Went to get my tire patched, I called over the phone and they ensured me it would cost 20 dollars. I show up and the guy asks what my tire size is, unless you work on cars most people don't know there tire size... anyways he quotes me for a new tire when I just wanted to get my tire patched. He says he can't patch it, but hasn't even looked at it. I explain to him I've had patchwork done on those tires, he says he won't patch the same tire twice... When did I tell him I've had work done on that specific tire, regardless I find that comment interesting since I've had one of those tires patched 3 times already. I explained that to him and he kicked me out and started cussing. What terrible customer service

Very professional place of business. Sophia was nice and patient with all my questions. The mechanic is straightforward. Although they were not able to complete the repairs because it was something that needs to be completed from dealer. I appreciate their professionalism throughout the entire process. Would recommend

Starting your Friday home from work with an EXTREMELY flat tire isn t the best way to start a weekend, but because of my experience at CarX today, it wasn t as bad of a headache. I called and told them my situation, and they said to drive slow - I d be next in line for a quick check of my tires. They were able to show me that there was a hole in my tire, and they patched me up good as new! The price was only $35, and I had such a wonderful conversation with Melissa (I think!!! Sorry!!) that the time flew by. I was able to make it back home from work before date night. I sincerely appreciate the fast and honest work that I experienced tonight! Thank you!! (Good luck to your son and your daughter! Thanks for the great conversation and for making this such an easy situation!!)

Sofia Delgado IS THE BEST STORE MANAGER and A lifesaver!You can truly tell when people do something to help others from the bottom of their hearts. SOFIA AND HER STAFF at Carx are truly just that! They helped me at the last minute and cared about my safety!! Genuine people with honest and caring hearts. This is the second time I ve had issues with this establishment. Told my mom not to go back because of the way they treated her last time and this time around they said they couldn t find a part which is understandable and it was for her gas tank that was leaking. They brought the vehicle outside after they drained the remaining gas, leaving her with nothing, and also a dead battery, which was not even part of her issue when she showed up. I understand leaving the vehicle outside and not being able to find the part they don t make anymore. But refusing her help to put some gasoline back in it or even a jump for that matter at 6 o clock at night when she s stranded there. Melissa was the one she was dealing with last night that refused to help her with a jump, and with some gas and then proceeded to tell her that she was not a customer after my mom asked this is how you treat your customers and then proceeded to threaten to tow the vehicle if it wasn t removed immediately. Melissa you are gross and I hope somebody treats you with the same kindness You showed my 65 year old mother last night when you left her in that dark dangerous intersection where your shop is located. You should be ashamed of yourself, and I will make sure the rest of social media knows how you conduct business. If any upper management sees this, perhaps you should keep Melissa in the back of the shop away from dealing with actual people in need. Overhearing the conversation while I was on the other line with my mom that lady has no business dealing with the immediate public and has no compassion for anyone s well-being, but her own, considering she was in such a hurry to get out the door when there was an elderly lady in her lobby that needed help. For her to tell her she was not a customer is a bad way to do business. You touched her car She is a customer. Plain and simple.Do better!!

10/10 will come back again. The staff was super helpful and very knowledgeable and they really do their due diligence on their work. They treated my car very well and were super friendly the whole time and gave me great advice will be coming back for more service!

I made an appointment 2 days in advance online for a 10am drop off for brakes and rotors, it states a representative will contact me within 1 hour depending on the time of the appointment. 48 hours had passed and still nobody contacted me to confirm so I proceeded to drop my car off at 10am and the car didn't get lifted and looked at until after 3:30pm and it's now 4:50pm -"at the time of this review and still nobody called me. I called at 2pm and was told in 1 hour someone will call me and nothing, I called back at 4:30 and was then told someone will call me in 15mins and still nothing.My vehicle wasn't able to be worked on and I had to drive it home. CarX told me to comeback when they open and my car will get worked on first , so I'm here now and it's 9:11am and my car is still outside. I'm having to spend upwards of $1500 plus $60.00 off and to be treated like this is unacceptable and unprofessional, having only 1 mechanic on duty with 7 cars not including mine waiting is not right. My car got completed and the brakes still grind when I stopped even after 500miles and now my car makes a noise while driving even in a smooth paved road, my 2021 car now feels and drives like a used car that's 15 years old. When you get work done on a new car the vehicle isn't suppose to feel like it's older after the fact. Let me say this , DO NOT make an online appointment it's a complete waste of time for "this location". Best to stick with your dealership if your car is new or acouple of years old,it'll be more money but the car will get DONE. Stick with oil changes at CarX.

