Was fairly quick (to be fair I showed up at noon and there was a line)... the people were very polite and once I got in the door it took no time!

Wait times can vary. Recently I was in and out in 9 minutes, but there have been times when it has been almost 30 minutes, I guess that's not bad. I have always had courteous people. Good Location, easy in and out.

The last time I went, the woman refused to test my truck. She said it was leaking coolant. It was hot out, I had the AC running and what she insisted was coolant was just the condensation. I went to the Valpo location and the guy there tested it.Service: Emissions testingService: Emissions testing

This was fast and painless! I'm 36 years old and have NEVER had to do anything like this, being from Oklahoma, it's not required there, but it really was NO big deal.

Great customer service in the store, but talking to this one lady on the phone was awful... maybe i wasn't clear enough about my "plate sticker" but the bit kept saying "what do mean sir?" Very nice and courteous all the way to the manager I like this one in portage I live in portage so it's very convenient for me but they are very nice if you need me to missions testing you're in the area come to the one that's in

Very fast, require nothing to bring with you before getting emissions checked in my case, most of the employees are friendly, and it's about as painless of an experience as possible I'd your vehicle passes emissions. If your car doesn't and you really need it to, you will soon be appalled at the conclusion you will reach in regards to money and the amount you have to spend on "fixing" the emissions issue before they allow you to "pass". I believe you go to a partnering shop, whom guesses the issues, then you spend a couple thousand before its not fixed and they allow you to pass for the year. Kinda crazy for two cars that have been running fine, but they were 15 & 17 years old. Still never had issues prior.

Not a huge fan of this location. Actually, I'm not a big fan of any emissions testing facility because it seems like a way to keep people in an already depressed area down even more. It messes with people's livelihoods by tying their ability to drive to and from work, doctors' appointments, and school pickups with the ability to legally have their vehicle on the road. And if your car doesn't pass multiple times, no one discusses any real solutions, just kind of tell you "oh well, go back to a mechanic."This would be an okay service if emission repairs were all small amounts that anyone can afford, but some emissions repairs can go past the cost you initially paid for a used vehicle. And who here has thousands to just drop on emissions repairs, especially after paying for many other repairs that are non-emissions related?The people who test your car are decent at this location, but I don't think a lot of the workers are trained well in telling you what the next steps should be in trying to get you to pass (beyond getting it repaired). If you have a situation where repairs aren't working or the prices are too high, what should be done then? Do you just give up, lose your job, and become homeless? I don't feel like this part is covered and I assume a lot of people probably leave feeling frustrated, panicked, and confused on what to do next.Service: Emissions testing

I have been using this location for nearly ten years, and I have never had a bad experience. The employees are always fast and courteous. After visiting them again today (01/12/2022), I felt it was time to give them a 5-star review.

Got there before 9 and started to line up. People coming in after everyone else decided to line up in the other lanes. After 9 the bay doors opened and they started taking the people who came in at the end of the line and the rest of us sat there waiting. I don't see why you need to take the tickets when they don't take the people in order of when they come in. Otherwise it was fine.

As much as I despise the Communist-level governmental overreach that is Indiana's mandatory emissions test... this place is really good at getting it done fast. I was in and out within like 5 minutes.

I was super impressed! The person who did my car's test was named Hailey. She was quick and efficient! She was polite and professional! I am so glad I didn't have some of the other employees that I saw standing around not doing anything with cars lined up 6 deep in each lane! I was very please with my experience there!

Super long lines in all 3 lanes when I pulled in. Was ready to wait for a long time. To my surprise and delight, I was out in less than 20 minutes! Very efficient and friendly staff! GREAT JOB ALL OF YOU!

I've never heard of needing this service before. I was so worried my car would fail and I would not be able to renew my tags. I was such a hot mess in the line and trying to pay for my tags but the worker was nothing less than a gentleman towards me.The service is actually very fast and you can pay for your tags on site which is very convenient.

I've never been to a different place to I checked. This one is always easy in and easy out. The staff is always polite and explains what they are doing, but not in a condescending way. Everyone was wearing a mask. And, for a small fee ($10, I believe), I avoided the line at the BMV altogether.

A waste of my taxes!! This emissions testing was put in place in lake and porter county's because the steel mills were polluting the air!! Well now the steel mills have scrubbers to clean their emissions?? And the citizens of only 2 countries in indiana have to continue on with this ignorance???

I could have waited until snail mail deliver my sticker, but I paid an extra 10.00. I hot there earlier because I thought like it had been a long wait. I went fast. I feel that I shouldn't have to pay extra. I thought I could get the sticker when I have paid. Either way BMV gets you, isn't that right?
