Everything seemed smooth at first, and the main guy was great. However, post-service, my car started making a new loud noise when turning, hinting at an either new and/or worsened axle issue. After bringing it back in, they proposed several hundred dollars more for a new axle, labor, and another $100+ wheel alignment (after they just charge me for one). Given the initial positive interaction, this turn of events was pretty disappointing and felt unacceptable. Maybe it was an honest mistake, but sadly, it didn t match the great reviews I d read.

Recently took my vehicle here for a simple oil change before we went on a road trip. There was nothing wrong with the service that was performed or the price. The woman at the front desk was pleasant and helpful, she even gave a discount for the wait (explained more below), but really shouldn't have had to and having a tight schedule that day, it was a bit annoying.I believe my appointment was at 11:30am. Appointments are usually made so your day can be more easily planned out and managed. I was there about 10 minutes before my appointment time and asked the person at the front desk how long the oil change would take, and she said about 15-20 minutes or so if they have the filter in stock (which she confirmed they did). Ok, great, no problem.While the waiting area was nice, I believe it was her daughter was very loud. She was hanging out in the actual walled-off area of the waiting room, so I couldn't sit in there. Instead, I sat at one of the tables by the front window. I was wearing noise cancelling earbuds and her daughter was still...obnoxiously loud.Listen, I have no problem bringing kids to work, sometimes and in some situations it may be necessary. But, they shouldn't cause a negative customer experience with a customer-facing job/business. She did little to quiet her daughter down or reign her in.However, the biggest issue I had was they did not even touch my car until half an hour or more after the appointment time. It was noon, or a little after, when they pulled my car into the bay. There were two other cars parked out front and I was the only other one in the waiting area. Half the bays were empty from the outside. It was about 12:30, an hour after the scheduled appointment time, before they were done.Again, appointments are made for a reason, if you can't stick to them, let your customer know up front so they can either reschedule or adjust other arrangements. Unfortunately, I couldn't just leave as we were leaving on a road trip the next day. I may still return, as the work itself and the friendliness of the staff is still great, but hopefully the thoughts from a return customer are taken into consideration for the future.Service: Oil change

So I bought tires through TireAgent and hadCar X Tire & Auto2465 53rd AvenueBettendorf, IA 52722 put the tires on.I told them I wanted to keep my tires that they where replacing. Because only 1 tire was bad. The other 3 where still good and the bad one I had a project for my yard with. The man told me I could not keep them it was against state regulations. I was all ready having a bad day so I let it go. But then he tried to tell me that my lugnuts all swelled and I needed them all replaced and if I didn't replace them all my tires won't come off when I need them too. And told me it was $432 for all 4 tires lugnuts to be replaced by them. Then shortly later he came back and told me I could get them off Amazon and needed to do it before I went of my trip.So I ended up leaving all flustered and went to the wrecker company to have my tires retorked. Where my boyfriend proceeded to tell everyone there what happened at Car X Tire & Auto. In which they informed me that 1 I could of and should of been able to keep my tires and 2 my lugnuts don't swell and they was trying to rip me off and that they had actually broken and replaced 3 or 4 lugnuts on my Jeep. METAL does not swell.I am one who doesn't like to make a seen and I will just walk away. But I will also let others know when something shady is going on and this is extremely shady!

Took car there to replace struts and they would only replace one. They broke things and charged me for it. Had to take my car somewhere else to fix not only finish what they were supposed to do, but also to undo everything they did. Ended up costing me twice as much! Avoid this place like the plague!!

Pulled in there on Saturday and the staff was really friendly and promptly changed my taillights for a very fair price.

Had our car aligned this morning. They did a great job. While I was there, the manager had to deal with a belligerent customer who was totally out of line regarding having to wait on a part and cost of the repair. The manager did an excellent job remaining professional even though he was being berated. We will definitely return

Have used this place and the other locations many times have always had a good experience with honest guys. Recently they have sold to another company not a fan dropped my car off for some simple exhaust work waited 4 days never heard a thing from them then was told it would be over 900 dollars for a job that should take no more then 3-4 hours tops sadly I will not be taking my car there for work again because they charge more then dealership price now.

I recently visited QC Auto Service on 53rd Avenue in Bettendorf, IA. It was by far the best experience I have had with an auto service provider. The reception area was clean and inviting, the staff was available and friendly, the service was quick and reasonably priced. A total 180 from the horrible service I have had at Walmart and Farm and Fleet. Definitely recommend this business!Services: Brakes, Oil change

I was super impressed, when they even thought they might have broken another part when doing a repair they fixed it at no cost! They never unnecessarily up-sold any repairs, and made sure everything they worked on was approved. Used them multiple times, they are the only place I d use in the QC!

Jeff was our savior tonight. Had a dead battery, but we were able to jump the car at 430pm. I called the shop and even though they were scheduled to close at 5pm, Jeff told us to head over right away. He got us in to test and swap out the battery within 30 minutes. Extremely impressed and happy he was willing to help us out on such short notice. Highly recommend!Service: Battery

Matt and Jeff are awesome. Thank you for the great customer service, really went above and beyond to make sure my cars Issues were taken care of. They even loaned me a car while it was getting worked on, I really appreciated that. I also want to thank the Technician, my jeep ride great.