Took our 2007 Buick Terraza wheelchair van in because it was acting up and would stop arbitrarily. Also, the engine light was staying on. This van gave us a good 16 year run, these types of vans are extremely costly, so we re grateful. We went in to this CarX for a diagnosis specifically because on a previous visit to ask for some air to lift our lowered floor van, personnel here were kind and attentive. Well, this morning, we received the same, caring, honest and supportive service. Unfortunately, it s time to seek a new vehicle because the risks definitively outweigh the benefits. Kyle, Sofia and staff were generous and forthright, we are glad we returned to this location and feel comfortable recommending this CarX.

Took wife s car in brakes was pulsing when pressing peddle was told by Mazda it needed pads rotors and calipers and wanted big money and was gonna be like 5 days for parts . car x drove analyzed it called me and I had them change all pads and rotors front and back and had car back in a few hours . now brakes are like brand new thank you car x will be bringing you more business and thanks again 5 stars in my book !!!!!!

on our way from Chicago to Ohio we started to experience some car trouble and these guys really saved our trip. Sofia at the front was very friendly and professional. Kyle, who worked on our truck was very knowledgeable about his work and had us back on the road within 2 hours! Great service and reasonable prices.

Went to go get an oil change, they never changed my oil on my car when I asked for full synthetic and got charged $70. They might have been salty because I didn t want to replace some parts on my car that costed over 2000

Overall best experience at an auto shop. Went in for a battery charge problem and ended up having the most friendly staff I ve ever seen! They were very kind and I ended up not having to pay a dime!

We were traveling from Chicago to Michigan when we experienced overheating on our right front wheel. We had 2.5 hours to go and we HAD to get this fixed before finishing our trip. We luckily found CarX in Whiting IN and Sophia there took good care of us. She was professional and took time to explain everything to us and got us back on the road within 3 hours. This cooks have been a lot worse so we are thankful for her and her crew at CarX. Definitely recommend them over other auto shops!

These guys are awesome! Brought my car in later in the day for an issue I was having. Didn't know if it was major or minor. They figured it out and were able to fix it easily and because of the nature of it, didn't even charge me. I've never had such great customer service. Best shop around! I brought my vehicle to the dealership for repairs a month prior and they were going to charge a few hundred to fix a rattling sound. I declined the service at the dealership. Today, when I brought my vehicle in for an oil change, I asked to get the rattling diagnosed. I was told that a panel was loose and they secured it. Sure enough, the sound is gone. It was so refreshing to bring my vehicle in and not have employees try to upsell me on services. If you're looking for quality work from a trustworthy shop, this is the place to bring your vehicle. I'm not local but if I need work on my vehicle when I'm visiting again, this will be where I go.Services: Exhaust, Oil change

I dropped off my car at 7:30 in the morning on a Friday for a wheel alignment and I was told it would be looked at sometime during the day which was fine. I never received a call letting me know the status so I called and was told that they didn't get a chance to look at it that I would be first in the morning. I didn't receive a call all day on Saturday so I called one hour before closing and they informed me that the suspension looked good and they can do the alignment on Monday. They had my car for two days. I never received service like this in the past,they sent me to the dealer the last time I needed service.Service: Wheel alignment

