The manager, Victor, and staff are great. They helped me get new break pads and coolant. Safe to say, I will make this my go to place for anything I need with my car. Thank you, Victor, for being so personable and awesome!

I have been getting my car serviced here for about 2 years now. They're always kind, welcoming, funny and willing to get your vehicle back to its best condition. The manager Victor is awesome! And has great workers behind him

Vince was outstanding. He got me right in to take a look at my Honda fit, which was making funny noise. He realized it was a very simple fix and took care of it, handing me back my keys. it was no charge for today s service. I will highly recommend this location to friends and family. It s nice to know they re honest mechanics around.

Only my first time here but it certainly won t be my last. Victor was very friendly, honest , , to the point, no hassling , and I got a set of 4 new tires for a very reasonable price, and it didn t take long at all! This place is absolutely going to be my go-to for my car needs from now on.

Vic is a fantastic human being.He helped me last minute w a flat tireWithout his help I wouldn't have made it to my daughter's daycare in timeI was a few bucks short and Vic made it happen.Great person. Friendly crew.If their workmanship is as good as the people working there..Everyone should bring their vehicle to this place!Thanks Vic!To the owner:Whatever you pay Vic, he's worth it and more. It's rare to find a mechanic and manager that shows as much genuine care.After 30 minutes, it felt like talking to an old friend. They showed me what happened w my tire and fixed it without an issue.I was turned away by another shop because I have a European car. Extremely helpful. 5 other mechanics were unable to diagnose, and the 6th tried charging me $1k more than Car-X did. I was so satisfied, I brought my son s JEEP in to be repaired the next day. Fair pricing and fast repairs.

HONEST! HONEST! TRULY HONEST! AFFORDABLE! I took two of my automobiles to Car-X vs the dealer/local mechanic shop in the last month and I could not be happier!!!! No auto repair shop in my 32yrs of driving beat the service, personal attention and the quality of repairs that were made to my cars recently at the Schererville facility!! Jacob and the whole crew are simply out to do one thing, get you back on the road at an affordable price! Jacob was especially helpful explaining to me that my left front rotor on my Ford Escape was just warped. I didn t need an entirely new brake job as a few others in the area told me before I was recommended to Car-X by my wife s family. I was so impressed by the friendly and courteous attitude from the crew, I took my Toyota in 2 days later for brakes and Jacob again was beyond honest! The Toyota needed a simple brake adjustment in the rear drums vs new brakes which saved me hundreds of dollars!! These guys are just the BEST repair shop in the region/lake county Indiana by far from my experience!! Everything was explained in detail with care with attention to my questions. Jacob also took the time to explain all warranties and extra value options that were availalble to me as well! A really nice guy who is truly there to help! Lastly, would you believe they follow up a few days later to make sure I am still happy with my repairs? :) INCREDIBLE service that simply doesn t seem to exist, especially with auto repair! I cannot say enough about Car-X in Schererville! Thanks again everyone!

Liars. Called and asked about a wheel alignment. Was told a print out report would be given after the service during the phone call prior to coming to the shop. When I arrived at the shop 20 minutes later the Manager named Victor than told me the printer didn t work and I would just have to take a photo of the wheel alignment machine screen instead ! Red flag #1. They proceed to do the alignment and when they were finished Victor called me over to pay for the service. He didn t call me over to take a picture of the wheel alignment screen as promised. Red flag #2. When I asked him about this he than acted like this conversation never happened on the phone or in person !!! Red flag #3. He than became angry and unprofessional when I calmly explained to him what he promised me. Red flag #4. They couldn t provided a post alignment report because they took the car off the computer and it was already in the parking lot. These guys are a bunch of scammers and liars. Buyer beware. When I called corporate they also lied about having a regional manager call me back concerning these deceptive business practices. The apple doesn t fall too far from the tree.

Brought my Moms old Toyota in, it had an exhaust leak,the fumes were terrible, Victor showed me, it was apparent it had been repaired many,many times-Victor was very helpful to get it back to working order .Many thanks-

I had purchased an aftermarket high performance set of tail pipes for my 2007 Shelby, GT 500 and was having difficulty finding a shop willing to install them. I sent an email to CarX and within two hours. I got a call from Victor. I explained to him what I needed and he asked me if I could come in that day. Much to my surprise he took my vehicle in and installed the high-performance tail pipes with absolutely no waiting time. The job is complete in about one hour. Both Victor and his crew were very friendly and informative telling me exactly what was going on during the installation as there were a few minor glitches. I cannot thank Victor enough. He treated me fairly and honestly and I told him he made my day by getting this installation done so quickly. I would highly recommend this shop. Dan OService: Exhaust

