Terry, the store manager helped me diagnose battery issues I was having and went above and beyond in helping me clean corrosion off my battery and educating me in various issues batteries can have. He talked through things to watch out for as I continued to drive the vehicle, and let me know signs I should bring the vehicle in again.

If I could give these guys half a star, I would maybe. A fourth of a star this place at first was OK. the guy was trying to help, but they weren't listening. And they weren't really trying to help instead. We were more of a inconvenience inside their auto parts store and then when I found a solution to our problem by looking at the number on the part, another unhelpful grumpy jerk gets me a tape measure and throws it down and says well, if you have to vin number maybe I can help you. We had spent an hour and a 1/2 in here with these jerks to go across the street and get some the best service I've ever had. So if you're thinking of going to autozone I highly suggest go across the street to Arnold's motor supply.Respect and awesome customer service

Today my truck is a mess from the cold. I did same delivery as I am not from Iowa and don t have people to call on for help. My orders were delivered but I was missing the battery. The driver Melissa said it was AZ fault but she refused to go back. After calling back they found it was in the shelf and they sent the commercial truck to deliver us the battery. Shout out to Brian and the team getting to us quickly and fixing up bringgs mess up.

My experience at Autozone was incredible due to Sales Associate, Reece. After my spouse was pulled over for not having any taillights on, we called the store to see if they would be able to help us. They said they would at least take a look and so we headed there. Reece went above and beyond to help us, and was at one point on the ground with his flashlight, trying to find the circuit box. He troubleshooted and problem solved and ultimately replaced the fuse all while being polite and never making us feel incompetent (though we were in this situation). He then changed out a headlight on my car and never seemed bothered by our requests. We will absolutely be coming back to this AutoZone and we were so grateful for Reece's incredible customer service!(The other sales associate working with Reece was also very helpful. He stayed in the store to make sure everything was being managed but checked in with Reece to offer help/suggestions. All around, a great team!)

Brian is the man!!! Needed a battery and the 1st employee saw my air intake was over the battery. Seemed to stop trying at that point. Told me to go to a shop or a mechanic. Brian was installing another battery at the same time. He told me about the policy and I removed the plastic cover. Brian made a good sale and got returning customers. Thanks for taking the extra second and then going the extra mile. If you come here Brian is autozone!!! Should call this place BrianZone.

A friend of mine needed her headlight replaced and went in and was shown the correct lights and also offered to do them for her and did! I believe his name was Charlie!! He was great and was much appreciated! His customer service was above and beyond and speedy too! #RAISE

Absolutely poor service, staff seemed put out when I asked for help. Incorrect information was provided (all wiper blades come with adapters) staff insisted that he was the expert I said ok. Called the store manager and he asked me to call back the next day and speak with the general manager . Seriously, never doing business with this store again, stay away.

I normally shop in waukee but I was shopping in Ankeny and had to stop in to this AutoZone for a couple items a few days ago . They was short staffed but the crew there was doing the best that they could . One person stood out the most out of the crew a gentleman named Steven . He looked like he was picking some items for other people as he had a cart of items but even between what he was doing he was kind enough to help assist me in finding what I needed on the sales floor . He went above n beyond to help me out when the rest of the crew was just standing around after a small rush of people .I just wanted to say thank u for ur time and effort in assisting me in finding what I was looking for

Brian, at the Ankeny Blvd Auto Zone is aces in our book!!!! He did a marvelous job taking care of us on a very cold day. Our battery(90 days old) wasn t starting my vehicle. He went the extra mile to test it, disconnect and clean the posts. He assured me that they stood by their product. I was so satisfied I spoke with several of the people he works with and expounded to many about the GREAT SERVICE we received on that cold, cold day!! Thank you for hiring Brian. Went in to return a code reader and told him it didn't work he replied, "Did you plug it in?" Um, yes, I may be a woman, but I know how to work a simple code reader. He said like, "Oh well, it could have been a more complicated code if that makes sense." It may be surprising, but my tiny little woman brain can comprehend simple things. Do better.

Top notch customer service. Thank you! I needed a new battery. The gentleman helped me pick out the one I needed and installed it right away for me, no waiting. There was no extra charge for the install unlike other places here in town. Very efficient and friendly service.

I was having car trouble and pulled into Autozone. Luckily they had what I needed. However, when I was attempting my repair (in their parking lot) I ran into issues getting the replacement part in place. One of their associates named Brandon was on his break and came over and assisted me. That employee going the extra mile to assist meant the world to me.

Battery died went there because I had to. Tried to sell me a battery I didn't need. Couldn't tell me what size wrench was necessary for battery terminal. Bought adjustable.

Mark was so helpful today when I was looking to replace one of the light bulbs on my car. Really appreciate how easy it was for him to find the right replacement. Great price too!! So glad I stopped here!

Went in for a new headlight after being told at another store they couldn t replace it for me. They replaced it in less than 5 minutes and were extremely helpful and friendly. Never had a problem and they ve always been amazing!

When I encounter great customer service I like to point that out. I bought a new battery yesterday and was helped by Roscoe who was not only prompt and knowledgeable, but very personable and a joy to talk with while he helped swap out my battery. This is the second time with two separate people that I've had a remarkably great experience here. Thank you!

I recently replaced my windshield wipers in Florida and the passenger side blew off on my way to Iowa. While Gabe was installing the new wiper for me he noticed the driver s side was missing a pin. I had no idea. I am so thankful that he took the time to help me!

Surprised these ppl can even tell the difference between a lawn mower and a truck the two managers there we're telling me how I was wrong on a part that the female had helped me with just the other day and gave me the right part so I went back to get more of these parts for my car knowing they were right and the guys wouldn't budge from telling me that it was the wrong part even after I physically showed them they were wrong. I wish I had got her name cuz she was great never will I ever go to another AutoZone advance Auto parts here I come

I went in and needed a new light bulb for my headlight and I had no idea if it was low beam or high beam and the lady helping me put on her coat and went outside to check with me to make sure I got the correct bulb. What great customer service with a positive attitude!!

Visited on 12/31/2021On a road trip and ran into heater issues in the car (right before a big winter storm, of course!) While the staff did not seem overly knowledgeable to our needs (not even having car manuals available for reference) they did have the parts we were looking for in order to attempt to fix the issue.

Update 5/6/2020. The store manager refunded the 2nd charge without issues. I am updating the review from 1/5 to 4/5 stars.Old 5/5/2020. I ordered and paid online for my wife to pick up a car battery for a 2016 Honda Civic. My wife arrived and clarified to the male employee at the register that she was picking up an order that her husband made. My wife stated it was under my name. Regardless, he confused my wife (he read off my name and the order) and had her unknowingly pay for it AGAIN. In the end, my wife saw on her bank account the charge for the online order $188.67 AND the physical store purchase $192.37 of the same item. Why would I want to get charged for the same thing?The online order break down costs: $159.99 for the battery, $18.00 for the core charge, and tax $10.68. Total: $188.67.The physical store break down costs: $159.99 for the battery, $3.49 for battery installation kit, and $18.00 for the core charge, then tax $10.89. Total $192.37.I want a refund of the physical store charge, and will be returning the installation kit.
