I'm just going to say this I have bought 2 cars from these people they are crooks! I have had to replace the suspension on both my cars you tell them about a problem and they don't want to listen too you and I have always called about the problems I have had and they just fix what they think they should I just took my 2012 Chevy equinox there to have them check it out and supposably they found the control arm on the passenger side going out cool let me pay the 500 dollars to get fixed then I take it on the high way and it makes the same noises so I call them back and voice my opinion in the nicest way possible and I told them I didn't pay my rent because my car needed to be safe to take it to work to pay my rent and Angela tells me to bring it back Monday well I go in and the first thing I walk into is them telling me they are not working on my car anymore because im a rude and disrespectful for telling them there was something else wrong and to not buy a car from them again because they just make sure cars are drivable and not perfect. Another thing they didn't tell me when I was asked if the car had been in a wreck and they kept telling me no welp I looked on Experian account and It definitely had been in a wreck in 2020 before I got and I basically got told it's life and to deal with! Come too fine out the other ball joint in the other lower control arm was bout to bust the sway bar links bolt is definitely loose and moving and hmmm need struts also!! So I do not recommend buying a car from these crooks unless u wanna be spending thousands of dollars out of pocket to get more money out of you I definitely will be talking to my loan people about these people run their car store also! Have a nice day

I am so pleased with my 2013 Chevy Avalanche! I purchased it on 2/11/2013. I scrutinized Google for nearly two months, until I came across The Car Store. The price was reasonable, and the vehicle was in near pristine condition. I had people at work wondering how I was affording a "new" truck. Yes, there was a fluke malfunction with an oil sending unit @ one hour away near Grinnell. Admittedly, I was upset at the time, but Angella and Dustin made good on the deal by covering the repair bill (Luckily, too, I was one mile away from Wes Finch Chevy's garage in Grinnell). In spite of these hurdles, I would not be afraid to take another four-hour one-way drive to Adel to purchase another vehicle: they are honest!

Angela and Dustin were so helpful and friendly. Cars are fairly priced, they can answer all your questions. Not pushy at all. Had a great credit company to work with us and gave us a fair price on trade our trade. Even helpful after the sale fixing a small issue on the car for free. Highly recommend checking out this smallest family owned business for a great usedvehicle.

Dustin was amazing, as was the owner! They worked hard to make sure I got a fair deal. Dustin was very personable and took time to make sure this was the purchase I really wanted to make. He cared about what I needed and what I wanted. Which is very rare now days with a car salesman. I would hands down recommend to any friends and family.

And when some issues with the bank came up, he went out off his way to make sure to do everything in his power to help. I recently purchased a 2004 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L from Dustin. My husband and I had been searching for this specific Jeep that was in good shape for awhile. Dustin and Angela were great, they backed their product, and the Jeep was in great shape. We had been searching for a Dodge RAM pickup for our son. We found the perfect vehicle, at the right price, with low mileage, but it was a 2 hour drive from our home. We decided to make the drive and we are so happy that we did. Dustin (The Car Store) took great care of us! The Car Store is only open until 6pm, but Dustin stayed late to accomodate us. Dustin encouraged us to take the truck on a long test drive and even pointed out a few areas where we could go over some pretty significant bumps (i.e. test the 4 wheel drive). I was so impressed with the friendly, professional, no pressure sales. Honestly, I cannot say enough good about Dustin and The Car Store. If we ever need another used vehicle, we will definitely be back!

My son and went and got a vehicle for him today and just wanted to say i was really impressed with the personable customer service we recieved and how friendly and helpful Angela was considering we had a million questions during our visit. Extremely happy with being treated so well and her walking us through this whole process. We are satisfied and will definetely recommend them to others and will be doing business with them in the future. Thank you guys for being so friendly professional but down to earth, and.. oh yeah Thanks for getting my son a great car

At first sight the pick up I bought looked great and what Ron said seemed to be truthful, owner put on a good face. Have had the pick up for about 3 months, and things they said they fixed are falling apart. Reupholstered arm rest turns out to be an ironed on piece of vinyl that is falling off. Said they replaced the rocker panels. Rust is showing bad on rockers. Must have been a quick fix without much care that they said they were very proud of how the pick up turned out, not sure what is to be proud of. Maybe on how fast they got the pick up in and out of the shop. Check engine light came on a few weeks after purchase. Seat warmers worked for a week or so. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL. Would NEVER go back or recommend. Thanks a lot Ron. Bought a pick up for 8,000 where in the condition it was in a few months later I would not pay 5,000 for.

