I have nothing but good experiences with this shop. Excellent customer service, but more importantly, they do honest work. Being a single mother it is hard to find a shop to take my vehicle to. Let s be honest, being a woman and going in alone to a auto shop is always a risk...we are prime hunting material for most auto shops! I never worry when I m here, they are honest and fair in pricing and I know my vehicle is getting the right work done. Love the people, love the work!

We where traveling through Iowa in July on our way to Yellowstone. We suffered a turbo failure on our coach about 30 miles from Burlington, IA. we didn't know where to have it towed too, one diesel repair place said "Holtkamp's in Burlington, IA" when we arrived at their shop via a semi tow truck. Nathan was there and suggested we stay in our coach over night. The next morning he and his service tech where looking at our coach and is was obvious that we would have to leave our coach and return to TN. That was very uncomfortable since we really didn't know what kind of repair shop they where.Nathan and I would talk weekly over the next 2.5 months. Our motorhome suffered a major issue and would require a lot of engine work. Nathan assured me that it would be repaired correctly like it was his own.I picked it up and drove it home on friday 600+ miles. It ran like a top and has all kinds of power, and it's like a new coach! I would drive 600+ miles to have him work on my coach again. After talking with him for 10 minutes you can tell he loves what he does, he cares about the quality repair work.I would recommend his shop to anyone, wanting to have diesel work done.

I don't even know where to start.... I would rate 0 stars if it would let me I took a 1 ton vehicle in for new coil springs I showed the shop manager that they where heavy duty ones, he agreed he could do it in about 2.5 to 3 hours. Well when I get the bill it's for 9.5 hours to change 2 coil springs that's it. They where using chains and the fork lift to try to smash the spring down,because they don't have the right hydraulic coil spring compressor. They even broke one of my abs sensor bolts and zip tied it back on and forgot to mention that to me. I would recommend taking your business else where. The shop manager also got in a verbal confrontation with me in front of the whole shop and other customers. Very poor customer skills.

**update-broke down in Des Moines; never made it back east. Will have to find another repair shop to put in a fuel pump or fix whatever the issue is. I'm not happy that Holtkamp wasted my time and never fixed the main issue. The friendly smiles weren't backed up by their work. Now I need to spend more money on another shop. This sucks! //end 2nd update.*update-2nd day driving vehicle backfiring, jerking, no power. Back to square one. 600+ down the drain. /endUpdate*.pros: friendly, do only what is needed to get things "running", laid back, prices i guess are fair.con: they wont call u back with any updates despite saying they will and when you call them they will say that they have been "swamped." Take a very long time to work on vehicle-like over a month. Questionable prioritization of work queue: eg. if you have your beat up looking RV/home towed to their place, then don't expect any rush to fix the issue, as tractor trailer service seems to trump all other service. Perhaps higher priority would be given if the vehicle looks newer; I don't know. Security: side door of rv was forced open and door latch bent out of shape so much so that the door couldn't close. It rained/stormed at their lot and door jam wood frame warped making closing the door difficult and locking it nearly impossible. So far, as far as I can tell no items went missing from the RV.In summary: sloooow, with perhaps???your financial position in mind. Friendly, but way too busy and need to advertise that tractor trailers are their main client. If I was stranded in an rv with my family I'd probably have my vehicle towed elsewhere given what I know now. I'm out 600+ and still have a stranded RV.

I have had them do multiple things to my motor home like basic service to upgrades and everytime they have done a VERY good on everything I have asked them to do. Would recommend them . Nathan has been very good to work with.

Needed a gooseneck hitch installed quickly. Went in and talked to the guys at Holtkamp and they had it ordered and installed the next day. They carry many items for customizing your truck with quick and friendly service.

They do half our job one hrs on the phone and charge me almost two hrs price.If I don't pay they will call the police , I wish you called already because It fix at 12pm.They don't answer my phone until 12:45pm .But they ask me pay all of that.and I check the reviews yes they did it before.

They installed wrong part on 6.0 diesel, then swear up and down you can't. Went to two other mechanics and they said it was wrong part. Find somewhere else to have your diesel worked on!!!
