My family and I moved from Colorado to Ankeny in late 2019 and we were looking for a local reliable mechanic. We explored several options and were extremely impressed with Bill and his team at Aim High Automotive. Very knowledgeable staff and extremely patient and understanding with our questions and concerns. We appreciate the upfront and honest feedback we get before they start the service. No upselling and very trustworthy. Aim High Automotive has exceeded our expectations and we would definitely recommend to our friends and family in the area.

This place was recommended to me by some good friends I work with. Bill is great! He puts 110% into everything he (and his team) works on and he tells you the truth. He doesn't try to oversell you on anything and he has really great prices. Please go to him. Aim High is one of the only places I trust with my vehicle. I was blown away because I have never had a mechanic talk to me like I was a human being with a brain. They also have a great playlist for their technicians. My truck was at the local dealership for over a month and they weren't making much progress (racked up a considerable bill). A friend recommended Aim High; I had to haul the truck over an hour but it was totally worth it! They had it fixed sooner than expected and I couldn't be happier! I have used Aim High for any jobs that are out of my skill and expertise because the guys here have the experience and knowledge you come to expect and want in a business. They are honest, timely, hard working, and have your best interest in mind. I cannot say enough good things about Aim High automotive, especially the owner Bill. Unfortunately I had a couple issues with my vehicle throughout the year. I was referred to Aim High, not only is Bill an expert at what he does, but he's ethical and trustworthy. Which is means everything when it comes to your finances. Aim High Automotive sets an exceptional standard within the industry. Growing up with family that has highly skilled mechanics, I'm very skeptical on who I let work on my vehicles. Moving to Ankeny and no longer having time to work on them myself, I knew I needed to find someone I can trust. I've heard great things about Aim High Automotive and thought it was worth giving them a shot.After several appointments, I couldn't be happier with my decision. Bill and his team are immensely knowledgeable, showcase integrity, and provide excellent communication. Moving forward they will be the only shop that works on my personal and business's vehicles. Soo a few things. I m from out of town and needed a seal replaced.. they were super fast, and efficient, they didn t give me a stupid run around about a quote, they didn t up charge me it was actually less than anticipated. I always get nervous because when you leave a mechanic, it feels like you leave worse off than when you came (same with your wallet) lol well here that s not the case! So grateful for these guys. Great experience! They are very knowledgeable and straightforward. Their prices are the best I have found and again I think that goes back too them being precise on the issues with vehicles and not focused on all the fluff that bigger chain stores try to slip in. I have used aim high several times in the past years on 4 different vehicles. I have had nothing but positive experiences with this company. Vehicle maintenance can be frustrating but it's nice to know who to call when it comes up.Thanks

This place embodies what a mechanic should be. I broke down on the interstate and took it to another mechanic where they ran diagnostics and handed me a hefty bill. I went to AIM High to get a second opinion and man am I thankful for them. They made sure they got to the root of the problem. They recommended taking it to a dealership because of the problem specific to my car, but they didn't even charge me. Just goes to show how much they really value helping others and doing an excellent job. I am not from Ankeny and am only here for the summer but I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that lives here.Service: General repairs & maintenance

One Thursday night, two lights of my Honda minivan lighted up. Although I know very little about cars, I knew that I couldn't drive it to the Honda dealer, which is about 15 miles away. I had to find a car repair shop nearby. I was super nervous since I knew little about cars and not sure whether I will be asked for too much for the diagnosis and repair. Friday morning, I searched online and found Aim High Automotive with all 5 star reviews. I read some of them and found the words like "honest", "fair price" ,"quick", "treat customer's car as their own" etc, which made me relieved and decided to call Aim High. I was told that I could bright my car in and they could work on it that morning. After I met Bill when bring my car in, I felt more relieved and had a peaceful mind. He is very kind and he trusts his customer. They repaired my car and replaced the tires in several hours. From my experience, Aim high deserves all of the good words that the customers wrote in their reviews. I highly recommend Aim High Automotive. Thank you, Bill!

I was in a bind and they made no effort to get my car in to look at it or made no effort to try to help. He was rude and said they might be able to Fri but they really don t like to work late so probably not. I would not recommend this place at all and find someone else that actually wants to help people.

I moved to Ankeny about a year ago, and when I saw that Aim High was just down the street from my house, and read their stellar reviews, I knew I had to give them a try. It was one of the best decisions I ve ever made. Bill Doyle is the owner of the company, but he doesn t just sit behind a desk and tell people what to do, he is personally involved with repairs as well. They are a small, family owned business, and they are great people who treat their customers with respect every time. Though they are extremely popular and have many customers, they will always get you on their schedule within a reasonable timeframe, and if they have an opening sooner than your scheduled appointment, they will call you and try to get you in early. They are swift with repairs, while still maintaining accuracy and quality, they always make sure that you have your car back when you need it, with everything taken care of.I trust Bill and his team completely, and the quality of their work is top-notch. They have provided absolutely amazing service to me, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic they can trust. Their prices are fair and reasonable, and unlike other mechanics I ve been to, they are always honest about what needs to be fixed on your vehicle. If they find something that needs fixed that wasn t expected, Bill or a member of his team will always call you first to make sure you want to proceed with fixing the problem, rather than doing it without your permission. If you ve gotten an estimate from another mechanic and something seems fishy, go to Aim High and ask them to do their own free estimate to make sure it seems right. Whether you have a problem with your vehicle, just need a routine oil change, or anything in between, Aim High Automotive is the place to get it done right for a fair price. I will never take my vehicle anywhere else again!