I drove over an hour to look at a car with my son, there was some miscommunication, the car we came to look at had been sold 30mins before we got there. She felt so bad, and let us test drive a different car, that was a little higher priced than the one we came to look at. She gave us a great deal on the car. I would highly recommend them, and will definitely look at their lot first, when I look to purchase a vehicle again.

You ll never need to worry about surprise repairs again or worrying about whether or not the cost will send you to the poor house!!!

I bought a car from them and i feel ripped off. Don't get me wrong these people were nice but con artist. At the least. They didn't tell me anything was wrong with the car I bought he said that he believes Its a good car. No lights were on the dash all looked good. I guess I'm also to blame cause I didn't keep looking further but when I tried talking price down they shut us down and said no. After purchasing the car I just kept finding things wrong with it that they never even bothered to mentioned . brake light was out. Back seat was broken. Driver seat was broken. Transmission seems to stick. After a week of owning it and minimal driving. The check engine light came on. The fog lights were broken. They said it has not been in an accident but it obviously was. Big dent on the front but I saw that and didn't care. But then later noticed the airbags have already been deployed and the horn was broken and didnt work. Everyday I drive this car I find new things wrong with it .EDIT: I descided to call this company and see if they could either give me a refund or partial refund so I have money to fix the problems. The lady was very nice and wanted to come to a solution. Then I got a call back from Ron. And what everybody else says about him is true. He is very rude. It's crazy. He will act nice when you walk in there but the moment you have a problem he changes. He told me I need to grow the hell up and I am slandering him. I said he is doing false advertising because he told me the car was very good when it had many problems with it. He then tried telling me to buy a more expensive car. He was terrible the whole call. Right off the bat said he won't give me a dime for the damage. It was a terrible experience and trust me. It will be for you too. Even if you feel like they have good prices the car isn't worth what they will sell it to you for. He is very rude and greedy. I whole heartly believe he thinks he is a good business man but he isn't. He needs to get this buinsses taken away from him cause he is incompetent to do it him self. I mean 3.3 stars and all these bad reviews can not be for no reason.

Have had a 2011 Kia Sorento EX for six months. So far I've had to replace the front ball joints, which also required the brand new tires on it to need replaced....$556. Then I had to replace the rear wheel hub assemblies....$800. And now, I'm so HAPPY (not really) to announce I get to replace the rear CV axles...$400. Oh, and let's not forget general maintenance in the way of brake replacement put in the mix. Though they are very nice people, I have been EXTREMELY unhappy with this purchase and doubt I go back due to the simple fact that I have purchased many a used car and NEVER had this much trouble with one within the first six months of having it. :-(

bought a $6000 car with 80k miles on it. in the 9 months I've had it I have had to put 3k into it to fix it. Some of the things that have been fixed were things they reported to have fixed before they sold it a lot of which was in the brakes. My dealership I take my cars to were not to surprised to see that their repairs didn't last when they saw how they did them. on a side note my car currently sits at my dealership for yet more work. this time to replace a wheel bearing that the car store had told me they replaced when I bought the car. it lasted 8k miles.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE.They are dishonest.We bought a car from them a WEEK ago; we paid above average Kelly Blue Book value because they told us the car was in Excellent condition with no mechanical problems. We believed them.Today we found out that the car needs a major repair that will cost ONE THIRD of what we paid for it.When we called to let them know and work something out to arrange for the repair the car has a 30-day Warranty (which is completely useless, it turns out) they were rude and insulting. The Owner told my husband that this is "how American Business works. In other words: If you are stupid enough to believe these are honest people and you get screwed in the process, that is your fault.DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. Tell everyone you know.

I looked at a car here and was so impressed with the professionalism and sincere way they approached the car experience. I was unsure with recent family changes and they were not pushy and in fact showed more compassion about everything being ok with my family. The car sold and they called and told me showed another sincere side to the way they operate. The good people approach has my future buisness
