This is my first experience with Sandberg's Towing. I needed my van towed to a transmission shop, and the shop's owner had Sandberg's handle the tow. The young man who was responding to the job had called me to give me an ETA. He arrived at the time he said he would. He was very friendly and seemed to have handled my van with care. I gave four stars because it was a straight-forward tow with no real concerns. I did not contract them, so I have no knowledge of their pricing. That being said, I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

My wife's food truck had broken down. Being it weighs 15000 lbs we needed a heavy duty tow truck. Called several places and Sandbergs was the quickest to arrive and was the most reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend them again

Great experience with Sandberg's Towing. Needed somebody to tow our RV from our home in Hobart to Currie Ford Valpo. Currie didn't have space for it due to hvy volume of incoming cars during below zero weather. Sandberg's worked with Currie to determine earliest available time to bring in RV. Truck driver was very competent and professional during the hookup/tow. It is difficult to find true customer service, but Sandberg's provides it.

I busted a driveshaft that tore up a fuel line and some wiring on my truck while hauling my enclosed trailer to North Carolina from Wisconsin. Local police officer recommended these folks and had someone hooking up to my trailer within 15 minutes. The next morning one of the owners started tracking down pieces to put my truck back together. A couple parts were hard to get but he would not be defeated. He got me back on the road that same day. I was expecting the cost of the tow and repairs to be more expensive but was very pleased with the bill. Couldn't have broke down at a better time and place.Service: Special vehicle towing

I reached out to them because they work with SilverRock(Carvana's warranty company). The best I can say is that the staff is very friendly. Due to the b.s with Carvana, I never got to really find out anything else about this place. I thank them for their time and effort.

Had a breakdown along side of rt65. These guys sent me a guy named Marty. This gentleman was awesome kind and a hell of a worker. The ride to the destination was definitely one to remember. Just wanted to thank you guys once again for helping me out and I truly wish u guys the best of luck. Thanks again Marty it was a blast

They take drive shaft off but they dont know how to put them back so you will need road service agein after the tow not recomending

My vehicle was towed away from an accident by this company (not my choice) and this is the state I received it back in. After paying $100+ I would expect it in the same condition it left in. Very unprofessional look, I would not recommend using a company who doesn t care about the way they treat your vehicle.Service: Car towingService: Car towing

Sandberg's Towing was a blessing to our family during our recent accident with our truck and 5th wheel. They were very professional, reassuring and kind. We are thankful they went out of their way to tow our vehicles to our home in another state.

Rude, unprofessional, OVERCHARGING. Charged $480 for a 6 mile tow. Would not give me a total bill until after 6pm on a Friday. Would not release car until Monday adding an additional $45 per day for storage. Do not do business with. Will hold your car hostage to make more money from working class people.Service: Car towingService: Car towing

I highly recommend Sandberg Towing. They safely transported our 2019 crew cab truck to the dealer. It was past 10 pm on a Sunday and they quickly came out, loaded our truck and transported the truck from Valparaiso to Merrillville. When I wrote quickly came out that is including the knowledge that Sandberg has to call a driver who is at home which has to pick up the flatbed and drive to our location. It all about perspective. Very professional and priced reasonable considering the price of fuel and the amount of money a flatbed hauler costs.Service: Car towing

These guys are professional scam artists and the owner is a blatant racist.I was quoted one price over the phone and was told i could pay it in credit. Im white sounding on the phone, after meeting with the owner, Ryan Sandberg, the inflection in his voice has changed and so had the agreed upon contract. The price doubled and i could no longer pay with my card.If you have a choice, do not support this bigot.Service: Car towing

They re so hard up for money they charge $45 a day for parking then they over charge you by another 10%. I guess that s for the lousy service you receive. They were totally cool when I was hi1t by an 18-wheeler 10 hrs from home, Instead of leaving me stranded, they gave me a ride to their shop to call an Uber. And they mailed my plates to me 2 wks later. Much appreciated, Sandbergs

My recent experience with Sandberg's was great. Every aspect of getting my car from Portage back to Valpo was flawless. The tow truck driver was fast, efficient, and super helpful. I highly recommend Sandberg's.

They took really good care of vehicle after it was in a accident. All my personal belongings were inside and in tact , they placed a blanket over my the top of my truck so the inside didn't get wet . However there was an overcharge and they only accepted cash that was kinda shady of the.

I couldn't have been more pleased with this company!!! Chris was Super nice and very very helpful, we were from out of state stranded on the side of the highway he picked us up looked at our truck on a Sunday advised us what had to be done and then took us to 3 hotels to make sure that we were good for the night and then had our car done by 1030 in the morning and picked us up and got us back on the highway. I would recommend this company to anyone. Plus the prices were well priced as well. Thanks again Chris!!

DO NOT GO HERE. my grandmothers boyfriend was in a horrible crash and his car was towed here. between the time it was towed and we got there, they tried to steal his phone and change the email that was in the car. When called out his phone somehow magically ended up plugged in sitting on the passenger side. The wallet has no ID, no debit cards, and no cash. When police got involved, the place was super rude when i came to retrieve his stuff that we had to get out of the car ourself. They need to be reported and every single one of them needs to lose their job.

My RV broke down and was blocking one lane of the street, while I have a towing plan, that company was unable to arrange a tow for me, so Sandberg's Towing was called for me, Mr. Sandberg himself came out with a huge red tow truck and promptly and professionally towed my RV to a shop for repairs. The service was absolutely first rate. I would recommend Sandberg's Towing and Recovery for all your towing needs. Thank you Mr. Sandberg, you were a lifesaver.

This is by far the least professional tow company I have ever dealt with. They are rude. They will lie, they will steal. They are anything but professional. I am horribly disappointed as I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but there are just too many things that showcase how they are the truly the worst type of company to do business with. Also, take all valuables out of your car. I promise you, they do steal.

very expensive, I realize that it is expensive to run this kind of business, but my son had an accident 5 miles from the shop, and they charged us 335.00 They did use the winch, I just think we were taken advantage of, We live an hour and a half away, and really didnt have a choice, I am a business owner myself, and i get they have bills, but so do I! Our insurance also said they have never heard of paying that much for that distance. Guess they would be good if your desperate, or call around, and dont just take whomever the police call, Lesson learned!!

We broke down last Friday on the Indiana Toll road and called Sandberg's Towing. Bob, the driver, was awesome. He made sure we got into the truck with no problems and he dropped us off at our daughters in Valparaiso, and also helped us to unload our van that had broken down. The next day Bob dropped our van off at the dealership and called us to tell us he was dropping it off, and made sure we had all of the phone numbers we needed. I have told others about Sandberg's, and if I ever need help on the road again, they will be the first ones I will call. Good old fashioned customer service. Awesome service!!!

I am and have been a single mother for many years, and know nothing about cars, besides how to change a tire and the oil. I have known Chris personally for years now through our community of valpo, and would like to say, shame on anyone who downs this family ran company! I am not only able to trust these brothers, and all the staff with my cars, but know without a doubt what kind great family people they all are. I am always able to rely on them at any time day or night, without any judgments too! They are fast and efficient. If you have ever had a problem with them, its probably cuz rude people dont deserve the best treatment. 5stars from me! Keep up the good work guys! You are so appreciated!

In emergencies these folks are great. Be sure to make an appt sheaf of time for regular servicing, for they are an extremely busy shop. I went to HS with the owner, and he's a super and decent person!
