Do not go here!Ruined my oil pan by over torque of the drain plug. Had metal shavings coming out in next oil change.Offered a refund for the oil change.Refund never came.Offered to fix it and they did nothing but smile and lie. Still leaks. They are lazy. All of them. There are some young guys there that probably care but are learning how to cut corners by the manager. You can hear how they talk about customers and former employees while in the waiting room. Truly a trash place.

Negative stars should be an option. Called ahead and they said they did the work I was wanting done. Made an appointment for drop off at 10am. Asked and they told me it would be few hours before the work was done. After a few hours I called them and they didn't even start on my vehicle. Said it was about to be looked at now. Waited another few hours and called again and this time when I called they said they were just now looking at it and would call me when the work was complete. No one ever called me so I went to location to get my vehicle and instead of getting it repaired I just got a bill for an inspection that said referred to dealer. So instead of fixing the item I wanted fixed I was charged for them to inspect parts of my vehicle that I didn't nor cared for them to inspect. This place is a complete rip off. I really cant believe I just wasted an entire day for them to tell me my tire pressure and fluid levels are all OK and paid them 70 to do it. Spend the extra money and go to a dealership. You'll end up there anyways.

Pep Boys. Good people. Car trouble and went for repair/diagnosis. Challenged to determine the problem. Lengthy and frustrating. Issue finally resolved.Bud, Service Manager, worked diligently throughout the process; took awhile to figure out what was wrong. Room full of customers and short of Technicians Bud was empathetic, for I ended up at the Shop all day.I highly recommend you frequent this Shop. Refreshing to receive this level of service.

I brought in our car for an alignment. Scheduled the appointment a week in advance. I dropped the car off an hour before my scheduled appointment. When I arrived the front desk was courteous and friendly. I asked them if they could top off my antifreeze once they were done servicing my vehicle. The told me the alignment would take an hour. Came back two hours later (one hour after my appointment time) to find that my car still had not been put on the alignment rack.Eventually got the alignment complete (I think). I asked if they topped off my fluids and they confirmed. The paperwork even confirmed. Today I had to go back and top off my antifreeze because they clearly did not top it off. A very frustrating experience, and if it wasn t for the kindness of the front desk lady then I would ve even more disappointed.

Everyone in shop was pleasant to deal with. However, appointment was at 10:30 and didn t get car back until around 5pm due to overbooking. Luckily we had dropped it off instead of waiting for it. Did interrupt plans since pickup kept getting delayed and we didn t know when would need to pick it up. Tires and rims weren t cleaned after installation. We didn t was rims and old tires before taking it in. I don t expect them to polish and shine the rims or anything but could at least clean up the glue, grease and such from the tire install. At least one tire is missing valve cap. Edges of holes for lug nuts on rims chewed up a bit. TPS light still on but they did notify us it wouldn t reset and asked we bring it back if didn t go off after driving it a day or so. I haven t taken it back in so right now that part is on me.

Worst most unprofessional staff I ve ever experienced. Drove in my truck with a flat, they had my truck for 6 hours. I called to check the status after they had it for the 6 hours and I was put on hold twice totaling 25 minutes only to be told they can t fix it and they don t have the tire to replace it. Truck never moved from where I parked it and the tech literally told me he had just looked at it 20 minutes ago. So they hadn t touched it until I called.. The tech was extremely unprofessional and rude, the lady at the front desk asked me the same questions 4/5 times, what was I calling for, what I needed, details about my vehicle. THE SAME QUESTIONS over and over again then put me on hold after every question.

Terrible experience with appointment. I called the store and was told to bring my car in the next day. I brought my car in at the specified time, just to be told I didn t have an appointment and needed to make one. I made one in the store for the next week for an oil change, spark plugs, new tires, and to look into why my brakes were squeaking so badly after this same shop serviced them the month prior. At check in the manager, Bud, recommended a tuneup and referenced a screen of prices behind him that included the spark plugs and overall fuel system flush, I agreed. He told me it could take 3-4 hours so I should drop it off. Received courtesy inspection an hour later stating I needed all new brakes and rotors(the exact work I had done with them a month prior) so I called the store to ask why and was told it was a mistake??? I hadn t heard from anyone all day so I called the store around 1:30 and was told they had about 30-60 minutes of work left. Went to the store at 4:15 after not hearing from anyone and they hadn t even started putting on the new tires. I didn t leave the shop until after 6, coupons I had were not applied, military discount not honored, and the only reason given for how long it took was that they had a lot of walkins and other appointments.

