My family and I were on a road trip going through Iowa and we blew a tire, we called BIG O TIRES and told them our situation and asked if they could fit us in. They were kind, patient and had great customer service! They got us in right away and in a timely manner! AWESOME job and I highly recommend BIG O TIRES!!

They got me in last minute for an oil change. I mentioned my check engine light was on and ask for them to check it out. Oil change was done quickly and they found the issue with engine light and fixed that. Super friendly, super fun environment, felt like I was getting my car worked on with friends. Super good experience! Will definitely go here again.

Great team at Big O Tires, professional and friendly while getting the job done. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon needing to switch out a tire before heading out of town. Kaley and Michael got my car in the same day and the work was done at a reasonable price.

I've patronized this establishment three times. The first time I made an appointment, brought my vehicle in at the scheduled time, and then returned when I was told the work would be completed. Not only had they not even started at that point, but the person behind the counter, "Corvette", seemed utterly incapable of taking any positive action to rectify the situation. The manager intervened, prioritized my vehicle, told me that he was trying to build a business and reputation and did what he could to fix the situation.2nd visit - everything went fine, service was completed quickly and efficiently.3rd visit. Just like the first. Tremendous waste of my personal time, vehicle not even started on by the promised completion time, utterly incapable front counter staff unable to intervene in any meaningful way with the manager absent, and the issue with the vehicle was not solved. It was a headlight bulb replacement, and the mechanic didn't ever bother to try the second of the two bulbs I provided before dismissing it as a "wiring problem" that would require a repeat business. I wrote to the manager asking a resolution, never received a response. Perhaps a significant downgrade in the Google rating will prompt a reaction.

Best experience i have had for auto maintenance. They even fixed something that another shop had overlooked. Midas had done a tire rotation that caused one wheel to rub and grind because my car had one wheel that was different. Midas did not even inform me they had done a rotation or i would have mentioned the different wheel. When i told them the car could barely move and something was grinding, they said its nothing they did and they refused to even take a look at it. They said i would need to pay for a diagnostic because they only took off a wheel to check brakes. Since they were unwilling to have a conversation or even disclose what they did, i took it to big o who has always treated me right. They rotated the tires so they actualy moved freely like they should and i will never be going back to midas. Big o for life!

I noticed a slow leak in my tire. I was able to make an appointment the very next day and they fixed me up while I waited. Every interaction was friendly and helpful, and the owner and workers clearly care very much about customers. Thank you!!

Called in and booked a wheel alignment for 11am. On the phone and when I arrived, I was told 1 to 1.5 hours to get it done. So I waited. Car was actually pulled up on the lift after about an hour, clamps fitted....and then nothing. After 2.5 Hours of watching my car just sit there, I asked and was told they are about the start on it - but by then I had to leave so I asked for it to be pulled. Made another appointment for the Monday, but this time dropped it off (was again assured that it will be done in time) and returned at the end of the day. When we arrived it was again on the lift with the clamps attached. When I asked, I was again told they are about to start on it - after the whole day! I have work related meetings and this is not acceptable (especially considering the two and a half hours already wasted on Saturday as a result of empty promises - perhaps I should invoice you for my time?), so again had it pulled.On Saturday, I fully understand that not having that many people around COULD be a reason, but after having the car for the whole day, all I get was a "sorry about that" and a shrugged shoulder. Will not recommend to others - make the drive down to Des Moines it will save you time.

What a positive experience with Big O! Clean shop, great service, great people, and great prices. What more could you ask for? The manager Shawn was especially helpful in diagnosing and reprogramming my TPMS sensors after the light came on. I will definitely be back

Shawn was fantastic, my tire blew on Interstate 39, fifteen miles south of Ames. He quickly found the tire I needed and had someone pick it up before my car (towed in) and I arrived. His team was also was able remove the stripped lug nut and replace it at a very reasonable rate. Shawn treated me like family. I highly recommend Big O Tires.

Had a punctured tire, was able to drop it off and pick it up the next day, despite them being super busy. 10/10 service from Shawn, super friendly. Clean waiting room and restrooms. Will be my first choice next time!

Recently had a car battery go dead during some extreme cold weather. Drove all around Ames and nobody had the right battery in stock. Finally was referred to Big O and they were able to order a battery from the supplier and have it delivered to the store within 30 minutes and installed it quickly once it arrived. Even though they were extremely busy (full waiting room and the phone never stopped ringing), they made the time to order and install the battery very quickly.

Shawn hooked me up with some tires and one of the mechanics who was working in my vehicle found a broken shock. They informed me of this and gave me the option to fix it but suggested I go through warranty with my 3rd party dealer. This tells me that they are truly looking out for my safety as well as getting me the best affordable deals. I will happily recommend Big O to my friends and family for anything mechanically related. Because they are not just a tire shop! They do mechanical maintenance as well!

My recent experience with this Big O Tires location has left me amazed. While driving through to Minnesota, we suddenly had a flat tire, and it couldn t have happened at a worse time. We pulled into Big O Tires in a bit of a panic.Not only were they quick to assist, but they also replaced our spare tire at no cost. The staff was incredibly helpful and saved the day. Their kindness and generosity were truly appreciated.This unexpected act of kindness speaks volumes about the exceptional service and commitment of Big O Tires. They turned a stressful situation into a positive and memorable experience. Kudos to Shawn and the team for going above and beyond!

Very bad customer service. I had an appointment and been waiting in the waiting area for over 30 minutes. Everyone who came after me got done and they didn t even say sorry about the delay. I had to leave without getting the service I needed. Very disappointed and won t recommend this location to anyone.

6 bays with an Alignment bay..definitely a 1-stop shop on all of your car needs. Clean and friendly atmosphere
