I had such a great experience here at Skiles. Timmy did such a great job installing my windshield wipers and checking for any other issues. I would 10/10 recommend bringing your car to Skiles Automotive Services!

Very pleased with my recent experience with Skiles Automotive Service. Was having an electrical issue with my old F-250 and also needed an alignment after some front end work and they were able to get me taken care of.

Wonderful experience!! Took my Nissan Frontier in for a much need oil change. Maybe took half an hour. Really didn t even notice because I was waiting in the big clean waiting room which was a nice surprise. John waited on me and he was very personable and friendly. I will definitely continue to support this small business. In this day and age it was a refreshing experience.

My fianc� and I called them Thursday right before they closed, they let us get our car towed and Friday let us grab our baby stroller before they started working on it and had the car completely fixed by the time we got back into town that afternoon and texted us two days later to see if everything was running good on the car. Definitely will start going to them from now on!

Our car broke down in South Bend (we are in Omaha) while our son was driving through. I chose Skiles Automotive Service from their reviews, and I made the right choice. They they were prompt and honest while we communicated over the phone. They tried to fix the issue, but the repair wasn't worth the cost. They provided good information and options without any pressure to spend more money. I hope this never happens again, but if it does Skiles will be my first call!

Have been to this location a couple times. Originally took my truck for JUST an oil change before a trip. They advise I have some work done on suspension as it was dangerous to drive on. Ok sure, paid the $400. Also advise I have my brakes done since the wheels were off, additional $400! No thanks, I'll do that myself. Took my wife's van in today to have diagnostic done and auxiliary battery tested. They called and it was the battery. Would cost over $550 JUST TO REPLACE THE BATTERY! No special battery, the same one I can get at the store for $130. They said the battery is tough to get to and would take a couple hours (which is why the price was high as well). Just watched a novice do it on youtube in under 15 minutes. This place is absolutely ridiculous with their pricing and from the talk of neighbors after my experience, they aren't very good at what they do either. Will not be going back or recommending to anyone.

The work was performed with updates along the way. They ran into a snag and were not able to get the work completed as expected. They gave me a nearly brand new loaner to drive over the weekend free of charge. The work was completed the next business day. Great work, but even better customer service!

Wry positive experience. Had an oil change and showed me what will need to be done on my vehicle! Done in a timely manner!! Explained everything and gave me an estimate of what it would cost to fix! I will be returning for more work!

I was amazed at how fast I was able to get an appointment to see what was wrong with my car. I am so pleased with Skiles Automotive! They were able to diagnose, and fix my car that day. One of the parts I needed was not in the shop, but they called a local dealer that had it in stock... and they were able to have it delivered within the hour. Did I mention that they gave me a free loaner car so I could get to work? The customer service is outstanding...and in my opinion... they went above and beyond. They even do oil changes! I will 100% be back for routine maintenance check ups as well! Thank you, thank you!

Went for my routine oil change - always a great price - upon inspection they found a couple things that need to be addressed and had a great print out that was easy to understand with prices - I think thats a great bonus for my husband and I . Customer service is also the Best !!! Thanks Skiles we will be back

This is our new "go to place" for our car service. Matt was our service advisor. He was great! All the staff were friendly and professional. The waiting room was like a 4 star hotel. The staff was friendly. Service was quick. Had a coupon for synthetic oil change for 25.99. They had free snacks. Only issue I have is that once my car hits the 5k mark for oil change maintenance light goes on and is supposed to be reset. So now every time the car is on the maintenance light is on. Guess it's not that big of a deal

I took my Honda to Matt and John for an oil change and they looked everything over and showed me i had some problems around the axils and the tires had threads showing thru.After I got tires I went back and had the rest of the work done.One day the job was complete and the estimate was the one they gave me.It's hard finding honest mechanics and these guys are.I also had them check a truck for me and they told me it could be very costly so I appreciated their honesty and will scrap the truck.Great guys.Give them a try and I think you'll be glad you did

We needed service for our 2011 F150.The appointment was easy to set. The expected time frame was met. All staff were very professional. We expect to get many more years from this truck, and are always happy to use local, family-run businesses. They are now our go-to for service! I was disappointed . Had it planned to pick up a loaner on Sunday and my car would be in the shop all day Monday. There was no loaner. I am thankful, tho, that of the five vehicles that were in the lot, nobody left their keys under the floor mat. I had no idea what the loaner was going to be, but I was told that the keys will be in there..I understand things happen.. l ll keep looking for a mechanic.

Service Manager, John Pickard, was helpful and explained what service was recommended now and later. He explained everything before and after my service. Service was Old School . I ll definitely be a return customer.

Tried Skiles (South Bend) for the first time recently and had a very positive experience. Staff was excellent and great with communication and addressing questions we had. I appreciated straight forward communication, options, and no pressure. Very pleased! We'll be back!

My 2011 F150 needed the air fixed after my husband over filled it. Skiles made it easy to set up an appointment for the next day. They discovered that the condenser had a small leak and fixed that problem as well. The staff is very helpful and professional. We will be taking our vehicles to them when anything needs to be done.

Kind and knowledgeable guys here, came in for an alignment, and came out straight as an arrow . Called first thing in the morning and I made lunch with my truck, would recommend to anyone.

It's hard to put into words the appreciation and gratitude we have for Gavin and his team at Skiles South Bend location. We were headed home from a week long trip when our diesel truck broke down. We were stuck 900 miles from home on a Sunday. We reached out via the Facebook page and to our astonishment Gavin replied to our distress call. He took the time away from his weekend to help total strangers! Great guys over a Skiles Automotive! I only wish I could give more than 5 stars. Don't hesitate to go there for your Automotive needs. They are fair and honest and will go the extra mile for you and your vehicle. Thanks again Gavin!

I love going to the one in Bremen. They have done nothing but take care of me. First time using South Bend location and it was the same treatment as I get from Bremen. Upfront honest people that don't take advantage of you. They listen to you and are not like other places trying to talk you into anything you don't need. These guys are awesome.

These guys not only know what they are doing , get it done for a reasonable price , and great customer service. I have been to different mechanics and would definitely recommend after all a different mechanic couldn t even get me the right diagnostics.
