Good customer service but they won t say when they can t do the job. My car went to the job 3 times and up to now it s still not fixed . After 3 days the check light still comes on and I paid a lot and still finishing pay. It s been almost a year now and my car still have the check engine light on because I m tired going back to TMT

Outstanding company, one of the best auto repair shops I have had contact with. Steve, the South Bend manger is fantastic. We had a broken axle on our Ford Escape, I was from out of town and he got us right in and had it fixed in hours. They let us have a loaner car while we were waiting. I would recommend TMT every time.

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE!Went in hoping to get my wife's car fixed and had read that they have free loaner cars ( they are not free, you have to be apart of their car care club which is $140 alone) which currently, we couldn't be without two cars so that seemed to work out for us. We showed up to drop off, they wanted $140 for the car care club loaner rental and then $180 for the diagnostic. Not great, but its the options we had in the moment. After them looking into it all they came to the conclusion that her car had a bad PCM and had a quote for $1800 to fix it. Wife called back to get it started and they said they could not order parts or start work until we came in the next day to put half the money up front. Overnight after looking into it we decided that the cost of parts and labor was way over what we were seeing that it should be so decided we were just going to not do it right now and hold off. Went in to get our car back and they told us that they had decided to order the parts without us signing anything or putting any money upfront as they had told us before and that we were not allowed to have our car back until at least $1500 was paid for it.They also took back the rental car at that point even though we paid to be able to use that. So we left with no rental, and they kept our car from us overnight saying they would not release it or the keys.It took getting in touch with a lawyer and looking into legal action before they finally decided they were going to give us our car back and act like it was a favor they were doing us by saying we only need to pay a $60 restocking fee now.So in total I spent over $400 at this "auto repair shop" and hours dealing with how to get our car back that we own, and looking into legal action before it was given back and we are back to where we started and still have car issues. This is the most deceitful auto repair shop I have ever dealt with attempting to try and prey on people who have no other options or ideas on what rights they have to their vehicle and attempting to price gouge and force them into whatever repair they decide you need. I would not recommend nor go anywhere near them ever again.

I always feel as if I'm taken advantage of because I'm an older woman. It feels that a brake job and tires should not have exceeded $2000. However, because I'm no expert it's easy to be taken advantage of. The guys were nice enough. I just know that a person on a fixed income should at least be considered for a senior discount. It's always the up sale that annoys me.

Nice and very clean environment very friendly service, went for an oil change, they did a whole diagnostic test I wasn t pressured and to fixing anything or anything on there. It was free and I basically just got my oil changed and I was glad I wasn t pressure into getting anything else. I didn t leave out feeling like I was robbed.

One-Star Review for TMT Automotive in South Bend, IndianaI want to share my one-star experience with TMT Automotive, and I hope my review can help others and ultimately TMT. My disappointment stems from a misdiagnosis of my father s vehicle's issues and a subsequent billing dispute.When my father's car broke down during an out-of-town trip, TMT Automotive diagnosed a bad battery, alternator, and starter. He authorized these repairs, believing these components had been tested and confirmed as faulty.However, TMT Automotive later discovered a locked-up engine, a crucial detail their junior mechanic initially missed (I do appreciate them sharing this information). Feeling uncertain about their diagnostics, I requested the release of the car to have it towed back to Indianapolis. They insisted on payment for their time, installing and removing the parts they had diagnosed as bad. I felt the charges were excessive and attempted to negotiate a lower amount. Although they reduced the bill from an initially unreasonable figure, they still required payment for what I suspected were inaccurate diagnostics.When I requested to speak with the owner, I was promised a call that never came. Upon following up, I was informed there was no need for further discussion; I had to pay the amount and that was final. I complied and settled the bill.After a trusted mechanic replaced the motor, we discovered the alternator and battery were fully functional. It's possible that the starter was damaged during attempts to turn over a locked-up engine due to inaccurate diagnostics.I have been driving the car with these supposedly faulty parts for the past two weeks without issue.This experience has left me disappointed, and I caution potential clients to carefully consider their services. Your caution can save you from similar experiences.******Update*******After I originally posted this review, I was immediately contacted by TMT. They reflected this in their posting to my review, but I do not agree with their comments about how that conversation went. That conversation consisted of them telling me if I remove the review entirely, they will refund all of my money.For the sake of brevity, I will try to keep this short Bottom line I tried to negotiate a deal that would be both good for my father and TMT automotive. Ultimately, I declined their offer I would have edited my review to reflect their willingness to work with me had they been willing to do so. They were only interested in the review coming down.

