The only reason for the 3 stars was for the bed and hot tub in the room. Now lets get down to the dislikes. Now you can look at my other reviews and see I don't hold back. 1.) The front desk was pretty cool at the beginning but as soon as I asked for an extra pillow cause I like to have one between my legs when I sleep. She told me that they don't have any extra. Which is fine I went home and got one of mine. 2.) Walking up the stairs to get to my room, both stair wells had bugs near the light and had a smell like moldy blood. Not a fan. Got to the room and saw they haven't remodeled in awhile. Plus let just say after the black light we won't be back . For breakfast they had reused waffles with a side of stale cereal. I'll be enjoying my stay else were for now on.Rooms: It's a hotel so yeah

Do not recommend at all. The showers were disgusting. One of the rooms we were in had bed bugs, my daughter woke up with bites all over her legs. You do not get your deposit back. They call and make up ridiculous excuses why you aren't getting your deposit back. There was 7 of us and they only provided 2 bath towels per room and we rented 2 rooms. The service is horrible. There was no continental breakfast, as was advertised on their site. Overall, just gross.

So I read a lot of reviews and was so worried about coming. I always do cheaper hotels bc I've never in 40 years had a bad experience, and I hate to spend $$$ on a bed that's not mine. Rather, spend the $$$ on vacation activities and souvenirs.1. Not dirty at all. Could the room have more attention on paint or fix up methods...Sure....But is it dirty....NOT AT ALL.2. The pool was very nice. Some dirt at the bottom but nothing to complain about dirt.3. Breakfast could use some work. Every time at 730, almost everything was gone. I'm not sure the milk used, but it was not red or blue cap (whole or 2%) kind of milk. I've been to other cheap hotels, and they do amazing on breakfast. So it's possible to up their game on this breakfast department.4. Room had a microwave, fridge, plenty of outlets, plenty of tables (2) and night stands (2)5. Do not believe most reviews. If you like luxery...do not come...if you like the cheaper side that does not skip on clean ...this is your jam.6. I checked both beds...mattress and all ...no bugs ...no stains. I bring my own clorax wipes and lysol. I always wipe down everything. My clorax wipes werent even dirty until I cleaned the top of the headboard (Dusty).7. Bring your own pillow and blankets because theirs SUCKS.Good place will ne back when we do Holiday World again.

Asked for pet friendly room.They said they had one left.Walked us over and on the way there pasted several rooms that smelled of smoke lots and lots of smoke . The Pet friendly room offered to us smelled like a zoo. There had definitely been pets in there before and we had to take a pass. Went to another place paid a little more but we could breathe and no trace of previous pets.The lady was really nice though oh and the pool was green may have been able to fish in it.

The workers where nice but will never stay there again. This place isnt worth there cheap prices thats fir sure.. they need to clean the place up..if i could post pics i would..Rooms: Lets start with i felt i was staying in a homeless motel with crackheads walking around.. stray cats outside with dog poop and cig buts outside our room door. when we went into the room the room was musty and mold smell ac didnt work nor cable witch i had to fix myself. The room had a shower curtain holding up the curtains along with celling tile patching thecwall up. The bathroom had 2 different tiles in it and the toielt was not even calk down with 5 layers of calk.. the bathtub had patching and rust and dirt in it. The hangers in the closet where rusty so couldnt hang my clothes up. Fridge was sitting on a table.. i could go on but i wont this place isnt worth the money.. i stayed in nicer places cheaper then there prices.Food & drinks: There breakfast was 2 muffins and some honeybuns along with everything out of order.. we had to leave and go to get food elsewhere..

Employees were very friendly. Accommodated all of my family's needs. Very clean rooms, after a long days drive kept the pool open a little longer for our kids to enjoy. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant atmosphere. Most impressive was how lit up the parking lot was. Felt very safe even in the late hours of coming in. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!!!

Very clean rooms, comfy beds, good price. Super nice and accommodating managers. They waited for us, offered coffee and were super nice . The pool was closed (covid?). Rooms have a nice tv, good air, plenty of seating. Would come here again!:)

Horrible place. Charged our card 500.00 to hold the room and still waiting for our refund. Then went to get my deposit back and they charged another 50.00 to card but did refund me back a 100.00. Still waiting for the 500.00 and 100.00 to be refunded. We are on S/S disability and don't have that kind of money to have it sit for up to 30 days not to pay bills! Plus the room was dirty and very run down. Not use to a place like that! Very unhappy!!!

