You will not find a more honest and knowledgeable transmission shop in the state of Indiana. Tom and his partner have had this business for 30 years. When Tom gives you a quote it will be for the entire repair. Other transmission shops lure you in with a cheap quote and then tack on for this part and that part. Vetter Transmission works only on transmissions.transmissions.

Tom read the codes and diagnosed my truck within a minute or two and charged me NOTHING !!! What a rarity in this day when most places want 50 bucks just to pull your car in the shop. He even gave me a great recommendation on where to have the repair done since it wasn't transmission related. I know if I ever have a need, I'm coming to Vedder's.

Thank you to Tom and everyone that worked on our Toyota camper. We are a traveling gospel music ministry from Iowa. We crawled into Spencer with a bad rear seal. We heard that it might take awhile to get into the shop but we only had a few days before we had to get to our next destination to minister. We went and talked to Tom and he said to bring it right over. He went above and beyond to get our camper fixed. He even made a trip all the way to Indianapolis to try to find a part. He also noticed that the U joint was shot and fixed that too. He got it all fixed up. Tom you have no idea how much you blessed this family and we pray blessings for you. We are back on the road and heading to do more work for the Lord.So if you need good transmission work done by very friendly, caring folks, go to Vedders. They are the best!!! God bless you all!! I thought I needed a new transmission, my car was shifting hard in all gears. It turned out to be a bad TCM connection. $65 later I was out the door and my car is shifting great. I love places that doesn't just want your money.Before you think about replacing your transmission I would suggest bring your car here. fast, friendly and reasonable.A++

Not fur sure about this place. I have heard they were dependable and honest, so I tried them to help my son; I was shopping for my son who is 18. My son who worked all summer long for our company had a transmission go out and called these people who assured me 6800 would be the final cost for a heavier rebuild for his transmission. After making sure; absolutely sure, that $6800 of my sons money was all the boy was going to spend, I decided to pull the trigger. When we returned, it was 400 higher. All I could think was he didnt keep his word. We just paid it. Will I return? Only for warranty work that I hope never happens but thats just me. He told me explicitly one thing then explicitly did another. My 2 cents anyways.

Top quality work. I have been using Vedder's since the early 90's and always the best and most honest there is. A transmission I had them build in 2008 now has over 100,000 miles on it and still going strong.

What an awesome owner. He does great work and is a very carasmatic person. He helped me out, I was in between moves and my car died. He worked with the company in the area I was in and covered my transmission repair. Please support this business

Had my turbo 350 rebuilt for my nova a few years ago. Transmission was built strong and shifted great. Held up to the abuse of a 400hp small block. I recommend anyone needing transmission work done to give them a call.

These guys are the best in the business. Honest and as straightforward and helpful as can be. They also know everything there is to know about transmissions as a result of being in the business for so many years. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else, and I've been a professional mechanic before. Eleven stars out of ten. A+++++++++++ all the way.
