I had to have the tech out to my house 4 times before he figured it out and he changed parts that did not need changed and I got charged for that. I was without heat for on and off a month everyone in my house got sick. They charged me close to 1000 dollars I could have got a whole new unit for that. If you need heating and cooling go to someone else they like to take advantage of people for money gain. Three days later and fancy my furnace not working again I wish i could figure out how to make money for nothing. Three days later I called in a retired heating and air guy problem still there and a grounding wire was not hooked up causing a fault thanks to the retired guy I now have heat.

Know what thr doing, been around terre haute for years and won't find any past customers complaining about knowledge, service, technicians or prompt response to your service call.

I was expecting a technician from the company that installed my furnace but resulted more of a salesman. It seems that Schalburg is more interested in selling me a new unit than helping with the repair. The blower's motor of my furnace went bad, so the technician told me that because it is discontinued, I also have to replace the control board for a total of $1,700 just in parts. So, his "honest" advice was to replace the furnace because it is 10 years old . I just bought a replacement motor (exactly the same one) online for $449. I will install it myself or have it installed by a real professional. My next furnace will not be Schalburg's.Service: Heating system repair

Schalburg's service, in my opinion, is top notch. I called 15 minutes before closing time they were scheduled and at my door at 8:30 AM the next morning. Charles their technician was very knowledgeable and polite. He answered our questions informed us about maintenance and fixed our AC in less than an hour. We were intimidated to call thinking AC repair was too expensive. Schalburg got it done quickly and for much less than we feared. Signing up for yearly service! I like how professional they are with their response. The customer service representative was very warm and friendly during the first conversation. She instantly understood my situation and provided me the assurance that she would have someone come and take a look. The technician who came to take a look was Bryce Emehiser. I found the service experience very informative and efficient. He went through the list of things to diagnose the problem very meticulously. He talked me through the process at strategic points during this the service. He also appeared to be warm and social. Always nice to have someone who knows what they are doing, communicates effectively, explains things patiently (being understanding when people do not know something). The maintenance man who performed the maintenance service on my heat pump, in my opinion did a great job. He was prompt. professional , knowledgeable, and represented Schalburg Heating and Cooling very well. I ve dealt with at least three other vendors in this area. I have concluded every business transaction with them knowing that I received great value with even better workmanship and quality. From servicing equipment installed by another company to installation of a new system, they have demonstrated that they know what they re doing and just as important customers matter to them.

If you use them, make sure to check your invoice prior to paying as they charged us for 2 and a half hours of labor for an hour and a half job. Luckily I caught it. Wonder how many other people they ve ripped off! Technician was friendly and that s the only reason they deserve the star. We have used them for almost two years and will not return as a customer.

We had problems with our Geothermal unit and called Schalburg. They sent their tech out on two different occasions and diagnosed the problem. We had no issues whatsoever with their tech or service. But we never were able to get them to make the needed repairs or give us an estimate on a new unit. I made at least 50 calls in a 3 month period and kept getting a run around about an estimate. They clearly didn t want or need my business. I just wish they had been honest and upfront instead of putting me off for months. So after getting the run around for several months I called Joes Mechanical and had a complete new unit installed in a matter of weeks. Moral of this story - call Joes Mechanical!

The techs here are great. Knowledgeable, efficient and polite. While installing new equipment in our home one of the techs slipped and unfortunately put a hole in our ceiling. No worries, the damage was repaired without any hassle.

Worst customer service ever. Our air conditioner has been leaking all summer...I have called at least 15 times. I slipped on the water on the garage floor and fractured my ankle. They treated it like a joke. The last time the repair man was here he said the unit could be replaced or parts replaced with No Hassle Replacement. I have called and the receptionist almost laughs atme. So sad in the time of uncertainty, ugliness in the world that a customer is treated that way.Services: A/C system maintenance, A/C system repair

Knowledgable service team and they fixed the unit fast but it's also not nice to hear someone laugh at you throught your sliding glass door for wanting your AC back on during a weekend where the heat index was 101� and you have three animals with long hair in your 85� house. I don't think I'm going to "die without AC" but they might.

Technician Tim was very knowledgeable and troubleshot my defective furnace until he found the intermittent problem, which ended up being a clogged port to a switch that inhibited the furnace from entering stage 2 which blows the heat. Kudos!

Another no call no show company. Took off work early to meet them only to sit around for nothing. Called the place and they said we will have someone call you. Never heard from anyone. Seems no one wants to work around this area.

Had them out for an estimate. They came out and told me they would get back to me. I kept calling them and they told me they would have it to me ASAP. It has been 4 days and no call back nothing. Guess I will take my business elsewhere.