Went to get a sudden type pressure alert checked out. Was a super cold day with lots of snow. They checked it right away filled all three tyres and refused to take any money! Will certainly be back for car stuff from now on - great customer service!!!

My car had been down for a few weeks and I decided to give Tmt a try they diagnosed the car and came up with a quote of 1900$. I work for a living and it is around Christmas time so I don't have that much to spend at once in which I told them I was able to make weekly payments towards the total amount . They then told me they couldn't keep the car there and would call the bank I financed through to get the title if I didn't have the full amount by the end of the day . Mind you my car had only been in a week.i trusted these guys to help me get my car fixed and be able to get back and forth to work . Not to lose my car . I'm not looking for any compassion, just here to let everyone know they do not care about their costumers , only the money the can get from you. Mind you I only a tune up , and an oil leak fixed. I'm am out of a car but I am never going to refer anyone to tmt .

Please I warn you don't take your car to this rip off place.They didn't fix our car and we were out of 380 dollars to get it diagnosed.Then after they said a timing chain was needed for the car over the phone when we went to get the car and asked how much was it going to cost all of a sudden a motor was needed.. They are so wicked and liars do not take your car there you will regret it.

Well, looks like my review was deleted or was never posted. So, here I go again.I was left without running vehicle and a disassemble engine at ($ 1400.00-i had to pay for) in pieces. Didn't even put my headlights back in place! After having to pay for oil change, ignition coils, and flush i believe ( but my engine is in pieces) don't make sense.After having my vehicle sitting in tmt for a month. They wanted a another $1,400 to reassemble my engine. This shld have been communicated during the initial phone call and not afterwards. This one reason why I dont care for local mechanic shops. They sneaky when it comes to women. They dnt know what to do with foreign vehicles!Im highly pissed with the communication and service!

I live in Dallas TX and this shop checked out my stepson car. I own my own repair shop and was hopeful this shop was honest like I am and they are. It's refreshing to know there are great shops out there doing the right thing. 10 stars

I recently contacted this service center for a quote on replacing the AC pump compressor in my Honda CRV, which is currently inoperable. To my disappointment, they informed me that they do not provide quotes or rough estimates without having the vehicle on-site. While I understand the importance of assessing the car in person for accuracy, I was hoping for at least a ballpark figure to help me make an informed decision. This lack of initial pricing transparency left me feeling frustrated and uncertain about proceeding with their services.Response to response:Thank you for taking the time to explain your pricing policy, and we appreciate your commitment to accuracy. I really appreciated how personable the people there were. Their waiting area was comfortable and they definitely set a relaxing atmosphere while I waited. I m pretty skeptical when it comes to what is promised and what is actually delivered.. From the moment I called in I felt comfortable. My questions were answered, they listened to my concerns and actually addressed them. Joined their Car Care Club because it s an amazing deal. The gentleman who worked on my car advised me of everything and didn t try to sell something that wasn t needed. I ll be back that s for sure!! This was my first time using this auto repair shop. Staff was very friendly, skilled, and figured out what was wrong with my car right away. They went the extra mile to repair what they could at lowest cost to me as well. While traveling through South Bend in our RV, we had a check engine light displaying on our dashboard. Spoke with Brian at TMT Friday afternoon, brought the vehicle in for diagnostic evaluation on Monday morning. Parts where ordered and they estimated the cost for the repairs.. Brian and his mechanics worked to solve all the problems without increasing the estimate until we were happily back on the road..Services: Tires, Auto engine diagnostic
