Took it in for power steering pump and rack replacement. I pick it up and it is still making noise. They have the nerve to still it will take a couple of days for the noise to ho away. Really!!!! Brand new power steering system and it makes noise. I'm calling bank to see what I can do. I've worked on cars all my life never heard bull like this. I've spent just in labor 700 dollars. Hopefully some shuts this scam place down.Service: Steering & suspension repair

THIS IS A QUICK ROB JOINT...THEY DO VERY SHODDY WORK AND WILL ESPECIALLY RIP OFF ANYONE FROM OUT OF TOWN...OR CLUELESS WOMEN...They took my Car in shop or very simple repair wouldn't let me watch...quoted fair price then after took car apart came out and doubled price...and whenI said No tthanks they cut wires under my hood....5 miles later wires they cut started fire.. left me stranded...cost me big $$$ for tow and ensuing repairs on cold rainy day..STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKSALL THE OTHER REVIEWS ARE FAKE

Great place. Hands down the best auto repair shop in Whitting! Very friendly staff especially mr. John and mr. joe . Mechanics are great at their work and friendly . Great place honestly

On the way up to Chicago my rear left brake hose broke and we lose brake pressure. Pulled off an exist and called one of the shops in Whiting a few minutes away. I explained the situation and the guy told me to come by and that they would take a look and try to repair it before closing at 6pm, it was ~2pm. I showed up and they immediately got to work, custom fit and welded a new hose, and I was back on the road in under 2 hours for a very reasonable price. Genuinely one of the best auto repair experiences I've ever had. They were highly concerned with quality/reliability given my travels, but also recognized my desire to have it repaired day of. Great business

I wouldn t trust this place. I had a used transfer case I wanted to get replaced on my truck, so I walked in to see if I can get a rough quote on labor to replace. I m a mechanic myself and can t do larger jobs like this due to back injury. Asked how much would it be to replace a transfer case? Guy behind the counter immediately said if I can get one or find one it can run anywhere from $800-$1,000+ that was for the part alone, the transfer case is readily available and I sourced it shipped to me for $200. Told the person I had a used transfer case already, then after some time gave me a quote of $600 to replace if I bring in my own fluid. This quote ended up being 3 times higher than another shop, another shop charged me $200 for replacement. To charge 3x more than another shop is ridiculous. To also say the part was going to be difficult to find and cost over $800 for something that was $200 is downright absurd. Definitely wouldn t TRUST them

Excellent work. Joe is great. It s nice to be able to go into a local shop, talk cars a bit, and have the work done well.It s great to have a shop that isn t the dealer work on my car. Since 2007 I ve only had dealerships work on my vehicles. I drop off my car, walk to my house, and walk back later, pay them money and leave happy.Great shop. Get your work done here at a great price. Look forward to giving them money for the next many years.

This place is a joke the owners son most definitely a unprofessional person and will have you ready to square up with him, do your research prior, make sure you know what you talking about because they ll tell you anything to get in your wallet while miss diagnosis issues

I own an auto repair in Apopka, Florida. Four years ago my son began attending Calumet College of Saint Joseph s in Whiting, Indiana.With him being 1200 miles away and having a car it was very important for me to find an honest, reasonable and capable auto repair that he could go to.I googled auto repairs close to where he lives and one by one I read reviews, and compared ratings.I narrowed it down to three choices and went to each one of them to meet the owners.I ended up choosing Trust Auto Repair because of how much they seemed to care that I was a parent from out of state and was wanting to find a place that would take care of my sons needs.Owning my own shop for 23 years all I had to do was look around their shop and see their equipment and I knew they had the capability to do whatever the car may need!Every time we have needed them the last four years they have been top notch, and I am so thankful that I chose them!Take it from a guy that s in the same business, and has dealt with them the last four years, they truly are a shop that you can TRUST!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

We paid a $1000 plus to get our car fixed.. The temperature gauge was always on all the way hot. They replaced parts in labor and it still didn't work. They then said that the radiator needed to be flushed out. They did so and still the same problem.. When we came to them recently again the owner UNtruthfully claimed claimed that he told my wife that we needed a new dashboard and wanted us to pay another $600, and then UNtruthfully claimed that he told my wife about this when he flushed out the radiator. The whole business is a rip off, incompetent mechanics, and UNtrust- worthy. My wife and I will never ever go to this place again! You've been warned!

I was attended to by Mark one of the proprietors. He takes the time to go over the problem your car is having, and doesn't waste your time with useless repairs. He treated me like family and charged me considerably less than what the major chains were charging to have my alternator replaced. I recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a skilled mechanic who is honest. The shop is also clean and has a comfortable waiting area if you are going to sit and wait for your repair.

This auto shop has been around in whiting for a while now, and I have never been more satisfied with their work! The gentleman(owner) of the shop is very nice and he walks you through what needs to be done and discusses a fair and reasonable price with you. Very trustworthy mechanic shop hence the name.

We've taken my moms car here several times for minor repairs. They are a very good place for deals, and prompt service. They take their time and go over problems with you. So you can make better decisions about your vehicle. Best place on the north end of Indiana.

So last night while trying to change the battery in our car, which was pretty much dead bolted, it slipped and officially cut our coolant hose. We've had the house for a while now to get fixed because it's been leaking and we had someone who kept saying they were going to do it but never did. Well we had to now. We had no idea what to do, how much is was going to cost, if they could clean all the coolant off of everything else and most of all why it has happened at all. After calling around to mechanics all morning we finally found one who would do it same day, after I had called that originally said we could pick the car up Monday evening or Tuesday morning but as soon as I said I had the part it turned to Friday for some reason. So after getting a $60 tow, the cheapest we could find, we went to trust auto repairs. 2 hours later not only had they installed the new hose but they also cleaned all the coolant off and installed our new battery for only $100. I thank God that we were able to find them because the boys have not only their shots coming up in the next week or two but also WIC. If anyone needs a good, fast, honest and decently priced mechanic I suggest you go there. Thank God for the blessing today. Thank Him for fixing our car and seeing that be the only thing that's wrong with it and not also the alternator. Thank you trust auto repairs for giving us back our car and in 2 hours no less!!!

Went here several times over the last couple of years. Bottom line with these guys: if everything goes well then it's fine. HOWEVER, if there is any issue they will put themselves over you. This is NOT a customer first business. The owner will charge you for THEIR mistakes. Buyer beware.

Trust is a word that shouldn't be used lightly I just don't understand how I can get a radiator replaced because it was leaking antifreeze and you guys forgot to replenish it I'm glad I checked before I pulled off

Reliable and provides good information. Honest and gets stuff done when they said. Knowledgable about all makes/models - you can tell the owner really cares about customer and cars. Glad to have found Trust Auto Repair. Highly recommended.

They told me just for rear break pads, only $120. When he called he told me I had to replace my rotors, both front and back pads, and my caliper was stuck and had to be replaced, all for $675.00. I said no way in hell. I'll be there in 10 mins to pick up my ride. I took it 2 blocks down the road and got all of it done, "except the front breaks", for $280.

I thought they were a fair repair shop until, I found out the owner Mark is a thief. I'll explain; he charges the total book time for repairs that may only take an hour, plus I saw his mechanic messing around with someone else's car after I was told he was currently supposed to be working on my car, so the repair took twice as long and I was charged for time that wasn't used to fix my car. The last time I went (05-27-16) they couldn't tell me what was wrong so he tried to charged me over $600, to fix a bunch of stuff that didn't need it. I took it to Tony's automotive repair on Hohman and Hoffman he charged $190 to replace my fuel sensor, now my car runs fine.
