We went to Witham in Cedar Falls because our Volkswagen Jetta needed service, and our hometown dealership wasn't able to take care of it. Jake and Todd made it a great experience. After trying to get a hold of someone in Mason City (because its closer for us) without anyone getting back to us, I called Witham in Cedar Falls and was able to get in contact with someone in the service department immediately. Our neice was entertained with all the toys in the Kids Corner, which was AWESOME. Highly recommend.

I can t speak highly enough about our experience with Witham Auto and specifically working with Jacob. With having 4 children we needed a larger vehicle so we decided to trade our Traverse in for a Dodge Caravan. Jacob made the whole thing an absolute breeze. He s friendly, personable, and so easy to talk to. I highly recommend Witham Auto. Ask for Jacob!

Angela E. on 01-10-2024I had scheduled an appointment for 8:30 AM. I dropped my car off at 7 AM as I had to be at work by 7:30 AM. I received my text from Christopher at Witham at 10:21 AM. I replied at 10:28 AM, asking if my car would be done at 11:30 as I had planned to pick up the car at that time. I did not receive a reply. I then called the dealership. I was transferred to Service, and no one answered. My husband took me to get my car at 11:30. I was told it was at least an hour away from being finished. I am not sure who I spoke with. It was not Christopher, as he was at lunch. When I questioned why it was taking so long since I had scheduled an appointment, I was told, "It's like a doctor's office. You make an appointment, and you may get in; you may not." I explained that I had been coming to Witham for ten years and had never had that happen before. I was told, "It happens all the time." At that point, I left as I needed to get to another commitment.I returned approximately 15 minutes later and spoke with the service manager. I am unsure of her name. I explained that I had texted back and tried to call but was unsuccessful in getting any communication. I explained my frustration with the person I interacted with. His flippant and dismissive tone was the rudest interaction I have experienced at Witham Cedar Falls in my years there. At best, I can only explain his interaction with me as patronizing. I have purchased four cars from Witham (1 in Waterloo and 3 in Cedar Falls). While I do not expect special treatment, I do know what has been the norm at Witham. I have always had excellent communication and the appointments I have scheduled have always been honored. The manager was helpful and listened to my concerns regarding communication and how I was treated. She assured me she would address the situation with the employee. I proceeded to the waiting area where I waited for my car to get finished.Christopher came to get me and was wonderful. I appreciated his kind and thoughtful nature.

Have been in and out a few times dealing with the service department. The younger man in at the desk seems to "know everything". He also gives my significant other attitude everytime she tries to get something done, so now we feel i have to be involved everytime she needs something done. All other employees are great to do business with though!

I ve been taken care of in the service department by Jake and Chris over the past 3-4 years. Recently I was deciding whether to get the repairs done on my old car or trade in for a newer one. Chris answered lots of questions for me and even let me talk to the mechanic to help make my decision. I heard him telling the mechanic just be really honest with her . Jake talked it over with me a couple years ago when I was faced with the same choice. Both times I decided to do the repairs because they weren t trying to sell me a new car I didn t really need.The service department is not in the business of getting your money; they re in the business of getting returning customers. I kept bringing my car here because they were always honest and didn t perform services that didn t need done. I came in once to get a belt replaced because Tires Plus said I needed it, but the team here said the belt was still new and didn t need replaced. I said I wasn t sure if I needed an oil change yet, and they said I was good for another 2,000 miles. I asked Chris to explain some of the services on my repair estimate and he crossed a couple things off that he said really didn t need done to save me some money. Jake and Chris understand that I m just a broke college girl and they aren t trying to take advantage of me not knowing that much about cars. Thanks guys

Excellent buying experience at Witham in Cedar Falls. Did most of the work remotely so a very smooth process when taking delivery. Cael is an outstanding sales person. Thorough, knowledgeable, and great to work with. Marnie in the business office was also a pleasure to work with on the financial aspects of the process. I feel I received a great deal and very happy with the experience.

