Alec, Kathy and The Boat Place team did an awesome job with the entire transaction. From ordering the perfect Lowe pontoon just the way we wanted it to giving us a great trade-in price. Found them online, then met them @ the Indy Boat Show after talking with lots of dealers. Great people, fair prices & we made the drive from Cincinnati. Check them out for your next pontoon or fishing boat.

We found The Boat Place at the Indy boat show. We were shopping for an outboard motor. They had what I wanted at the lowest price I could find. Victor is the best he took the time to answer every question I had and I believe he enjoyed doing so. JoEllen and Kathy made it easier to hand over the money with their smiles and happy attitudes. So a really big thank you to all. Couldn t be happier.

Kathy was excellent to deal with throughout the whole process. She made it easy as a buyer coming from 3 hours away answering all of my questions and had everything ready to go when we arrived on the date to pickup. Total physical time spent at The Boat Place was around 40 minutes. Will definitely do business with again. P.S. They have the best pricing anywhere in the region.

I was looking for a fish & ski boat and finally found it at The Boat Place. I live 3 hours away so they worked with me by taking extra photos and worked all the details remotely. They did an excellent job of prepping the boat explaining things. Good people to do business with. Could not be happier.

We went and bought a boat trailer today but customer service was atrocious, We told the gentlemen the trailer we wanted and filled out the paper work, told us to go have lunch and come back and they would have it ready for us Great! No big deal when returning an hour later we walked in and was ignored. We asked how much longer on the trailer and was told the gentleman is building it.. okay so we waited and kept being ignored. Finally after 45 minutes later a lady comes out and tells us our paper work is ready to sign so we did. We paid for the trailer and asked where we pick it up. She said around the back and a gentlemen would meet us there. We went around back found that the spare tire placement was off. There was no one around back to greet us or talk to us about questions we had we did find our trailer with our name on it but no help in sight. We took the trailer and will make the adjustment needed but I will never do business with this place again. The younger gentleman in there does not have the time of day to even acknowledge you. Very disappointed.

Great experience from selection of our boat to pick up and orientation. Codi who assisted us with picking out or boat was extremely helpful and Victor did an excellent job with our orientation.

I was in the market for a pontoon boat to enjoy my new lake home and have heard several good reviews about a local business that would go above and beyond to meet my wants and needs. The Boat Place met all of my expectations and went well over above and beyond to earn my business for life. The entire staff, especially Kathy was very welcoming and answered all of my questions about buying my first pontoon. When arriving at The Boat Place I was welcomed just like a family gathering, everyone from the sales staff to the mechanics was eager to meet me and earn my business. I will not ever have to worry about going to another dealer for business. I purchased my pontoon at the start of the boating season and Memorial Day was just around the corner. I was shocked and very pleased that how fast I received my boat. Buying a boat from The Boat Place was simple and easy. I was in and out in a very short period of time and headed straight to the lake. I couldn t be happier and neither could they. Everyone that was involved could tell that I did make the right decision by purchasing from this fantastic business. If you are wanting to purchase or need any type of advice I would strongly recommend going to The Boat Place. Kathy is easy to talk to and will go above and beyond to earn your business and get you what you are looking for. Kathy has several years of experience at the business and also has several years of boating experience. Kathy is very knowledgeable and will treat you like family. If you are looking for a great mechanic The Boat Place can get back on the water in no time. Victor has been very loyal to the business and he will also go above and beyond and treat your boat with extra care. My wife and I were pre- qualified for financing. Had a boat picked out there and fully intended to buy it. They seemed very disinterested in making the sale and finally I asked if they would keep the boat somewhere on the property for a month, as I work in the maritime industry and would be unable to pick it up until then. Nope!We bought elsewhere the very next day.

Just bought our second boat from The Boat Place. Linda and I could not be more pleased with everyone. Traded in our first boat and received, what we felt was a fair deal. During paperwork signing learned most everyone at The Boat Place were Lakers like us. We felt like we were working with family. Fantastic folks!!

I can not say enough good things about this place. Kathy jumped through hoops knowing that I was an out of state buyer, and was hesitant about buying a boat without seeing it. She was professional and polite even after multiple phone calls and emails. She did everything she could to make me comfortable about buying a boat over 300 miles away. Kathy and the rest of their crew did a wonderful job, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great service. Thank you again!