10 starts!!!!! Thank you, Mr. Bud and Mr. Jacob for assisting me before closing. I had caught a flat not too far down the road and I walked into this establishment serviced right on the spot and was out within 20 minutes.

I decided to replace my front brake pads and rotors with Pep Boys, though, I shouldn t have. The $672 estimate (I had a $40 coupon) is outrageous for brake replacement. My brother has an identical car model, a 2017 Hyundai Elantra, and for the same service, he had a significant difference in price with Malless Auto Service ($200+). I ll say that I m the fool because I didn t bother consulting him beforehand, or decide to get estimates from other shops. If you re looking to go here, you might just get an overpriced service.

The required work was performed in a very professional and timely fashion. The customer waiting area was very comfortable, and I used the coffee/tea maker there to make myself a nice cup of hot tea. There used to be a great snack vending machine in their waiting area, and it unfortunately has been removed.

My experience with this place is horrible I know I agree to make my payment with my car repair but I had a accident with my bank that did not allow me to come up with the payment now they I can t get my vehicle back I have to go to court.I would never go to pep boys again a day in my life in they over charge.hate this place if I had a choice I will sue.

If we could give them more then 5 stars we would give them 10!We had a back tire audibly leaking air. We arrived 10 minutes prior to closing. We were met with a happy face and stellar service from Devon at the front desk. We were 3 hours into an 11 hour trip. Our service technician Matt diagnosed a very serious steal belt and side wall issue. They were both willing to stay late and put new tires on. Our particular size was not stocked in the store. They made sure the tires were ordered and we were first to be worked on when they arrived the next morning.The next morning Bud kept us apprised of the progress the entire way.The service, dedication, hospitality and honesty are a testament to this staff, store and Pep Boys!We truly believe they saved us from a possible terrible outcome!We appreciate everything they did for us.Thank You!Tim and Nancy

Chris scheduled my 1971 Chevelle in just a few days to do a brake inspection and tire rotation. Everything went a Terrell came out and explained explained everything to me. I even got to see a picture of his little girl. Who he claims he not spoiling???

I was very impressed with the guys at the Plainfield,IN location. They were pleasant, quick and just awesome in general. I was from out of state and had an issue with a tire and they helped me out very quickly! Great place and great service!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!I took my car there to get an alignment, waited a good hour when i had an appointment and got there early. They said my tire rods are bad so they couldnt do the alignment. when i get back home and check them they are perfectly fine it was my wheel barring.THEY WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU. They tried too charge me $700.This business is Terrible and so are the employees.

Bud and Jake took great care of me. They listened to my concerns and were able to get me back on the road before the end of the day. As a person who typically works on his own vehicles, I am skeptical about repair shop as some them do not have the best interest at heart. I will not hesitate to use these guys in the future!! Went in with a problem. They fixed it and found a few other issues. Fast, friendly service. I almost did not take it to pep boys because I usually like small town mechanics. New to Plainfield and pep boys had same day availability. So glad I brought my vehicle here. Will return when I need more work down on any of my automobiles. Above and beyond.

Jake and Dan SAVED my biscuits!!My husband and I are from out of town and woke up from our hotel to see a screw in our tire. I called USAA (who I also love) and the tow truck came out to take the car to pep boys. Jake and Dan were so helpful and understanding they didn t have the tire but ran out to get it for us QUICKLY.The best thing of all? This was our first time getting a car towed and our tow truck driver accidentally told us not to give him the keys that forced the Pep Boys guys to change our tire in the parking lot! Talk about above and beyond to get us handled The rate and time were more than reasonable.We are so very thankful and on the road to our 8 hour trek back home thanks to these guys.Thank y all again! :)

i won t take my car to any other shop . They really care about the customer and make sure to get you back on the road as safely and quickly possible. very refreshing experience compared to most the other shops around . SUPER SATISFIED!!!