Was told my vehicle would be out for 1 day, they ended up needing it for a full 2 days because they didn't have the correct part. Got my vehicle back and hoses were not properly attached/almost hanging and the cover was not put on my engine. Brody also said he needed proof about my radio being funky like I was making up a story. When I called to tell him about the missing things/mess up, he stated that the tech remembered that he put everything back correctly, which clearly he did not. I was told that "mistakes happen and no one is perfect". BEWARE, make sure your vehicle is checked over after you get it back. This is ridiculous for such a large company.

If I could be a negative review I would make it one. I will say, the female sales lady, Haley, was excellent and was great at being attentive and such.But the managers always get involved and this guy was something special. I do not remember his name off hand because I left so pissed off. It was a used F150 but had average miles and some rust.First he's absolutely low balling my trade-in, and saying they marked down the truck from an unlisted price to the one I saw on facebook, trying to get me to think that I'm "Saving money" and when I said I wanted to be around $200 and showing me a $300+ payment per month, I started to sour on the truck.So then they magically found more money for my trade in, still not budging on the truck at all. So he said to me that he would talk to 1-2 banks, I told him that's fine but I didn't want my credit pulled, if that was needed that I would be willing to go home to make sure I had the appropriate budget for it. I wasn't going to buy a vehicle if I can't afford it.So the sales lady is just collecting some information and asked for my social. I was deeply concerned they were going to pull my credit after I said no MULTIPLE TIMES. I gave them the wiggle room and then my Credit Karma app dinged saying a hard inquiry had been pulled.I sat up, started to walk out. I asked for my keys, got into my car and the head manager came up to my car. I told him that I said specifically that I didn't want him to pull my credit. The head manager had the audacity to tell me the manager didn't pull it, the banks did. REALLY?! That's the excuse?You think it's ok to be morally wrong and borderline unethical? Now I'm going to have to make sure those reports THAT WERE UNAUTHORIZED by me get pulled off. I never signed anything saying that was ok to do so either. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION UNLESS YOU ARE 1000% BUYING AND BUYING FROM THEM. Awful and will never return to this location again.

Cael was awesome Saturday when I went in right before they closed to test drive a car. He even stayed a little late since we were talking about the car. Ryan was awesome on Tuesday right after a holiday to hold a car for me with a card on file until I could come in later in the morning to pay for the vehicle. Recommend either one of them.

I am very satisfied and happy with the great customer service of the Witham team in Cedar Falls. Thank you very much to Chris in service at CF store for showing me the gorgeous 2024 VW Atlas Cross Sport and getting me interested in it, and thanks a lot to Cael for his time, patience and dedication, he showed me every single detail in the car and made the purchasing experience smooth. Marni was lovely and very professional as well.

I got the hours wrong on when the store closes and showed up right at close. One guy actually opened the door right away turned on the lights and patiently assisted us! I took my car in for a few repairs and they rocked it! My car is running like new again. Fantastic customer service and will definitely be doing all my future auto needs here!!!

We were interested in a Ford Explorer at Witham and came to purchase it tonight. The service was set up by Scott and when we arrived they had everything ready and the Explorer parked out front. We were received by smiles and excellent service. Conner had some help switching license plates and both were all smiles!!! Once again thank y all for taking the time to help us with our new family ride! We ll see ya again in bout three years

Rude service, scammers. Go someone else!!! If you don t kids be very careful. Have your mechanic look at the car, look at Kelly blue book yourself. They are worse than normal used car salesman s. No morals or ethics at all.

We have been talking with Payton at Witham and he has been amazing since day one! Very knowledgeable and great at staying in touch and communicating all the details needed to purchase our Kia Telluride! We are from out of town and are SO glad we chose Payton and Witham Auto Center. Would highly recommend them to anyone. Everyone was friendly and generally wanted to help and get the best for my family and I! We will look here first for our next vehicle purchase!

I just stopped in (without an appointment) to see about getting some new wiper blades for my 2019 Jetta. You had them in stock and installed them for me quickly and I was on my way. Fast and friendly service.

Have a good car that I take care of. Got the car home and to my disappointment found this front panel hanging down with atleast 5 screws missing. Thankfully it didn t come off or get damaged. Just lazy work. Really concerns me with how they did the rest of the job seeing such carelessness.

Professional service, made time to insure my questions were answered, problem appears to be fixed.On the downside I hate the advertising in communication such as text messages, please just tell me what I need to know. I don't like wading through the distractions to get what I need. Also shop fees have really grown.

