My experience with Karl Weis Body Shop was excellent. I dealt mostly with Gary, but also talked to Dennis some. Everyone was great. Repairs needed were explained clearly, they worked with the insurance company well. The delay to get our car repaired was minimal and they even did an on the spot repair so our trunk would close and lock so we could use the car during the short time we had to wait for the car to go in for repair.Finished body repair work was excellent and you cannot tell that it was worked on. Car was ready by the time promised.5 stars out of 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Both Gary and Dennis are incredibly kind! Got in a fender bender one afternoon, showed up to the shop without an appointment and they helped me right away. Some of the friendliest and most helpful people I ve met. If you need any help with your vehicle, I would 100% recommend visiting them.

They repaired the front bumper on my vehicle. You can t tell there was ever any work done! Very professional, kind, and kept me informed on the progress of my repair.I won t go any where else for my car repair

I have been in twice to Karl Weis for scraped paint on my car. Both times I was able to go in without an appointment and receive prompt, professional, and cheerful service. Not to mention they ended up buffing out the scratches for free! Their quotes are fair and reasonable, and they take time to explain them to you in detail. Can't recommend them enough!

I have used Karl Weis a few times for a body repair and paint job, bumper repair and now I needed help getting the rusty screws off of my license plate so I could put the new license plate on. They never disappoint! Beautiful quality work every single time. I would definitely recommend. Everyone is super nice, informative and professional too. So grateful for this gem!! A deer decided to try his luck by running out in front of my car. The damage he left welded my driver s side door shut and damaged the front bender. Gary was professional, quick, honest and friendly. Those are invaluable qualities to find in the auto industry- especially now with many shops experiencing labor and part delays. Took my car in after an accident last spring. Repairs took almost 2 months with several delays, little communication. Recently another mechanic pointed out damaged parts that were not replaced after the accident.

After a parked car "jumped into my husband's way", we had a bundle of scratches to show for the encounter on our 2020 Volvo. Too early in the car's life for that song and dance.Lots of reviews and estimates later, we decided on Karl Weiss, for more than one reason. Their estimate was extremely fair (and even less expensive than some others, but that wasn't the deciding factor). We were very impressed by the professionalism here. My husband also noted that they were the only company that was observant of masks. We don't always wear masks (we forget, etc.), but we were wholly impressed by the fact that they respect the diversity of viewpoints out there. You find many people these days politicizing things. Don't need that in the marketplace--do what you want when you are out and about, but at least show us that you aren't trying to cut corners by disobeying county law in your own business. They showed us they were playing by the rules--I want honesty from those working on my car. Their actions spoke volumes. If you are going to "blow off" what the county mandates, why should I trust you will be forthcoming with my car. Yes, we do business with people we believe to be wholly honest.That said, this gave us a favorable impression of the business. The clean interior was inviting, and the professionalism exuded by the owners/employees made us feel more confident in our choice.Weiss did not disappoint. I'm here to add my five-star review. We picked up our car and one cannot tell it was ever hit. Not a nick or even slight scratch in place. I mean, they are great, but I'm hoping not to visit again, for obvious reasons, other than saying, "hi." Great place.Service: Body & Trim

They did a great job fixing my car! They worked with us with the cost and insurance. Good service. Had to reschedule pick up two or three times because it wasn't done yet though, so don't count on that first time completion estimate.

We're new to South Bend and equate finding a good body shop to finding a good doctor or dentist. Recently, our vehicle slid on the ice into another car. We asked around and Karl Weiss Auto Body Shop was the common referral with everyone. Both their work and service were excellent! We had received a quote through our dealership and Karl Weiss came in $500 less, plus we received a loaner AND they detailed the car. It took the exactly the amount of time for the amount quoted. And, it turned out great!! We couldn't have been happier.

Great place. Fair price for quality of work. They won't be the cheapest but the repairs and paint work will be excellent. They painted a facia I supplied and it turned great. They also repaired the wife's SUV that was rear ended and it looks as good as new as well. Both projects have a perfect paint match. I won't go anywhere else for body or paint work.

Really impressed with Karl Weis Auto Body. Took my car in to get an estimate on the damage and received the estimate within 15-20 minutes. The work they did was quick and thorough and they detailed my car, which was a nice, unexpected surprise. Highly recommend!

The service was honest and excellent. The front bumper on my car was coming apart, and was in need of repair. Karl Weis Auto Body was both extremely fast and honest in their repair. They said they only needed to replace a few screws and clamps, and that I was set. After a quick 5 minute wait in the front office, my car was repaired. When I asked what the total was for the work, they simply said "No charge, come back when you need some real work done.", with a smile. The professionalism of Karl Weis Auto Body is un-matched. I would absolutely use their service again, as I am 100% sure their pricing would be spot on and accurate, and their work extremely professional. If you're in the South Bend area in need of auto body repair, I would wholeheartedly recommend Karl Weis Auto Body Repair.

Great Customer Service and generosity!A little over a week ago I had gotten a minor dent in my rear bumper and my partner suggest I take it to this body shop! I had never been and went for a walk-in consultation and they immediately helped me and repaired/popped out the dent for free on the spot! I was so surprised at their generosity and thanked them very much! And they responded by saying they try to help and do the right thing when they can . I will definitely be back if or when I need auto body service!

We could not recommend Karl Weis Auto Body enough. Dennis and Gary were professional and so kind throughout. My fianc�'s Grand Cherokee was hit in a parking garage and they fixed it to look brand new. They even fought for us and their high standards when they refused to put on a used door that our insurance wanted. I went for an estimate on some damage to my vehicle and they couldn't have been nicer . They have always had a reputation for doing top notch work and they have fantastic customer service also.

This is one of the best business dealings I've ever had with any company that I've ever dealt with. Very polite and professional. I needed a ride home while my car was being worked on so I could go to work and they gave me a ride home. Very upfront about everything. If I ever need body work done to my vehicle again, I know where to take it.

Karl Weis Body Shop is a top notch company where you know you can walk away feeling like you and your vehicle are in good hands. Their customer service is above superior. Everyone there truly makes sure you walk away satisfied ! That is rare!!! I would never go anywhere else.

Being a life long resident of South Bend, I was very familiar with the Karl Weis Auto Body Shop and the reputation it has earned for quality workmanship. When my auto was recently in need of repair, Karl Weis was the only shop I considered. I was extremely pleased with their work. Easy to see why the shop has been around for over 80 years!

I lost my sideview mirror while parked on the street one evening. Karl Weis Auto Body replaced the mirror at a very fair price, and they accommodated my schedule as an out-of-town traveler. Excellent business. Highly recommended.

We live in an East Coast state, and we were on a road trip to Wisconsin. We got into a small fender bender, and needed a new strut. We were referred to Karl Weis by CarX. Karl Weis couldn't perform the work. HOWEVER, the guys at Karl Weis located the strut, they ALSO called another repair shop a mile down the road, and THEN arranged for the part to be delivered in a few hours, PLUS for the repair to be done that same day. This allowed us to resume our trip without losing 24 hours. They were so friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Can't say enough about these folks!! Brought the car in for some bad scratches (lost a contest with a concrete block) and they not only repaired the scratches but touched up all the everyday scratches around the car.
