We have a van made by them that is less than two years old. It has Multiple issues that required multiple trips to a dealer that hours away from our home.TV stopped working, speakers not functioning because of a bad amp. AC not functioning. Poorly designed controls. Driver display not functioning properly. Rear camera display set up backwards. The bumper, which appears to be glued and clipped on, is literally falling off.Good thing we got the warranty. But they take weeks to fix these problems. All the while we do. Or have what we paid a lot of money for. Just fixing It is not enough. How much time and money do I have to be out for them to correct their mistakes? Never again.

This company is really great to work with. We bought a 2022 Ford Transit from them that is great. It's a wonderful car for road trips with all of our kids. I have needed to drop over there for minor warranty fixes and they've taken great care of me

Met with Ross at Explorer Van Company to look at how their vans are built and design one for our family. We had a great time with him and learned a lot about the process and what can added to a van to make it a nice vehicle for our family.

I wound up purchasing a Mercedes Metris van that I later found out had been outfitted by these guys. Beautiful vehicle. Unfortunately when I bought it, I was unaware that the rims and tires were included in the retrofit. When a driver cracked a wheel, I was left with nearly no options to replace it. Deb in the parts department at Explorer Van Co. did her research and followed up with their purchaser, knowing that the company they used to build that wheel custom, was no longer in business. She found ONE remaining wheel and sold it to me at her cost AND got it shipped out same day. I can t say enough about how much she saved me with this. I was going to end up spending at least $1300 for a whole new set. Thank you Deb.

I've never had a bad experience with Explorer. They have gone over and above with all of our vans. We started buying Explorer vans back in 1987. We have bought 7 vans and are about to buy our 8th van. They are the best quality conversion package available.Sincerely,Mark and BonnieOhio

Just completed our first road trip from Indiana to New England in this new Explorer Van. These vans are an excellent alternative to full size SUVs and are sooo much more comfortable, especially for passengers. The van absolutely rocks with 4x4, 13" HD screen w/ Apple TV, blackout features, self presenting/retracting running boards, full leather interior... amazing for road trips and it fits in my standard garage! The customizability of these vehicles is excellent and the pricing is very transparent.

I needed a part that was damaged on my van. The whole experience was over the top!!! From them saying, would you like us to paint it? I was just expecting the part. Then I drove over 2 hours to get there and they said we will put it on for you too. The warranty service manager was absolutely wonderful. This is my 6th explorer conversion van. I was thrilled to see where you make the whole thing happen. Good people, down to earth, and they haven t forgotten how customers really want to be treated. I applaud your company and the people that make it happen. Thank you!!!!!

Now the negative reviews make sense. Awful people on the phones, zero help or information, they apparently only keep records back till 2015? Very unprofessional and snarky attitudes from everyone. They kept using the excuse that they're a small family owned business, like that makes a difference on how they choose to run things. Maybe actually have the respect to keep records for those who have spent money to have them convert their vehicle. Removing records after only 7 years? Sounds like they don't want long term customers and have burned many bridges. No wonder there's so many negative reviews from previous buyers. Clearly a shady company that's scammed many others.

So very unprofessional people in every way. We waited 4 months for our van to be built. We were told several stories of why it wasn't ready. The stories were, "It has arrived and we'll be building it soon" Then another story and another story....I waited because I wanted one When it finally arrived, they raised the price on me without an apology. It was "if you don't want it, someone else will. I wish we didn't want it. When it got there, there was paint drips on the mirrors and on the body cladding. The bumpers didn't fit right and and the rubber was pealing off. The inside was even worse. the fit and finish was HORRIBLE. There were chalk marks everywhere, the leather wasn't even real leather. I called the factory and the owners son was so unbelievably rude and hung up on me. I told the dealer to keep the van. They apologized and gave me my money back. They told me that they will never sell another one of their vans because all the customers hated them. They truly don't care about their customers.

I bought a new Explorer van this year. Had a tree fall on the roof and do a little damage. I've owned a body shop for over 20 years and decided to fix myself. I've called several times with questions and to order parts. The customer service has been amazing. They have gone above and beyond my expectations getting through this repair and helping me out.

