My neighborhood car wash just installed solar panels. Not just on their west roof but on the east roof too. This will make me feel even better about washing my car. Now I know that some of the energy to wash it will be coming from on-site solar generation. I hope other businesses and homeowners will follow their lead and put solar panels on their roofs. This is a great place to get a car wash too. They have completely touchless bays which are great for not getting swirl marks and other paint abrasions due to brushes.

It s a nice quiet place and if you wash yourself , it is cheap ($6-7)and your car gets sparkly clean !!Also environmentally better to wash here than your own driveway.Only the thing is each tool(washing hose, soap brush and air dryer )is quite apart each other, that takes your time. Be aware.

This is the 2nd time I have gone to wash my car and found out after paying that there was no soap. There was nothing to rinse off, so I just sprayed water the whole time. My car looks just as dirty as before, but it's just kind of wet.You might strain your back opening the doors, and there is no rope to pull them down to close them. Only taller people can close them.Money wasted.

Very good car wash. It would be nice if the dryer ran for about 2 minutes longer. I always have to hand dry my vehicle afterwards.

Always a great value. I can wash my car or my truck, including clear coat in the amount of time given when I deposit $5. The vacuum cleaners are only $1 and lasted longer than I needed to do the whole interior. Seriously, I hung the hose up and it was still running. Also, handy, located behind the North Casey's (the one at Bloomington and Stange).

I've been pleased with the Sudsational Auto Wash in Ames every time I visit. You'll have the occasional bay being down for maintenance, but it is maintained well and issues are fixed quickly. The owners do an excellent job responding to phone calls and e-mails, and make themselves available to fix any issues you may have.All in all, a great experience, good car wash that works every time, and in a convenient easy to find location. It's also always clean and well-maintained, landscaped well, and the building itself looks fairly nice, matching the generally upscale feel of the neighborhood it's in.

The wash does a fair enough job, but there is no attendant on site to resolve issues and I've yet to get a callback for messages left the number posted at the wash. The first time I used the wash, I paid with a $10 and $5 bill to pay for the $12 wash. A receipt was printed for the $3 difference. I took the receipt to caseys and was told they couldn't refund it because it's not part of the store. So I then left several messages to find out how to redeem the refund ticket but after several calls with no return, I gave up... After all it's only $3. This past weekend we thought we'd give it another try. This time I chose the $9 wash and brought exact change to avoid the problem I'd had before. After putting the money in the machine, it only recognized $8 of it and would not accept change for the other dollar. Reluctantly, I chose the "print refund receipt" option, it said it was printing but apparently the printer was out of paper. If there hadn't been cars behind me, I would he just went elsewhere. Instead I ended up using my debit card to buy a wash. I called the posted number from the lot. I have now left 2 messages requesting a callback to find out how to get my $9 refunded with no return calls. It's really unfortunate that there is never an attendant available, if there were some customer service available it would be a decent wash. Update 10/4/17- not only did I never receive the refund promised but today there are parts of the wash lying on the ground in the bay. I had to get out of my car to move them before I could even go into the car wash.

I don't go to this car wash anymore because it doesn't get the dirt off my car. I have to go to another car wash with a higher pressure washer to remove the dirt. They don't have air driers in the manual wash bays also.

Even when there is a line, the trip through the wash is quick. Love the complimentary towels to dry, spray cleaners and the vacuums.

The timers for the dryer are not set up, and have not been for months. I called and spoke with Ted last week to let him know and he told me he would get them working immediately, but he assured me that the dryers run for 80 seconds. I went through the wash again today and the timers are still not working but I started a timer on my phone to make sure I made it all the way through this time without half of my truck being wet. The dryers shut off at 70 seconds. I called Ted again today to let him know about the problem and that I wouldn t be coming back. His response - thanks for your past business. **UPDATE** 9/18/2019These issues are still not fixed! Do not waste your money. The car wash next to Jiffy Lube on Duff is 100x better and they will rewash your car if it is not cleaned to your satisfaction.

I ran my white Lexus through the soft touch $10 car wash. It came out covered with brown stains that were not water soluble! I spent an entire hour removing the stains, inch by inch, with a bug and tar remover. I know the stains were not there before I used the car wash, because I had inspected it when I removed bugs from the front bumper, grill and outside mirrors. The stains covered the hood, driver's side, trunk and roof.This is my second negative experience with this car wash, and I will NEVER patronize it again!!

One star, deserves zero stars! WARNING: if you put $20 bill in slot for wash, instead of change you get a piece of paper saying, get refund from attendant. Guess what? No attendants!!!! Thankfully Casey's gave a cash refund and they don't even own the car wash. Casey's said they get complaints all the time from car wash patrons.

It got the top of my car very clean but didn't even touch the front bumper. This wash might be fine for some models of car, but apparently not a Prius.

Ended up at the wash after shopping and got ripped off! $14.00 I could ve spent else were; hit mirror on my boyfriend s truck and told us to exit. Would suggest going somewhere else in town.

This place will over charge you if you use a card. The amount displayed on the machines is not what your card will be charged. Slimy.

I HAVE USED THIS WASH SINCE IT OPENED AS I COULD NOT FIND A TRULY "SPOT FREE RINSE" ON OUR BLACK CARS. THIS WASH SEEMS TO HAVE A GOOD ONE. THEY HAVE A VALUE CARD AVAILABLE THAT CAN'T BE BEAT. I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO TAKES PRIDE IN THEIR VEHICLES TO GIVE THIS WASH A TRY. OH, ONE MORE THING, THEY ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE AND ENCOURAGE YOUR COMMENTS........

Highly recommend the self service car wash!
