I've had nothing but timely and thorough service at the Dewey Ford location in Ankeny. Gina is a wonderful service coordinator! She's knowledgeable, trustworthy, and great at communicating. I would go back for future care when needed. No hesitation. The only suggestion to make this a 5-star review would be if they could vacuum and wash the vehicles when picking up after a service. Considering the cost of repairs, it is a nice way to deliver a finished product back to the customer.

They were too lazy to remove my center caps on my brand new wheels when the removed them.. and when I reached out to ask to be reimbursed they ghosted me.. they also only put 7 of the 8 lug nuts on one wheel

Service Department: I don t believe anyone is qualified or organized here. I brought my Ford Explorer in for repair because someone who borrowed my car had vandalized the radio setup. I had to have a dash harness replaced. It also needed a battery and new cables. I can appreciate that this is an extensive job, as the dash assembly has to be removed. However, here are my problems:1.) After the install, the instrument cluster would lose power intermittently and there was no power to the radio itself or climate controls. They wanted me to pay for additional diagnosis, which would NOT have been fairly priced, in my opinion. I declined. After I paid the nearly $6,000 bill as it was and retrieved my vehicle, I decided to check interior fuses. I purchased a micro fuse pack at a parts store for $6 and fixed all of those issues myself. Components not working after wire install should not require additional diagnosis without first checking if fuses were affected as part of the install. This takes less than 2 minutes to use a tester on every fuse, which they are equipped to do.2.) I was told during the repair that the radio screen was missing. I was determined to find it in the car after I picked it up. I disassembled the dash and discovered that the screen was in fact there. It was installed BACKWARDS in the assembly! How does that even happen? Regardless, I flipped it around and positioned it correctly myself.3.) I have had to jump start the car every single day after the battery/cables install. Turns out, the cables were installed incorrectly. I too, fixed this myself and corrected the problem. Suddenly no more jump starts needed.4.) Since the car sat for 2 years, I inquired about fluid flushes, since fluids tend to break down/degrade as they sit. They kept trying to sell me a $1,200 package to do this. That s insane. I flushed fluids myself, and managed that one on my own too since I didn t trust them anymore. If you can t tell the difference between the front and back of a screen, I definitely don t trust you in my engine bay.If issues 1-3 were problems that should have been addressed as part of the repairs I requested, then why did I still have to come home and clean up the missing pieces to avoid wasting more money? I feel that I was overcharged and taken advantage of.To top the cake, I go to pick up my car and suddenly my key was lost. I waited over 30 minutes while they ran back and forth trying to find it.Absolutely poor communication between technicians, service advisors and management. It would take a lot for me to consider coming back for anything.

Absolutely flabbergasted how long it takes to get an oil change. Unfortunately i purchased a 3 oil change package (note to self don't make the same mistake)so I will have to come back 2 more times.Almost 2 hours and 30 minutes o get an oil change.Alexis was fast, friendly and efficient. She got me in 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. The facility was well maintained and clean. The sales floor and customer lounge was sufficient. No snacks like other dealers. There are complimentary coffee and des moines water on tap. There are a variety of vehicles for sale. ford bronco raptor for $95,000 ford lighting for around $74,000, mustang GT 5.0 priced at $58,000, ford escape foe $37,000, , expedifor $73,000.There are a variety of vehicles for sale.If you are looking for fast, efficient service, I recommend going elsewhere. I make $57/hr for work and wasted 2.5 hour waiting on an oil change. Pretty ridiculous.

Luke and Dalton made our car buying experience super easy. They worked hard for us and got us into the perfect vehicle. Professional and honest from start to finish. We would definitely purchase again from them. I d encourage anyone in the market looking for a vehicle to try Dewey Ford in ankeny! Ask for Luke!

Very personable people at all ends of the organization. I ordered a Superduty truck and it took quite a while to get it. My salesman kept me informed on a regular basis and was just as happy to see my truck arrive as I was. These are good folks and when it's time, i'll be getting my next truck from Dewey too.

My review is too long to post all the details as I have tried working with them to resolve my issues in the service department. This one star is for experiences I have already been in contact with them about in the service department and for my most recent experience with them in sales. I wanted to trade my vehicle in for something smaller and to stay within a certain payment. They told me they had just the thing I was looking for. I get there and a 2023 had been brought up for me to look at. Double my price range. They also offered me half of what my truck is worth. Hopefully this helps someone else out.Edit: I have reached out and given multiple chances. This isn't one isolated incident.

I traded in a car almost two months ago and still haven t even gotten my registration. I first called the Treasury Office. They then told me, they had nothing new on their end and haven t gotten any information about me getting a new vehicle. My tags expired back in January for my plates and I waited very patiently for the new registration along with the new tag. I then went to call the dealership to tell them about it all and see what happened on their end. Basically telling me they haven t even gotten the title from the auction where they got the car from so they haven t been able to do anything on their part. I then asked if they would be at least be able to help me out and give me something temporary for my expired plates since I can t do anything more but wait even more. As I stated before, it s been almost two whole months since I got my car from them and they seem they don t want to help me anymore, nor care about how I now have to drive with expired plates.

