Last week I ran into major issues with my vehicle- my brake pad fell out amongst a plethora of other things wrong with my car. Personally, I ve never handled anything car related on my own. I have always had my dad or my brother handle it on my behalf. When I called Ron s Auto Repair Center I made it known I had no idea what I was doing. Unlike other shops, Ron s did not take advantage of this or try to steer me in the wrong direction. They thoroughly explained what was wrong with my vehicle and gave their honest opinion. If I had any questions (I had a lot), they answered it in a way I understood. I cannot thank them enough for all of the help. They are thorough, genuinely care about their customers, and are willing to go above and beyond. My experience with them has been nothing but great, and I will most definitely be going to Ron s for any of my car needs. Couldn t recommend it more!

I had my car and pickup truck in there for repairs and regular maintenance; I had an appointment, for things that I needed done and with vehicle inspections found things that I suspected but they confirmed with the inspection with pictures.I dropped off my car and it was Done that afternoon so I exchanged it for my truck and it was Done 2days (more stuff to fix) later. Very Happy with the service and ability to get the work done in a timely manner!!!Price: $$$. Hey; Things & Labor cost more nowadays Thanks to President O Biden but I believe to be reasonable ( 20 yr old vehicles and things wear out & age out). Both vehicles have been in here 2 yrs ago and the service was Great then tooOverall: Very Satisfied

it s hard for privately owned companies, or any company, to be this self-accountable and accountable to the public in an seemingly instantaneous online manner - have a lot of respect for the way things are being run here and for the people putting in the work. Literally the nicest people. I had a blown ignition fuse a few months ago which they fixed for a decent price and fast. I had noticed my car acting strange, similar to how it was before it gave out. It made me nervous so I asked them to look at it. They test drove it for a few days and gave me a courtesy car no charge. I haven t had issues with it since they checked and gave me some advice. Best auto shop!

I got second opinions for many parts of my quote, for issues unrelated to the reason I brought my car in. I was quoted $153 for air filter replacements that costed me approximately $50 to do myself. An oil change was quoted as $122. A transmission fluid exchange was quoted as $326 and a power steering fluid exchange was quoted as $140. The other 2 mechanics I took it to stated these services did not need done, and both of my fluids were fine (the power steering fluid reservoir did need a small amount of fluid added in). It s disappointing to still see shops overcharging and taking advantage of women who may not know what to look for when being scammed.

I have taken my car here multiple times for issues ranging from a full transmission replacement to a simple oil change. They are always near the phone to answer any questions you may have and have even offered me a ride home after I dropped my car off before! The service department is very knowledgeable and open to answering questions as well. Prompt service with fair pricing. They were very understanding when I had some scheduling issues, and they got my car done as soon as possible. They made it super easy to pick it up before Thanksgiving break, and I really speculated their communication. Thanks Ron s Auto!!

Very quick to fix my van. Just thought $430 to change a serpentine belt was a little expensive. But, all in all, they did do a good job.

Ron s is amazing! My car was towed into them due to battery issues. They were able to diagnose the issue, send estimates and get the car back to me in less than 30 hours! I was on the road headed home to Oklahoma when my check engine light started flashing. I took next exit and ended up close to Ron s. It was a Sunday and all auto shops were closed. I spent the night at hotel and showed up at Ron s at 8. I explained my situation and they got right to work checking out my car. They brought out the broken parts and explained to me what needed to be fixed. They were able to fix it and get me back on the road by 10. Price was right and car ran great all the way home. I really appreciate you guys! Highly recommend!Service: Engine repair

I really trust this business. I love the texts I receive on my vehicle and the options I have if they suggest to have work on something else based on the free Inspection they conduct. Ron s auto repair was entrusted with my sons vehicle and his friends. Both are local wrestlers at Iowa State. Ron and his crew took care of their vehicles and we highly recommend his services. My car overheated while driving on the highway and blew a radiator hose. I had it towed to Ron's as they were an AAA preferred shop. They were able to look at it the next business day and easily replaced the burst hose. The staff were prompt with communication and I really enjoyed receiving updates via text message. However, I have to give them a less than perfect review as they were not able to determine the root cause of the overheating. When I picked my car up they blamed the overheating on the broken hose, even though I had explained that my car was overheating prior to the hose bursting. After that they tried to say I was probably low on coolant, however I had checked the coolant that same day and knew it was at an appropriate level. My overheating issues continued so I brought my car to another mechanic and they found the thermostat housing was cracked. They replaced the housing and thermostats and my overheating issues were resolved. I see a vast majority of the reviews here are positive, so I am sure this was a one-off and not the norm at this shop. But nonetheless I am not happy that I had to spend $670 at Ron's and then the following week have to spend $500 at another mechanic for this problem to be fixed.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My truck broke down on me and I had it towed to Ron's off the highway. Long story short,they looked my true over and informed me in Minnesota that my truck was safe there and it was ok to leave it parked there. It was a month before I retrieved my truck safe. These guys are for real,they truly care

Very quick! Had front end work done and wheel bearings. Had my car back the following day! They took the time and went through other things that needed attention to! Walked me threw what needed done! Very professional and kind people! Pricing was fair for the work that was done! I would recommend them to anyone needing car repairs done!

I am a new customer. I was able to schedule service very quickly. The service technician inspected the entire vehicle and provided a link to the inspection report with recommended work to be performed, what work could wait, and why. I had my front break pads and rotors replaced. Everything seems great, I will use Ron's auto in the future.Service: Brakes
