My daughter's car was having battery trouble and I was greeted immediately when I walked in and they explained everything I needed. I was able to get her car there and they fixed it in the snow and made sure I was taken care of. They took a stressful situation and made it easy. I highly recommend them!

I've been coming to this Advance Auto Parts for years and every time the employees have gone above and beyond to help me.Today I stopped by to get my check engine light code. My car had a rough idle and stalled at a stop. The shop was a clean, organized, and friendly environment. A guy named Tanner helped me right away. He diagnosed, trouble shot, located the vacuum leak, and replaced the degraded hose ALL WITHIN 10 MINUTES (in 90+ degree heat)! Outstanding service, friendly, professional.

Amazing customer service! The crew helped get my car running after it died in the parking lot. When they didn't have the part I needed, they called around and told me who could get one for me.

They need more help. Couldn't print receipt. Waited 25 min to check out due to only one employee. Then he looked up and gave us the wrong oil filter. Was to far of a drive to return so that stunk. Don't normally write real negative stuff but this was bad on alot of levels.

I m not sure of either of the employees names but today 2/26 at around 2:45 I went to get a headlight for my car, they got me the right one, when I went to change it I unknowingly went to change the high beam and even went back to the store and exchanged out the headlights for the ones I thought I needed. I went out in front of the store and started to change it and one of the employees came out and asked very kindly if I knew that I was changing my high beams and not the regular headlights, and I didn t. They then re-exchanged those lights again and were very kind to me the whole time, never making me feel dumb or anything. They deserve raises. Awesome job.

Absolutely horrible! I went in on saturday 9/3 to get motor oil because my car was low. I asked the clerk, who was the only one there at the moment, to help me get oil. He grabbed it from the shelves for me and after I filled my oil, I went to get more and saw the pricetag listed less than what I was charged for! I brought this up to him, Samuel, and he said at least it wasn t more of a difference this apparently happens a lot! He had no idea how to fix it, so he asked his coworker, Briana, who had just shown up about it. She was the most rude, disrespectful employee I ve ever seen. First, when she got there she immediately said out loud I should have stayed home and second, had a plate of food out on the counter where people check out, third, she was incredibly rude to the person she was checking out, and lastly was horrible to her coworker when he asked how to change the price. She couldn t stop sighing whenever he asked something and said I should have stayed home at least 5 times. No one likes to work on weekends, I get it, but get over yourself! You re the one who signed up for the job. Do NOT come here!

The GM Tanner is the best, scanned my car found the problem and even helped me fix it all while having a great humor, you can tell he s GM for a reason.

Got a new battery for my car from them today, hoping that they would be willing to put it on for me as they wrote on their website. But they didn't, saying that it would take half an hour. I had to borrow their tools and install it myself. One employee came out to help me identify the correct tool, and that made me feel better. One suggestion: DON'T MAKE FALSE PROMISES.

Called earlier in the day about their advertised free battery installation and was planning on buying a battery from them, but once I arrived was told they would not put the new battery in for me because it was "so late and so cold outside." Pretty lame excuse considering your store hours state you're open until 9, doesn't seem late to me when I arrive at 5pm. Won't be coming back as the employees were very rude and unprofessional, seemed like they didn't want to do their job. I will spend my money elsewhere.

I had the best experience ever in a parts store. The lady behind the counter drove from Sioux City to Ames to cover someone that didn't make it to work. That alone would put a person in a bad mood not this woman. I am a car dummy and have a hard time explaining what I am after. This employee was the most patient, knowledgeable, courteous person EVER!!! Most times parts store people do not know what customer service is about or they just dont care. She made my day and now Advance Auto Parts has a loyal customer.

I'm a trained mechanic and have been buying pretty much all of my car parts and supplies here for years now. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. They get me what I need for a reasonable price to keep my 20+ year old Subaru hatchback running smooth.

I went to Advance Auto Parts based on the website statement that the battery I chose was an exact fit for my Chevy Equinox and that they would install it for free. When I got to the store, they said they would not install it. It's the same story as in other posts. The website is misleading if not downright dishonest. Don't promise what you won't deliver! I bought a battery from someone else and will never return to Advance Auto Parts.

The people here are always helpful. Whenever my engine light comes on, I take it here and a worker is happy to scan the codes (for free) and help me troubleshoot the issue. They don't make me feel pressured into buying something, either. All of them I have met enjoy their job and want to help!

Not the friendliest to the customers and they charged a lot for a good new battery but they got the job done and helped install the battery in freezing weather. Didn t wear a mask the whole time either! Appreciate the help but please work on customer service skills!

Best prices for mechanical parts on american vehicles. Variety of brand options and price points. However they lack parts for my European cars. And sometimes they can be a bit more expensive for Electrical parts than Autozone. Both places are better than o reileys though.

Greg was awesome we are in town from Sioux City helping our daughter move her stuff in for college and he helped by borrowing us tools and letting us fix truck in parking lot(no mess was made)

Went to buy batteries for my mobility scooter yesterday. The guy said he had the batteries I needed then when my daughter went to buy the batteries he said if they didn t work to bring them back. Then after they were paid for said he thought the batteries would work but could not be returned if they had been connected. The batteries did not work and he refused to refund my money and also refused to give me back my other batteries. I asked if a manager was there and he said yes so I asked to talk to the manager and after putting me on hold told me to call back tomorrow to take to manager. Never mind the fact that I am disabled and my scooter is my way to get around should I have to leave my apartment.

Order number 279107259. That part numbers I picked up from the online order did not match. I made a special trip to this town to pick up and now have to make a special trip trip and make sure they give me the right part number

Firstly the product did not fit my 2003 TL even though the website suspiciously said it would. When I picked it up it had some tape on the packaging and it was entirely obvious that someone has opened it and returned it. When I tried returning it the guy named Daevon did the return. He seemed very unhappy about doing it telling me that the item is going to go void anyway when I was giving him all of the parts. He said that normally they don't do that and his attitude made me feel entirely unwelcome and as if I was entirely out of line. I explained to him the packaging situation and his facial expression was whatever dude. Needless to say this store lost my business for good.

Store did not open till 8:15 girl came in with attitude and insisted of saying sorry running a little late she took her time coming to the front and said, what do you want, I had put in an online order other wise I would have just walked out. Not shopping there anymore.

Service was Swift and they had the parts I needed. I like Advanced auto over the other chains. Of they don't have the part you need they can usually get it the next day and if you order early in the morning they sometimes can get it same day. Prices are comparable other chains with slight difference up or down.

It's nice that they take used motor oil however I was disappointed that the brand choices for 0W40 oil was very limited.

Had a starter problem that incapacitated my vehicle in single digit temps and snow falling, right at closing. Devin saved my tail after the store across the street to the north stiffed me (had called ahead; got there before published closing to find the door locked and nobody answering phone). We called Advance and Devin agreed to stick around a couple minutes and unlocked the door (it was AFTER closing by the time we got there) to sell me a starter. I've always gotten along fine with anything I bought here before, but this was A++ customer service. Thanks, Devin!
