I stayed 2 nights here. Didn't even know it was available until I checked a wider area for motels in the Washington, IA area. The place is clean, comfortable and Brenda makes you feel like it is your home! I arrived late and Brenda was up to show me the room, bathroom and wanted to know what time I would need coffee and breakfast. I had a busy weekend, so, I didn't take advantage of the breakfast or coffee, but, it was nice to know it was available. This was my first B&B experience since 2002, and it was excellent. If you need a place to stay in between Sigourney, Iowa City, Muscatine and Mt. Pleasant, this is the place to stay.

Brenda has a beautiful, large home that is immaculately maintained inside and out. The inside of the home has original wood that shines and many period pieces throughout. It is beautifully decorated and feels like home. She is very welcoming and wants to do whatever she can to make your stay comfortable and special. She values you as a person, not a customer! She has many breakfast options and is a wonderful cook. Can't say enough how great it was to spend a day and night in her home!

What an exceptional experience. I stayed three nights and Brenda was as hospitable and accommodating as one can be. Amazing, amazing, amazing stay. I would recommend Brenda's home to anyone who wants to get far from the meddling crowd for a few days or more. The bed was comfortable, my room and the shared bathroom was clean, and linens were clean.

Brenda was a perfect hostess! She planned her afternoon around my arrival and upgraded me so I wouldn't be bothered by some fall bugs. The house was charming and immediately felt like a home away from home! I will definitely be planning a trip back to this lovely B&B nestled in the quiet Iowa countryside. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

It was a year ago yesterday that I arrived at the bed and breakfast. I had just moved here from Arizona and this was my home for 3 months. Brenda made missing my family and starting a new job so much easier. Much of rest of my family has since moved here and consider Brenda part of the family. My granddaughters love going to the"farm"as often as possible to see Aunt Brenda and feed the animals!

Our small family had the privilege of staying with Brenda in early March. She was amazing: she met us outside in her drive on a blustery wintery evening and bustled us into her charming world of rural Iowa cozy after a hard day of across country driving. To say she made us feel at home and was conscious to every need or want was the understatement of our trip! She is gracious and accommodating at every turn. Don't miss this gem! Even go out of your way to stay at this B&B--Brenda's labor of love is worth your drive & time. You will be glad you experienced Iowa at its loveliest!

Our stay with Brenda was top of the line! The facility was clean and well-kept. The service Brenda provided far exceeded our expectations! The property, with the animals was my daughter's favorite for sure. As we were leaving, my daughter stated, "This will be a five star review for sure!"If we are ever back this way we will definitely be booking a stay!

We just returned from a trip to southeastern Iowa with two night stay at this bed and breakfast... and it exceeded my expectations. Brenda's home is the perfect setting for a comfortable get away and she is an excellent host. We were treated like we were close family. We will be back!

I made the reservation on the phone the week prior. Brenda met me at the front door. I was the only guest for one night. Love the area its in. A nice farm with animals and great outdoor feel. My only problem was having to stay just one night. I wish I could have stayed longer. The room was neatly kept with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent.A world class experience.

Great place to stay, very reasonably priced. Brenda is the friendliest hostess you'll ever meet, and she makes an excellent breakfast... with eggs from her own chickens! I highly recommend this bed & breakfast.

What a gracious host. Brenda was very informed with the area around her place and did her best to help us find attractions for the family. Also a good sense of humor about my wife and Son's OCD about the TP.. Thank you we will be back!!!

I hope the owner, Brenda, will share some of the wonderful journal entries we read on the morning before we left. Pages of praise with gratitude and deservedly so! We never imagined we were in for such incredible treatment! I didn't even want to be there, to be honest. It was a surprise from my husband, but I would have been happier in a hotel room with a remote. I THOUGHT! So glad I was wrong.

I went there because it was convenient but was so charmed by the house, the proprietor, and the animal filled grounds I would go out of my way to visit again! Brenda is awesome!! The breakfast was fantastic! Coffee was plentiful!

An excellant place to stay with beatiful rooms. Exuberant staff and a lovely breakfast home made right on the farm. The kids love the animals. A great place to escape the lousy noises of the city.

Didn't stay due to having too many animals on the property because I am scared of all animals but Ms. Brenda was very nice, polite, and welcoming. The place was very nice.