Last time I bought a vehicle here, I had a great experience. This time, I ordered a vehicle with Ed Myers and did it at the dealership so I would ensure I got what I wanted. I told him everything I wanted, then I get a message that my vehicle is being built. I looked at the email and it is missing the first thing I asked him about and mentioned several times. When i went to the dealership he said, this is what you signed isn't it? I was flabbergasted that he was going to put the blame on me when the paper I signed was not clear if the option was there. I got my deposit back, and going somewhere else.

We traded my Tahoe for a ford expedition. At first we had a great experience. Then not even 2 months of owning it a lot of things started going wrong and they said they would make it right. My husband played phone tagged for WEEKS!!! was getting told one then and then them doing another thing. Long story short they so far have been the worst dealership I ve ever dealt with and regret ever buying a car from them. I ll never return to this dealership. Super annoyed and disappointed as I heard good things about this place just to be let down. They only fixed two things out of like 7! Said warranty didn t cover anything, which is crazy cause why am I paying for the warranty then!? They never ever answer there phones it s always playing phone tag. It s ridiculous. We talked to another ford dealership in our town and they couldn t believe a dealership would do this or treat anyone this way. They would have made it right if we bought a car from them and not even 60 days later started having issues. Don t buy from this dealership. It s a joke.

The dealer told us we had diesel in our gas tank - impossible! I asked them to save some fuel to be sampled .of course they did not do that. Driving home after service the service engine light came on again so problem was not corrected. They then had the truck for two months before repair was made. Dealer would not credit cost of incorrect original repair even after two months. Do not trust this dealership . Will never be back!!!

I was referred to Dennis, he has been an awesome salesman! I told him our specifications and what we were willing to spend and he hit it out of the park! So glad we came to Dewey Ford Auto Outlet! Highly recommend!

Worst dealership experience I ve ever had. Traveled 2 hrs to look at a vehicle and it was filthy. Grime on the shifter, gummy worms and fries in the seat buckle, popcorn seeds laying around. Apparently the vehicle had already been detailed which leads to concerns about what other things were overlooked. Our salesman did say he could have it re-detailed but their service department was gone for the day so we would have had to travel 2 hrs home, just to turn around and do another 4 hr round trip the next day! The vehicle also had some cosmetic damage but that is also to be expected with a 2 year old vehicle Expressed our disappointment and concerns to which our salesman brought over his sales manager who had horrible customer service. No apologies for traveling 2 hrs to spend over 30k just to have it be disgusting. Told us that he would just sell it Tuesday so if we don t buy it, it s not a big deal. An apology and saying the cosmetic damage was already considered in the listing price would have gone a long way. We left there saying there was no way we d ever give our business to these people.Wasn t going to write a review but received a text from them today informing me they were selling the vehicle to a sister company today for $2k above asking price and saying let s make a deal . Replied back expressing my disappointment with Saturday s experience and didn t receive a reply back. Apparently learning how and when to apologize is not in their customer service training.Coming from someone in sales, these people need to learn they aren t only selling their product. They re selling themselves and an experience. You can buy the same vehicle from multiple places . I wouldn t recommended anyone give their business to these people.

Service department is pretty terrible at scheduling. Plan ahead and be ready for your vehicle to sit there days after your appointment without even starting diagnostics. Picked it up and scheduled with the actual workload scheduling person and brought it back 2 weeks later when the tech would be back and able to jump right in it. Brought it back, sat another full day without even being pulled in for diagnostics.Never was contacted by service manager or anything after.Quick lane for oil changes seems to be doing better these days.

Fianc bought a new Bronco sport and had to have the remote start worked on, no biggie. The issue is the service department leaving parts of the dash disassembled in the passenger seat, tools and schematics in the car. This makes you wonder how good of a job do they actually do repairing your vehicle but I think the quality of the repair speaks volumes after seeing the lazy work.

The last two cars I bought from Dewey Ford were sub par, not the pricing though! The last one was a new car, that had mechanical issues. Ford Motor Co was the one to get things resolved. Dewey did nothing. As a repeat customer for decades, I am done with them. Not one bit impressed, and I will not recommend them to anyone!

I used to love Dewey, they took care of us every time during and after the sale with service. Unfortunately that has changed. I took my Mustang in for one of the Advantage Care oil/rotations. They asked if I had any remaining on my account, which I thought I did. Halfway through the change the adviser told me that I didn't have any left - not a big deal. A few minutes later the adviser came out again and informed me that I would have had two more changes, but they had expired. This was surprising to me, since it used to not be an issue, the car isn't driven that much and they honored it. Then the adviser told me that my past two Advantage Cares had expired, so I was wasting my money. Thankfully they let me know this, since the other advisers never mentioned it and were happy to take my money. Then the adviser suggested that I get single oil changes from now on. I appreciate that single adviser looking out. Then I got the bill for this single change. It was $160. Now on their website it says a synthetic oil change (up to 6 qts) is $80 with an addition charge for additional oil. Instead of charging me the $80 and 2 additional quarts @ $14 each, they charged me for 8 qts @ $14.I tried to contact Dewey directly and was met with no response. I just hope that this post helps other people avoid getting taken by them.

