recommend giving them the opportunity to get you into a new to you car!

1st Ave Auto stand by what they say. I truly believe they are there for the customer. They truly care. We recently bought a car from them and they more then proved that. 1st Ave Auto wants to make sure their customers are satisfied. We had a great experience with them. I would recommend them to anyone.

I bought a vehicle there at the end of May and ran into some issues with it after a couple weeks. I called up Rod and he worked to make sure I was taken care of. It's nice to know they will stand by the customer even after purchase.

They don't return calls and if you try and call there's never an answer. We had money to purchase a veichle and no one would answer on a work day. My bank had trouble getting information from them as well. We ended up going to the car lot up the road to purchase