I am only giving one star because there isn't an option to give 0. When we got there we were told they "don't take reservations" despite calling and giving our information and getting a confirmation number the week before. We got two rooms. Room #1 - it seemed like everything was wiped down but the bathroom was filthy, the carpet was ripped and the room smelled stale. The microwave and refrigerator were unusable and their was no coffee pot. The bathroom fan didn't work and the toilet did not flush properly and ran all night long. The TV had 8 channels that worked. The wifi didn't work. The bathroom ceiling looked like it was ready to fall down and the smoke detector was missing. The carpet was crunchy. The second room was in slightly better condition but the AC didn't work. The pool that we were assured they had the week before was drained of water and not usable. There were several guests on the upper deck smoking and drinking. The shower in the second room had no water pressure and the hot water only lasted about 4 minutes.

I asked for a ground floor room. That's what I got, be it must have been the long term room rentals. Carpeting was filthy, furniture wore out, bathroom odd, you could brush your teeth while using the toilet. Room was musty, slight smell of smoke. I don't think I would stay here again. If you do decide to give it a try, I would ask to see the room first.

It's okay. Honestly, you get what you pay for. We went to check in the first time and we rung the bell and waited about 15 minutes and no one came. So we left and went to lunch. Came back and they finally checked us in and let us have our room. The room is clean, smells a bit weird but comfy bed and overall decent room. Like I said, you get what you pay for.

Horrible. I would rate 0 if I could. We got 2 rooms to stay for 1 night, the air never cooled the room over 2 hours, you had to be sitting directly in front of it. There were spider webs in the rooms. The fire alarm wasn't even connected. Nothing matched in the rooms, different tvs, microwaves, sinks. There was a wash cloth left on our shower head. The rooms smelled funny. I'm pretty sure there were drunks down the hallway from us which were probably smoking weed as well because we smelt it. There was a hole between the room and bathroom in the floor, big hole in one beds' comforter. Awful. Felt like a scary/gross motel you'd see in the movies. We ended up getting our money back and going to the Holiday Inn down the road

Lovely hotel. Pet friendly and the cheapest pet friendly hotel around. The door was a little rough opening but other than that I have nothing to complain about. Beds were sooo comfy, everything was cleaned and when we got to our room the front desk called to make sure everything was clean and in working order. I feel like everything was updated since the people with bad reviews stayed. Our room had a flat screen tv, microwave and mini fridge. The wifi worked great you just have to get the password. AC unit worked great too. All over it was a very nice experience.

It won't let me put no stars!! Worst place I've ever been. I made reservations and got a confermation #. When I showed up they said sorry we don't have it!! They did get me the two rooms I requested. After paying and going to our rooms. Well OMG the drywall was falling down in the bathroom no smoke alarm carpet ripped up in places. After we got back from dinner we tried to shut the door it would not close. I called office with no response. I talked to the owner the next day and he said that he thought everything was fine. I might add they said the pool was in good working order. Lol their was no water in it.DO NOT STAY HERE !!! Place needs tore down.

I highly recommend this place very quiet, clean and comfy beds, nice TV and always Hot Water The New Owners are so nice and very accommodating to the needs of guests Location is perfect there are all major fast food restaurants across the street, Dollar General in Lot next door, Laundromat across the street, Movie Theatre also and if you like Thrift Stores, there s a Goodwill also, there s a Penguin Purified Water Refill Station all these are within a 5 minute drive and 7 minute walk Historic Downtown Tell City Main Street is about a 12 minute drive and the Historic Railroad Station on the River where they give information and maps to all the Wineries and Restaurants and attractions There is Fiesta Grande Mexican Restaurant in the same parking lot, it has pretty good food and excellent margaritas The Border to cross over to Kentucky is maybe 3 miles down the road This is my second stay in 2 months at the Best Budget Inn Highly, Highly Recommend