Don't let this little off the road store front fool you. Whole the main store front is small, the Boat Place has a wide variety of boats and is a full maintenance facility. The staff is excellent, honest and professional.

We recently purchased our 2nd new boat from The Boat Place. From sales, paperwork and warranty info to explaining operation details - all staff were pleasant and personable. Thank you Alec, Kathy, JoEllen and Victor for such a nice purchasing experience. We took the boat out Saturday and are very pleased with our purchase. We even caught a few fish!

We LOVE the Boat Place. We have been shopping for years for the perfect fishing boat. After several boat shows and lots of comparison shopping, the Boat Place was always the stand out. A great family owned operation who are very knowledgeable and patient. They were very attentive and answered all our questions before and after our purchase. I highly recommend them for your boating needs. :)

Very disappointed. I have been a long-term customer of the Boat Place for 18+ years. We bought out boat there and have always had out services performed there. They suddenly decided to increase the outside storage monthly fee by 250% ($30 to $75 per month). I called and talk to one of the managers and asked if I would receive additional services for the increase, he said no. I asked what was the reason for the increase. He said to be cost competitive for outside storage they were raising the monthly rate. I can see a small increase but a 250% increase for outdoor boat storage (they have a weedy gravel backlot)?I wish the Boat Place good luck with their new business model and crazy storage rates. I will take my business elsewhere. I have found a new storage place right up the road and there are other shops that perform boat maintenance. (FYI, there are other local outdoor storage places near Racoon Lake that are much cheaper than $75 per month. Do a Google search).

We bought a Larson from them a couple of decades ago. We have only ever taken it there for anything-- parts, yearly winterizing, storage, detailing, etc... The guys in the shop area out back extremely nice and helpful. The guys inside are rude and condescending. They always act "put out" when asked where something is. Today, we decided to buy a new boat we'd looked at a couple months ago. I asked a gentleman sitting in an office right next to the showroom area "do you still have that cool boat that was parked right outside your office in the spring?" His response to me, and not in a pleasant tone, "what do you mean by cool? The color?" I felt as if he was insIsinuating that because I am female, the only thing I'd judge a boat on is its color. We are done giving them any business . There's not much competition in the Parke County area, but we will drive further to not be treated as if we're an inconvenience.

Could not have been a better experience. When driving 5 1/2 hrs you have no idea what to expect. Scott walked me through the boat and answered any questions. Kathy made the process of buying as simple as it gets.To the person who gave it 1 star..... stop by once. This place is crazy busy, and from my experience I see why. Great people!

Wonderful experience ! We traveled from Boston to buy a specific pontoon boat . Great price , great service . The whole process was smooth and enjoyable . They took the time to show us functions of the boat , the motor and the trailer . We traveled 1006 miles back home without issue !

I had been looking to upgrade from a jon boat to a bigger deep v boat for a while. After countless hours of online and in store research I kept coming back to the Boat Place because the pricing, the knowledgeable salesmen and technicians and the overall friendliness of the staff eased my fears about the transaction. Once I committed to purchasing a boat, the process went quickly and very smoothly. My wife and I love our new boat. My only comment would be that since the dealership is so close to Racoon Lake, I would have liked to have had an on the water demonstration or test drive. I may have bought a bigger boat. If I do decide to get a bigger boat in the future, this is the first place that I will be shopping for one at.

Terry, Jake, and Jo Ellen were awesome. Terry and Jake did a great job in answering our questions and Jo Ellen took extra special care in finding the best financing for our purchase. I wish all our big purchases went this smoothly! We will definitely spread the word about their service.

Buyer beware. The worst customer service sales ever. Could not even get a call back. I'm telling you.....something weird is going on at that place. Never could get a straight answer purchasing and having them do a repower installation.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.Read the other reviews...same consistent poor service/sales issues. Thanks for nothing you guys....too lazy ...and sneaky....to even call back and explain.

Purchased my boat online. The Boat Place had the best price and held the boat for me for a month till my schedule allowed me to pick it up. Staff were all top notch and had the boat ready to go when I showed up. Zero issues during the 400 mile drive back home