If you need auto repairs THIS is the place!! Sofia & her staff are the absolute best!! I had some maintenance done at another CarX location, and to say there were issues is an understatement. After contacting CarX (and kudos to Curtis!), the team in Whiting IN was suggested - and I am so glad they were. Sofia & her team identified the issues caused by the previous CarX, and they were not satisfied until everything was fixed and perfect. It feels like I'm driving a new car! In addition to the great work, the team has the best professional attitude and approach to their work. They make the customer comfortable, communicate clearly and in detail, listen to the input from their customers - they're just truly highly & completely professional in all aspects.Many kudos to the CarX team in Whiting IN!! My family has used this location for years. They ve always been very knowledgeable and straightforward. Most recently I used them with an engine issue that they couldn t immediately assist with, but they went above and beyond to help me get in contact with the dealership for what turned out to be a recall issue. Although they weren t servicing the vehicle they still made sure I was taken care of. I ve been using the Whiting Car X Tire and Auto for years. The service has always been great. I have had brakes, struts, shocks, front-end and mufflers replaced and repaired. I ve recommended them to my family and friends but today I cannot recommend them for tire service.I wanted to get some new tires so I reached out online to the Whiting Car X early on Wednesday morning. I gave CarX all the information requested. I told them what tires I wanted, how to contact me and when would be a good time for me to drop off the car. I really wanted to give the business to Car X.The Car X website states you will receive a response to your appointment request within 1 hour, if submitted during business hours. I hadn t heard anything from Car X during the day on Wednesday so I called around 4pm. I was not bothered by the lack of a response as promised. I know how busy the place is, so I just wanted to make sure they received the request. When I talked to the Car X representative, he mentioned he just got the request because he had some WiFi issues. He also said he would look at the request and call me back in a little while. I never received a callback on Wednesday.On Thursday morning I went into the shop and talked to the same person I spoke to on the phone on Wednesday. The representative told me about some pricing issues and that I couldn t use the online discount. I said fine, I had another coupon from Car X that would work. The representative said he d have the tires on Friday and I should come in for the installation. I was happy because I was going to get new tires on Friday.So when I show up on Friday morning, a different Car X representative tells me the tires weren t ordered. I asked the representative if he could get the tires today and he answered no. The representative made no attempt to help rectify the situation. He could have said, I can get them tomorrow or Monday or maybe Tuesday. No options were given, so I said it looks like I have to get tires somewhere else and left.My recommendation to the new people running the place is if you say you are going to call back, call back. If you say, you are going to order the tires, order the tires.I gave Car X three chances to sell me tires. I think I was reasonable. I ended up buying the tires at another retailer on Friday.

After running over a tire, there was damage to my undercarriage cover. Sophia explained what my options were to correct the problem. I was very surprised how knowledgeable she was, being she was working behind the counter and hadn t looked at my car. After Eddie the service person checked out my vehicle he explained the same thing that Sophia had told me. They left the decision to me and they did not pressure me one way or the other. I felt they were very trustworthy. Thank you.

The team at Car-X provided wonderful customer service and made me feel very taken care of, always going a step above my expectations. The company that I initially had for towing delayed and I had to end up canceling, but Car-X was extremely accommodating, referring me to their towing person (who was extremely professional, nice, and speedy) and even staying open a little longer than their hours to make sure I got my car in. They were extremely thorough and did a fantastic job fixing my car up, even though there were a bunch of challenges with it. Mike, Sophia, Kyle, and Nate were extremely helpful and made my experience a great one.

This location is wonderful. They have been able to complete necessary repairs on mine and my family s cars. Mike the manager makes sure people get service along with helping fit people into their schedule for a repair. Sophia is very helpful, friendly, and ready to help with customers. The mechanics Nate and Kyle work diligently to make sure any problems with the cars are taken care of. Would highly recommend coming back!

Needed an alignment check ASAP because I curbed a rim. Manager (Sofia) managed to squeeze me in on a busy afternoon. Techs took their time to make sure everything was right with my car, and made sure I was satisfied! They fixed my issues and made me very happy! Very nice and professional staff.