Worst place to ever think of staying!!! We couldnt even stay the night because is was so Nasty. The only reason I gave them a 1 satr is because I couldnt give them a zero or negitive star. The best part about this hotel is the pool. The room was DISGUSTING AND DIRTY. There was a bag of trash under the bed, the sheets were dirty with stains. And ine of the beds didnt have a fitted sheet so when we called them they brought us a new sheet and that one was also stained, the shower didnt work and all of the furniture was also stained. The guy that worked there was halpful but the owner was a discruntal, dishonest and mean. Also we tried to use the microwave and it knocked out the power in our room, there we also only 2 outlets in our room that worked. We paid for 2 nights through priceline, we checked in between 6:30 -7pm and checked out at 10pm, the owner offered us another room but after you see how nasty the room was we did now want to stay we asked for a refund but the owner said that he would onky refund us for 1 day, we asked for both days because we were not staying either day. He lied and said that we has been there for 7 hours and since we came and checked in and used the pool that he wouldnt give us a refund. I explained to him how disappointed and dissatisfied we were and that we were leaving and he said we could just get out of his place because he was not going to refund us any more. I told him that we had only been there for 3 hours and we were in the pool for most of that time. He said when we got there that we only had 10 minutes to look at the room and determine if is was good enough to stay in, i asked him where that was written? He said that it didnt matter because he wasnt giving us our money back.... Please check our pictures we are going to post. DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!!

The hotel room was filthy. After taking care of cobwebs we realized our room didn't have toilet paper or Kleenex. The blanket on our bed had nasty stains all over it and looked like it hadn't been washed. They looked at us like we were crazy when we took it down there and asked for a different blanket. The cable TV didn't work in our room the whole time we were there. The older man at the front desk was extremely rude to us, my only guess is he acted that way because we are a married gay couple. This is a horribly ran hotel and I do NOT recommend it to anyone.

Was there July 21st with friends for a girls trip. We each had out own room . My best friend and her gf booked a room with a king size bed.. Were informed when we arrived they had NO rooms with a king bed..one strikeThe outside by most of the doors had spider webs along with huge spiders on them..second strikeMy room was not clean floor not vacuumed properly.. And both rooms bathrooms were well bathtub looked like it hadn't been scrubbed clean properly and the sinks look like cheap metal with tile overr them..smh third strike!Then I had the cleaning "crew" knock on my door while I was asleep waking me up asking "You stay or checking out?" ..um really!? Never had I had a hotel cleaning crew come to my door and knock to ask that! It was rude! Fourth strike..I will never stay here again! If I could not even give it 1 ..0 is more like it

DO NOT STAY HERE! Disgustingly filthy. Would not let us cancel. Booked 2 nights. Stayed 1. Getting upstairs to room trash all way to room. Old TV bad pic. Could not get wifi even tho it says not knocked. Mid July POOL EMPTY trash, paint peeling it obviously hasn't been used in yrs. 2 of the worst The mattresses nasty probably 20 yrs old. Showered & laid wet towels on floor next am they were brown and yellow apparently cleaned a floor that hadn't been cleaned since mattresses were bought. I took pics Health dept needs to be notified. And will be! $83. Reserved room over phone gave credit card # and suspicious I had to give it again. No sitting room. I could go on & on about the filth & false advertisement. Plz for your health, safety from falling over hall be trashed & purse. DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY NEED TO BE SHUTDOWN. I will screen shot this incase they delete. Scary...there were "residents" sitting outside of their rooms smoking and drinking, the people and cars around looked a little rough. The room was tidy but did smell stale and we chose to only use the bathroom for the bare necessities (after looking for inconspicuous peep holes-none found!!! It was me, my child, my friend, and her three kids after spending a whole day at Holiday World. Needless to say, we checked all the windows and door multiple times to make sure we had everything as secure as possible. The office staff was fairly friendly.

Nice pool. Rooms need to be updated. Very friendly people here.Rooms: The double bed room is big. The rooms definitely need some updates. But not a bad place to stay.Noteworthy details: The pool was very well maintained and nice.

Nice for the price, good location to stay for holiday world and safari. Pool was a plus! Conveniently located next to cute Mexican cantina they had huge margaritas! Good time.