*This review is regarding the service department. I have not experienced the sales side of Witham enough to write a detailed review of that side of the business.Being a dealership, I automatically put the service department at four stars here. That's just how dealerships are nowadays. However, I go down to two stars for two reasons: the cost, and the service. While the work itself seems to have been done well, I would not consider the work that was completed (oil change and tire rotation) to be worth $169. Regarding the customer service, I scheduled my service appointment online, and entered my phone number of course... however, apparently, the scheduling form goes to the sales department and not the service department (and they are not connected, so I was told...), and my service advisor, when I arrived to drop off my car, wrote down my number wrong. Okay, fair enough, that could be my fault just as much as his because the number was vocally given. Nevertheless, the sales department DID contact me on the correct number, so I figured everyone had the right number and I would get a call when my car was done. The sales rep did not make the connection until the following day, and nobody from Witham took any corrective action (no discount, no nothing) for this. I am not super upset, but the fact they never took any semblance of responsibility and never offered a discount of any type, shows they don't really care enough for me to have any desire to bring my car back.

I visited Witham s Service Department in Cedar Falls earlier this year for some warranty work on my truck. My experience wasn t the best as work wasn t done that was said to be, but the issue was resolved. I decided to give them a second chance as people make mistakes and I had absolutely zero complaints on how I was treated as a customer. Beverly the service advisor in Cedar Falls was extremely nice and happy to help me out in any way possible. I returned to Witham in Waterloo for more warranty work, and everything went great! Everyone there was very polite and professional. The manager made sure the issue I was having on my truck was diagnosed and it s scheduled in to get fixed. The service technician Donnie was very informative and walked me through the steps on what needed to be done, thank you Donnie! Overall, I am very pleased with my second trip to Witham and would recommend them if you need any service done on your vehicle.

Awful service department, lying about only needing 1 repair them claiming it needs more after that one that are worth significantly more. 1* ratingSales side is about what you expect from a mediocre dealership. Very pushy, tries to get you to ignore the numbers and focus on monthly payment and lies about percentage on the loans. 2* ratingTLDR: Don't take for repairs and if you have options go somewhere else to buy a car if possible

If I could give negative stars I would. I am looking for a new auto care facility. More often than not when Witham has serviced my vehicle it comes back to me broken or damaged in some way. It s getting to be almost comical at this point. Where s Ashton Kutcher?

Bought my VW Atlas from Lu at Witham s a few months ago, love it and love the customer service there! Lu is a great salesman and was very helpful! Highly recommend! To add- I m a first time car buyer and Witham s made the process easy!

I had a very good experience.. I seen this car on website, sent them a message and Lu responded within 10 minutes.. They got me financed quickly, test drove, and while I signed the papers , they washed the car.. Lu and the staff made me feel welcome and I left happy!! Thanks

The only dealership I get my car service at since I bought my vehicle from here.Jake is an excellent service worker always willing to go the extra mile to make sure my needs are met and affordable when it comes to my vehicle. Professional employees, quick scheduling, very friendly, and a clean atmosphere, with free popcorn and hot drinks .To all the employees at Witham you deserve 5 stars and more job well done thank you kindly...

Went in for an oil change, as I m just sitting in the waiting room minding my own business. I was pressed to sit down with a salesman and speak about a trade in and assistance looking for a new vehicle. I just bought my current vehicle (getting the oil change) 4 months ago. I see my car outside done being worked on, but the sales guy says the service writer is still working on my recommended service report (basically other services to sell me that I don t want) after another 45-60 min, I walk into the service desk to check on my vehicle since no one has called me yet. Yep, my car JUST got finished. Wierd, it s been sitting out there for at least 45 min. I pay my bill, then receive another phone call, a couple different text messages about buying a new car from Witham. Not happy with this experience or pressure to buy a vehicle when I just want to get my oil changed.

I think the deal we received was fair. There was the classic experience as there is in most dealerships where multiple offers were bested, one after the other until we reached a common figure. The numbers were good and agreeable, but not 'deal of a lifetime' good. The car was my 3rd color choice, so a better inventory would have made a difference in the deal.