My car has been making an odd noise for more than 6 months. After taking it in to three different mechanics, no one was able to figure out the issue. Finally, we found a mechanic that was able to fix it. If it wasn t for Vic and his team at CarX, we would still be trying to figure it out. Thank you and keep up the great work. Stopped in to get my tires balanced and an oil change. Vick was very helpful and courteous. He was able to get me right in with no wait. Service was speedy I was in and out before I knew it Great staff, excellent work done and their prices can't be beat. I definitely will be back when I'm in need of service again. I went to get a wheel alignment check and when I said it was my first time there the started treating me like I was dumb or incompetent. Then they tried to tell me my whole car was broke and it was a $3000 fix but when me and another mechanic took a look it was just a bent lower control arm. They treated me as if I didn t know anything. Don t come here unless you want to waste time and money.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Carshield told me to go to Car-X when I got there the man yelled at me and said he did not have diagnostic testing that I have to go to my car dealership. This is really bad service.

I came in person to this shop because my tire pressure light was on after driving several miles and I was refused service. 1) No one was at the counter to help customers 2) There was not any customers present in the shop. In walks a bald man with tattoos with a very unprofessional and condescending tone. He clearly did not want to provide any assistance. I told him my situation and asked for a tire inspection. He said "It won't help because you put air in the wrong tire." He assumed I did not have sense to use a tire gauge. He was dead wrong. He tells me you need to drive over two miles before the light goes off. I can assure you I have driven several miles and this light is still on. If you don't want to work find another job. I'm not sure if his behavior was racially motivated or just an employee who needs to be relieved of duty. But definitely I will be complaining to the BBB about tire inspection that is advertised but not provided.

I feel like I was profiled by this place, no eye contact short worded and very nonchalant. I came in and was told they couldn t fix my car for whatever reason, but when I called prior they said they could fix my car. I guess Black people money is no good here.

Called to get a quote on 2 tires and the guy was extremely rude and did not want to help me. Told me his computer had to be restarted and said call back tomorrow I told him I d wait and then he whined and complained on the phone. Once he gave me the quote he had no info on the kind of tires and mileage. Told me a manager could help me tomorrow. I ll go elsewhere. Hung up. I ll take my service elsewhere!!!

Wanted car checked . They had an attitude from the moment I walked in . No one came on their own to let me know to wait a few minutes. I had to ask just to get there attention and they responded like they really didn't want to have my business. Them when they finally did instead of just getting right to the issues they asked who serviced my car and I asked why did that matter, basically he didn't like that I questioned him and said i had an attitude. Not professional at all , I'm glad I didn't go thru with any work from them.

I will never come back to this place again. Came here at 1:57pm, for a oil change and there was one vehicle in the entire garage and there were 3 employees working. I had to wait 33 minutes for them to bring in my vehicle and I had to wait another 30 minutes to get my oil changed. I arrived at 1:57pm and left at 3pm for a simple oil change. Pathetic.

I am exceptionally pleased with this location. The customer service is great and the prices are extremely reasonable for any service. The manager Jacob is very professional, nice, informative, and concerned with my needs. This is definitely my place of choice for any of my automotive needs. Do yourself a favor and give them a visit. You will be glad that you did.

Great place to get an oil change! I had a busy day and was DREADING getting an oil change. Other places can take hours with the slow work. Car X is different. They are fast and thorough in their work. Definitely happy with my service. This is definitely a place I will come back to! Michael also did great work with the car. He was careful and a great people person. He's one of the best

The techs here are great! I brought my car in on a Saturday morning knowing that my wheel hub bearing was probably about to completely fail. They worked with me to make sure I got it looked at even though they were busy. Ultimately, they found which one was failing and replaced it. It was a bit of a wait but totally worth it. They continually checked in with me while I waited and showed me everything they found wrong on my car. They were very polite and sharp! I thought I might need new breaks, but they told me I had more time on them. I honestly think that wouldn't happen at every shop. I know mechanics have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge before and taken my money even when they didn't have to. These guys were honest, I can't tell you how great that feels! By the way, my care sounded great after they replaced the bearing. It has been riding smooth and sounding great ever since. Thanks Car X!!!

Had a great experience with Jacob and Larry today helping me with an after market exhaust that I installed that needed adjustment. Everything now works great. Both of them were professional, very helpful, knowledgeable, and personal. Shop is also very clean with a good selection of magazines to help pass the time. Pricing was very reasonable. Very happy and I highly recommend for your auto needs.