They work hard to earn your business...went to 8 dealers and they got the job done. I needed to downsize my SUV because I moved into a smaller garage. Traded in my Kia Telluride for a Wrangler and couldn't be happier. Fatima, my sales lady, is a rock-star...she worked very hard and totally in tune with what I needed to accomplish. Will be back when in the market again!

Susie Baldwin is a ROCK STAR! She listened to me on what I wanted and helped me get my new ride! No sales pitch, no changing information, straight and up front with us unlike other dealerships that I won't mention. Treated with respect and will definitely be back to buy from Susie again! I definitely will let my friends and family to go to Dewy Ford in Ankeny and see Susie. Izzy in financing was so kind and explained everything - no heavy sales push to purchase more than what we wanted to spend. LOVE my new Bronco Sport and will be back when my husband needs a new truck! Thank you Susie and Izzy!

Recently bought a vehicle here and I had to take it back in because I lost power while driving due to a wiring issue. Now I have all of these problems. I have called multiple times because my car is still under warrenty and no one will return my calls or answer any questions. Weird. Now I will have to make a 2 hour trip back there, again, to get things figured out. Not even worth one star

My wife and I recently bought a 2021 Ford Raptor, my dream truck and my wife s first Ford. From day one it has been issue after issue with this truck. Most of the issues got fixed . Not really, we are still having issues with it. It feels like issues that should have been inspected and found should ve been fixed. The reason I say that is because when we pick it up from service, immediately another issue starts. We have asked for a discount on some accessories for the truck for our inconvenience but instead got charged more than what Ford has the product listed for on their website. We are very unhappy with our experience at Dewey, we didn t feel heard and we didn t feel like they were problem solvers .

Sue White was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I could tell she actually cared. This was my first time buying a car and she knew how nervous I was, and she really took the time to go over my options and make me feel confident in my decision. I love my new jeep so much! Thanks Sue!! Definitely ask for Sue when youre looking to buy a car!

Purchased a 2021 Ford Edge our salesman Kevin was awesome, he greeted us as we pulled up and spent the whole afternoon helping us find the perfect vehicle. I wish I could say the same about their finance guy Dalton after informing him from the very beginning that we weren't interested in purchasing a warranty he was still very pushy and tried to pressure you into purchasing it had a very bad attitude and became condescending after I told him no for the 4th time almost walked out and derailed the whole sale but I didn't want 30 min of bad from one person to cancel out the whole afternoon of good work of another. I would highly recommend Kevin he got us the vehicle we wanted for the price we wanted and felt like I was dealing with a friend all day not a salesman and I would highly recommend dealing with someone besides Dalton when It comes to signing everything he was the only thing keeping this from a 5 star experience

Had an excellent experience with Sue Wade. She educated us on what the new features were for 2024, making sure that we made a decision that was right for us instead of focusing on her sales goal

I won't be servicing my truck there again. I went in for an oil change. Was told the battery was bad. I declined to have it replaced because I need to check on when I purchased it etc. The truck was having no issues starting either. I bought a motorcraft battery and had it installed at another dealership a while ago. The motorcraft parts are supposed to be warrantied at other dealers though. Anyways it was under the prorated warranty. So I called Heather Beck on the number on her card I was given at the oil change and left a message about replacing it. I didn't hear back that business day nor most of the next. I tried calling again and went to voice-mail. So i just decided to drive in as I was in the area. I saw Heather (on her cell phone didn't seem super busy) there so I went to her. I explained I was there last week for an oil change and said my battery was bad and it is under the 100 month prorated part. It was like there was zero understanding on her part. She was under the impression the batteries weren't warrantied that long. I'm like this particular one is and it's prorated. I'm like it says on the battery. To her credit she did check with the parts people. The parts people verified what I already knew. But then she told me they'd have to test it so I'd have to schedule a test. I'm like you already tested it. You told me it was bad when you tired to get me to buy a new battery. She said the tester they use isn't the same one as the warranty one. Anyways at this I decided it wasn't going to be worth my time to schedule another appointment to get it tested. Though I do wonder what the warranty testing battery tester would have read. They had no issue using a certain one to tell me mine was bad. So that one is apparently good enough to recommend replacing and selling batteries but not honoring warranties. Anyways I'm not going to buy motorcraft parts at this point because if the people working at the dealership aren't familiar with the warranty it's basically not worth anything. Further if they have to use a special tester which requires an appointment it's literally faster to drive to Sam's Club and replace it myself.

I have had an exceptional service experience, even though I bought my truck at Woodhouse (not exceptional servie experience). They are so respectful, helpful and absolutely great at communication and doing everything they can around a timeline that works for you! Best service I have ever experienced anywhere and for anything! My next purchase will certainly be here!!

Only 1 person I'd call to get stuff done. They sell ya an extended warranty that's really not a ford one it's Mainly with them. Try to get anyone to actually talk on the phone that can take weeks as in my case 3wks. Went elsewhere to buy myself my trucks. And after all this I do believe that my fianc will be going somewhere else as well.