I ran over a nail on my way back to the office after lunch. They told me to bring it over right away so they could check it. I was in and out in probably less than 20 minutes. Front desk folks were very professional and friendly. The guy that fixed the tire stopped to talk to me as well, letting me know to bring it back if any issues showed up. Great service, great value, great group. Will definitely use them again for future services.

Leroy and the team at QC are courteous, communicate clearly and often, and do consistently good, punctual work. They are always proactive about offering us coupon deals and are even really nice to our dog. They explain options and are clear about pricing- we've never had any nasty surprises with them. We really appreciate knowing we're in good hands here.

I recently had an oil change here, as I have done many other times. The price was $30 more than I had ever paid before which I thought was odd. As usual, they came to me during my oil change and handed me a list of things that needed to be fixed. I noticed the tires were off of my car in the shop. I didn t realize you had to remove tires to change the oil on a vehicle, but hey, I m not a mechanic. The list of needed repairs came out to just under $1000. I paid $80 for my oil change and left. I later took my car to a different place to have them take a look at these so called repairs I needed. They told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car and that all the things pointed out to me were in good condition. I will never return to this place and you should never give them your money either. They must take advantage of all women or people who don t seem to know a lot about cars so they can rip you off. I was even warned by a coworker years ago not to go here, who spent thousands of dollars on what I can only assume were unnecessary repairs.

Fantastic service! I had initially taken my car somewhere else and was given a pretty high estimate so I called these guys. Craig was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and straightforward (very refreshing after being given the run-around at other places!)He was able to get me in right away and ended up doing the repairs for half what I was quoted elsewhere. They really went above and beyond to provide outstanding service and I will definitely go back for anything I need in the future.

I was passing through the Quad Cities and had a nail that kept deflating my tire. I called around to several places but they would not see me on short notice. This place gets it. The fit me in right away and had me back on the road in 15 minutes. I appreciated the friendly service and willingness to help a traveler just trying to get home.Service: Tires

I pulled in to QC Auto Service on 53rd St b/c of a leaking tire. I was greeted with a smile and treated like family. Jeff & James took care of me and, no kidding, the tire was repaired in 3 minutes! (I did show the tech where the nail went in).The waiting area was bright & clean, wonderful and very rare compared to other QCA auto shops.I give my highest recommendation!Service: Tires

Had a radiator replaced months ago in an emergency situation and they were great. Got me in and out that same day.Then today my tire went flat, on the coldest day so far this year, -4�, -15� wind chill. I pulled over and began to change the tire, but couldn't get the wheel off from it being so rusted. I kicked and kicked and tried prying it off to no avail. So I drove around the corner to the shop and the guys there were really nice and helpful. I felt like a mechanically challenged idiot, but they ensured me that these things happen and sometimes they get stuck and are really hard to get off without having a lift to get a better angle to pop it off. So they did just that, got my tire off, put my spare on, aired all my tires up and brought my car around. The man then shook my hand and told me to have a nice day! I was fully expecting to pay SOMEthing, but they didn't charge me anything. They really helped me out, i would've froze my butt off kicking and banging on that tire, numb from the feet up for God knows how long, but they came through and rescued me. And right before the shop closed also. I couldn't be more thankful for them. I don't normally review things, but it's the least i could do. Mechanics are hard for me to trust, but these guys gained my trust immensely. Definatly will recommend this spot to my friends and family, and YOU!

Leroy, Jeff and the team at QC Auto got me in on short notice and made sure our car was in tip-top shape before heading out on a family road trip - at a cost that was much less than the dealership had quoted my wife. Great folks to work with and we will definitely make this shop part of our normal routine to keep our cars running strong.

Jeff & James did a wonderful job when I had front brakes replaced on my Audi Q5. They were very professional, got the work done faster than they stated and helped with the decision making process. I will return for future work on all my cars.Thanks Jeff!

I got some work done here recently and it wasn't the overcharging of services compared to other shops in the area that bugged me. It was the lack of gloves being used by the wokres while driving my car in and out and the complete disregard to wipe my car down with antibacterial cleaner. Luckily I had gloves with me and I didn't touch anything and disinfected my own car when I got home. If this is how businesses run after the spike of corona we just had, there will be another one most definitely. I will never go here again.

I mistakenly scheduled my appointment at the wrong location, but Anthony had no problems with getting me in and even honored the price I was given over the phone! Wonderful service from everyone and really appreciated them staying after close for me to get the job done. Will be a returning customer!

QC Auto in Bettendorf is the only place I take my car in the Quad Cities. They are always so professional, helpful, honest, and friendly. Jeff has always taken the time to explain what is wrong with my car and does so with a smile on his face. Highly recommend QC Auto in Bettendorf!

Best, courteous service! Took my vehicle in for a couple of noises. They found the issues, which were minor. Even though they spent time finding them, they dodnt charge me anything! Honest mechanics!!
