I'd give them 10 stars if possible! We've been traveling and headed back home we stopped here for a night. Location is right off the highway, easy on/off access. Within walking distance to a few restaurants. The front desk clerk Cody was awesome to deal with! So friendly and kind, amazing service. The lobby is very well decorated and clean! The room......was the cleanest room I've had in the past few years of traveling! EVERYTHING was spotless and shiny! The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. The included breakfast was a great offering, eggs (2 kinds) pancakes, sausage (2 kinds) and the usual cereals, muffins and yogurts. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling

I having the most incredible experience at Holiday Inn Express in Scottsburg, Indianathanks to the exceptional and extraordinary General Manager, Dawn, and her amazing staff!From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. Dawn, the General Manager s attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction truly set this establishment apart. I have been a manager for many years, and I know what it means to see a happy staff ready to serve It means they are being served well themselves.As a platinum member, I was granted an early check in to help me have a place to stay, while my car was being repaired. Dawn offered me a ride to the repair shop. I was also offered a room upgrade and chosen to be guest of the day! All of this, and more is making my stay so special!Dawn and every staff member have gone above and beyond to make my stay memorable. I can't praise them enough for creating such a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. I will return again and recommend you make a reservation. Highly recommended!!!

The Holiday Inn Express at Scottsburg was a great place to stay. All of the staff that we interfaced with were very pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and neat with everything in good order. The tops of the fixtures and cabinets we dust free and the filters in the air handling unit had recently cleaned filters.The breakfast area was very clean and organized with all of the food serving dishes well stocked with food at all times. As soon as someone left the area after eating the attendant was cleaning the tabletops and chairs for the next guest. The pool was crystal clear with extra towels in the area so you did not have to bring a towel from your room. The exercise room was well stocked with equipment that was in good condition, The only fault that I saw was the "smokers" bench area outside had a lot of butts on the ground. While this is due to the guests, it would be nice to educate them to field strip their butt and put the filter in the trash can just inside the entrance.I commend management for their attention to details with the facility and staff training. The building is about 25 years old and has been well maintained. Keep up the good work.We will stay at this facility again when in the area.

Always a pleasure to visit here. Staff is awesome and beds are comfortable and clean. We see Cody, the night manager often and he is helpful, funny, and kind. We enjoy our stay every time we are passing through, so thank you for making our stay so great!!Rooms: Comfortable and clean.Safety: Secure and safe in the area.Food & drinks: Nearby food/restaurant varieties.Noteworthy details: Friendly Staff

We were traveling back from our trip Cody was at front desk on a Friday night I was exhausted Cody was so help with restaurants lobby was decorated nice our room was clean bed was so comfortable so was pillows I would recommend this hotel breakfast was delicious Nikki was putting enough food out you didn t have to wait she was making sure everything was filled up coffee was fresh Nikki kept tables very clean she did a excellent job you can tell she liked her job

This is simple no frills hotel right off the freeway close to several stores. What set it apart is the service, friendliness of the staff & daily housekeeping. We stayed for 3 nights during a family reunion & were impressed by the staff. Everyone was kind, helpful & efficient. Breakfast looked typical for a hotel at this price point with a good variety of items to choose from. Rooms were clean & daily housekeeping was a nice surprise. Pool was clean, though we didn't swim we did see it being used daily. We will stay here next time we are in town.

The guy Jeremy that worked the front desk during the day, was very helpful, polite anytime we needed anything it wasn't a big deal. The girl who works nights is amazing personality, made our stay enjoyable! The breakfast she made was over the top! The young lady that did breakfast was fantastic can't brag enough about how wonderful the staff is! Highly recommend them for your next hotel stay.Rooms: Felt very safe, the nightshift young lady did rounds up and down the halls making sure everything was perfect!

Check-In was convenient and easy. Room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable. Overall appearance and cleanliness of the hotel public areas were also well maintained, and clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was above and beyond our expectations with a wide variety of offerings including hot items, fruits, danishes, juice, etc. we would definitely stay here again!

Horrible experience! I thought you could count on Holiday Inn for quality. Sure not at this one. Room was old, dingy and outdated. Was told it had a king.bed which was false. It was a queen size bed. Unable to switch because needed mobility accessible room. The absolute minimum had been done to to make the room accessible. The bed was beyond awful, it was a mattress on a frame NO box springs. Extremely hard to get up from for a person with back issues.Should have just requested a refund and went elsewhere. We had been traveling for 10 hours and were tired and not familiar with area.If this was my first experience with Holiday Inn I would never go to another one. Actually, doubt I will ever stay again. Not when Holiday Inn has their name on a horrid place like this one.The desk clerk was not at all concerned about these issues. Even stated the mattress was new, that it had just recently been placed in room. What kind of business would buy a used, lumpy, saggy mattress with no box springs.

Absolutely excellent hotel perfectly clean the carpets bathroom bed all of it as clean as can be no weird odors like in some hotels no smell of smoke or pets. Good location right next to Cracker Barrel there are other eateries nearby. The bed is comfortable the pillows comfortable I couldn t be happier especially after a very long day of traveling. Thank you Kimberly that did such a good job cleaning this room (per card in room). Excellent job everyone that works here. PS friendly staffRooms: Super cleanSafety: Very safe

I stay in a lot of hotels in this was so far the best even the Hampton inn didn't stand up to these standards food was really super good the bed slipped so comfortable the price was reasonable front desk was super helpful with all my needs. Very clean comfortable will definitely let my company know so everybody can start staying here definitely will be back thank you guys for a very comfortable warm stay with great foodPS I don't eat pancakes but they had a really interesting pancake maker that made them fresh

The room was a wheelchair accessible room and it was a very decent room. It was spacious and clean enough. Came with a big bathroom that had a shower chair as well as a shower head that was handheld in addition to the normal shower head. The pressure wasn't very good but still, 2 thumbs up on the bathroom. The king size bed was super comfy!! LOVE the bed!! It's firm but soft, 5 stars for the bed! Has USB outlets bedside and at the desk. Has alarm. Has a small refrigerator. Has Keriug coffeemaker with K cups (3). Nice size tv with Direct TV. Soft pillows! Has a bathtub if you need that with kids or what have you. The blinds were operated by remote. Pretty cool! There was Dove Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower for your use and there was Dove hand wash and lotion at the sink. That was nice!! Breakfast was yum! Cold cereal, bagels, toast, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, pancakes, packaged muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, juice (3types), milk. A little pricey in my opinion for staying the night but, overall it's nice. They have a pool inside but it's pretty small. Will do the trick though! I highly recommend this hotel!

Four Star.Pros:Large Room - Huge room!Cleanliness - Even the room air filters were clean.Sleep - Got a restful nights sleep.Staff - The young man at front desk was very polite and professional.Cons:Emails - This place has auto emails once reservations made, which is fine. But, was a little unnerved by requesting checkout info even before checking-in.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites located in Scottsburg, Indiana is a good hotel. In our opinion they could achieve the fifth star if they improved just a little bit more. See our photos to explain. An example in our room the wall thermostat is completely missing. We called the front desk after discovering this and we were told that they are aware of this issue but they didn t disclose this information when we checked in. The smoke detector has been replaced in our room but the paint hasn t been touched up. These are just a couple of examples.Rooms: The rooms are comfortable.Walkability: There are several restaurants within walking distance from this hotel. One of them are even open 24/7.

I woke up the next morning with little dots around my wrist and my arms. They were confirmed after visiting a dermatologist to be bed bug bites.On top of that the pool was slightly green and made my skin itch after being in the water only for a short period of time.I cannot recommend to stay at this location.Staff was super friendly however.