Newbie!Haven't received my new 2021 Mercedes Metris yet, but have been told is ready. Can't wait to see it, waiting on pics soon before delivery. Have been dealing directly with Brian Murphy and have to say that he's been very responsive to my questions and concerns. This is my first time doing anything like this, but very excited for the finished product. I'm only posting now and not after, because I wanted to get it out that they are rolling these babies out even when cars are very difficult to get. I will add more thoughts and pictures to this review once I get it delivered. Thanks Brian

Long review incoming....This review really started 2 years ago when we bought the van from a dealership that had shady dealings with our explorer salesman. I left a poor review for the dealership because I kept getting emails from them asking me to leave a review so I did. Fast forward 2 years...We ve taken our explorer conversion van in time and time again for things that have gone wrong or quit working. This last time we took it in it was to address the seat heaters not working. Well the van is now out of warranty even though we ve not even owned it for the 3 year 36000 bumper to bumper we were told it had. The van sat for over a year waiting to be sold but apparently explorer started their warranty when the conversion was finished and it went to the dealership. So we were short changed a full year on our warranty. In short this will be the first and last time we buy a conversion van from explorer. It is unfortunate because it is comfortable inside - but these are not built to last apparently.

I bought my van 2018 GMC Savana 11/01/2019 with 4k miles, previously O took amazing care of the van, nothing wrong on the day we bought it. A week later we noticed the trim on the passenger door bubbling, then all the trim around the van started bubbling. Parts stated since I was the 2nd owner they only offer warranties to the first owner not the second. They will not replace any parts unless I pay for each piece of trim. Parts should last longer then 1.5 year on a car. Robert Kesler the Owner's son was very arrogant and refused to help in any way besides me telling how much I will pay to have THEIR problem fixed! Poor customer service and product. Horrible experience from the moment I called and dealt with this company.

This company is excellent. We just ordered our 3rd Explorer Van. Their quality has always been great and their customer service, from sales to parts, has been excellent. Over the years we've needed to call them for parts or service and they are always responsive. Can't wait for the new one to arrive!!!

Called them and inquired if they could re-laminate door bezels and dash bezel on a 2004 Chevy Conversion van that they originally built. They told me to ship them up , write parts department all over the box, include VIN information and what we wanted done on the inside of the box and that they would re-laminate them. I spent $96.00 to ship them up just to be called 4 days later and told that they could not re-laminate them and that we would have to purchase new parts or they could ship the parts we sent back to us and we were responsible for shipping. I asked for a quote on new parts just to not have to pay to ship the worn pieces back. They then told me that the pieces we shipped were from a 2015 van which made no sense because the van has been in possession of the current owner since 2011 and these bezels have never been replaced (hence the wear and cracking we wanted fixed). They eventually shipped the parts back to us after we gave a credit card to pay for shipping.I will say that the lady I spoke with several times about all of these problems was pleasant but At no point did I feel like I was really being helped and the fact that they would not help with shipping costs back to us was disappointing.

The van looked beautiful originally and it s very comfortable. But trim pieces keep coming loose, and the conversion is done in such a way that when a piece of electronics like the TV or DVD player break there s really no way to replace it.

We were potential customers of Explorer Van. Because of a very unprofessional rep we are almost happy to say we won't be giving this company a hefty payday. We were treated rudely by a so called professional man who's pride was hurt over tough questions about this product/ vehicle. Please think twice about your decision to buy from Explorer. We were diligent on doing our homework and treated very disrespectful! BUYER BEWARE.....

Our Van needed in for a minor warranty issue. Explorer was able to get us in the following day and fixed within an hour. Very friendly. Very helpful. Even got a tour of the manufacturing plant. This is our second Explorer Van and will definitely buy another.

I purchased new a 2019 ford Transit Explorer van 9 pass high top and I must say it's the most amazing van I've ever had and it's my second explorer van . The quality is top notch and have taken many long trips to myrtle beach south Carolina where my daughter goes to college and I must say the van drives amazing on the highway and always very comfortable on long trips, and I have read many bad reviews and I have not experienced anything like these reviews.

Called on Friday afternoon, 12/22, at 2pm and had a bad connection with a sales guy, Ross, before we could get into any details. So I called him right back (2 minutes later) and was told that he'd left for the day, and that everyone in the office was headed to Chicago for a Christmas party. I asked if anyone was available to answer questions from a prospective customer and was told no. Wow. I guess business is that good they don't need any new customers. I told them I'll just take my business elsewhere. Surely someone else wants the $90k I'm looking to drop on a conversion van.

UNSAFE JUNK! Do NOT buy a van from this company. They knowingly sell unsafe vans! They are putting tires and rims on the vans which do not even meet the weight rating of the bare cargo van they start out with. After the conversion, the van is well over the capacity of the tires and rims. This creates a severe hazard going down the road. Severe shaking and vibration from the front end can be experienced and tire wear 3 times worse than should be normal. Once the proper rated tires and rims are put on the van, there is not enough clearance in the wheel wells due to the suspension not being modified to carry the extra weight and higher center of gravity. With the proper Tires and rims the tires will rub in the wheel wells. Do not be a victim of this shady company who puts unsafe vehicles on the road.

Explore Van Co. is owned by a scum bag by the name of Steve Kessler. I grew up in the Warsaw, Indiana area, and one of my parents worked here for decades, and then was tossed aside like a piece of trash. I knew many people that were treated horribly by this company, but I won't speak for these people, but I can assure you everything I'm writing here is the truth. I'll refer to my parent from here as RIP. Much of my family still live in the Warsaw area, which is why I won't mention RIP's name, nor my own name, out of respect for my family.RIP, as I already stated, worked for Steve Kessler at Explorer for decades. It was a regular occurrence to lay people off for a short time due to business slowing down. This time was a little different because there was no approximate word on when people would be called back to work. RIP called Explorer one day after wondering why it was taking so long this time around to call people back to work. RIP was told it would be "any day now." Months went by being told the same thing over and over up until a several days before Christmas. This call RIP was told your ham, which was something given to employees for Christmas, was "sent out to you." RIP waited for days for the box to arrive, and then after two weeks, and then realized it wasn't coming.RIP hadn't been feeling well for months leading up the realization that a call back wasn't coming. I told RIP over and over to go to the doctor, but because of lack of health insurance since being laid off, but RIP was broke from not working. This is the point RIP began looking for work with a company that offered health insurance. Within one month RIP became so ill that working a full time job was no longer an option. RIP did take a part time job, but could barely get through a four hour shift without nearly collapsing. Luckily my income allowed me to help RIP go to the doctor, but by then it was too late. RIP would be diagnosed with a terminal disease that could have been avoided had Explorer Van Co. at least had the decency to simply say we won't be calling you back to work so another job with benefits could be found in time. When RIP passed away I told myself there will never be a day that goes by where I won't tell someone what Steve Kessler did to our family. I've had the displeasure of meeting Steve Kessler on several occasions, and I can assure you that this man is not worthy of being called a piece of garbage.I can't express the hate I feel for Kessler, and what he did to RIP, and to countless others after their years of faithful service to Explorer. A short time ago when I was a GM for a large Chicago automotive dealer, I was visited by Steve's son trying to peddle their junk vans to our company. Looking at this guy and hearing him speak brought all these bad memories back, and all I could get out was "not interested." I believe both of these men are two of the most horrible individuals to ever walk the face of the earth. I believe that they would walk by a burning building full of children because they see a penny lying on the sidewalk ahead of them.Stay away from this company, or anything they're selling, because you will regret the day you heard their name. I now have the pleasure to have a great job, awesome family, and I have the pleasure of having access to people that Explorer would only dream of meeting. I work for one of the worlds biggest and best automotive groups in the world where I have the pleasure of telling people what horrible people own Explorer, and what a terrible mistake it would be to own one of their vans. Bob Kessler would roll over in his grave knowing what has become of the company he started. What comes around goes around!

Not even worth one star. This company is not accountable, there word is different from there actions! Waiting over a month for my van to be finished and still don't have it! Excuse after excuse on why it's not back yet, and they don't return phone calls! Will never use them again or recommend them!
