This campground appears to be primarily permanent campers. Many are beautifully maintained sites with beautiful campers, and some of which are rather rundown. We stopped here while passing through on a long trip. The staff was amazingly accommodating. The pool is beautiful and our kids really enjoyed spending the day at the pool as well as playing mini golf. The campground itself is pretty well maintained and it is very large. Our site accommodated our 45 foot motor home and was easy to pull into and pull out of. We were there on a weekday and it was a quiet and quaint atmosphere, however I suspect weekends are far busier.

We went for service on our RV. The dealer we used to go to took weeks to get into. We had an appt for months on the books, but they closed down right before our winterization visit.I had no idea where to go. Then I found Mini Mountain offers quite a slate of services - what a Godsend! The staff there is super knowledgeable and amazing! They really helped us out!Mini Mountain is such a beautiful place! The grounds are well kept and delightfully decorated for fall. I absolutely want to camp there, it looks like a lot of fun! I'll share some photos from today, 10/21/23.

We love Mini Mountain. The owners and staff are wonderful, and have created a welcoming, very kid friendly environment. We were just there for Christmas in July. They had a golf cart parade where Santa, Mrs. Claus and all the elves passed out toys and candy to all the kids. My children love it here. They can fish in the pond, swim in the pool, play basketball, volleyball, disc golf, or mini golf. We love spending our weekends here.

We camped at Mini Mountain years ago, before the new ownership...we said we probably wouldn't come back, BUT we were looking for a last minute place to camp and they had full hook-up available. I read some recent reviews and we decided to give it another shot! We were pleasantly surprised! When we checked in we had a nice man take us to our spot...we weren't in love with it and asked if their was something available closer to the activities. He said "let me check, I want you to be happy with your site", so he was able to take us to a different site which was PERFECT! The campground used to be pretty loud with golf carts going until way past quiet hour, this time it was quiet, and the few seasonal people we came in contact with couldn't have been nicer! One even showed me where the sewer hook-up was on our site because it was covered with leaves (camped in the Fall). He also offered us wood if we needed it! The area is beautiful, especially in the fall with all the pretty leaves. The hiking trails are nice too! We will definitely be back!

There isn t much to say besides you get the best bang for your buck. It s an affordable stay and they ve got some cool amenities like horseshoe, bean bag toss, 3-hole disc golf, a pool and a few playgrounds. Overall a nice peaceful campground.Restrooms: I definitely recommend walking around with sandals on when you go to shower. When my group went the floors were kind of moldy.

I read a lot of the reviews about this place, older ones were not very flattering. Some of the newer ones sounded better so I decided to give this place a shot.I was glad I did! They have obviously been trying to improve the place. Have lots of events all summer and all the holidays year round. Staff is nice and helpful when they can. Sometimes have issues with water down in the "meadows " but respond quickly. No more riff raff, very quiet every night even on weekends! Stayed here for several months, reasonable electric and space rent. Bottom line, would I stay here again? Absolutely! Not a 5 star place but definitely worth the money.

Beautiful campground with plenty of great views hiking trails and activities for all people. The swimming pool is magnificent. The woods are very thick and filled with amazing trees. Plenty of shaded sites and sunny one as well. The place is up on a large mini mountain for real. Full disclosure from 1985 until 1995 Mini Mountain was my family's Spring Summer and early Autumn retreat from school work and stress. My joy filled memories and friendships were a result of the campground and it's facilities. My sister and friends constructed a three level fort with basketball hoop in the woods behind the main building. I hope more families and singles are able to participate and appreciate God's blessings. Attend!!!!

If you just read the past reviews and dont give this place a shot, you're passing up a nice spot to camp. We have been here 2 weeks now and have really enjoyed our stay. Zero issues with power, water, or sewer. The sites aren't level (see mini mountain in the title) but the views are outstanding, everyone is friendly, kids playing on the playground everyday, events daily, clean pool, renovated bath house, working washers and dryers, and well stocked store. Close to major attractions in the area, great staff, quite hours observed, and fair prices...will be back for another month in the future.

We read the reviews & was a little nervous when we booked this for our family trip over Laber Day Weekend, but we had a blast the seasonal's were friendly the guy behind us was so nice he moved his vehicle so we could pull-through & make a buddy site. His wife brought us jello shots to welcome us. They showed us to our site & made sure we didn't need any help getting set up. The owners were around visiting & very friendly. We will definitely be going back maybe our new seasonal spot. Lots to do for the family from trails, pool, fishing, putt-putt, play grounds, there are lots of picnic areas, you can bring your golf cart & your pet. If you love camping & don't mind dirty you will love it.

I really enjoyed myself at the campground.. This is my 2nd time being there. And I will go back next week. The Staff is very nice and helpful.. The other campers in the park are very nice, and I have made some good friends there. I highly recommend this campground, everything works I had no issues with service. The campground is kept clean by the staff and the campers.

Been staying here for a couple of months.Management and employees friendly, helpful. From reading old posts, this place has gotten a lot better than it used to be. Lots of families enjoying themselves. Music and events for most holidays, overall I would not hesitate to stay here again. You can see efforts being made to improve the park.

Tried to cancel and they claim there is a no refund policy. There is nothing in writing. No email stating that. And nothing was on their website. I have small children and would not have booked if they had a no refund policy. Apparently no one can help me on site and the manager is only there on the weekends. Now I can t get the manager to call me back. I have left several messages week after week. We camp all the time and I have never encountered such an issue with a campground. Very disappointed in the communication and will be contacting BBB. I had to dispute charges through my credit card as that was my only option left.

Check it in was easy & fast. Front desk attendant was friendly. We have a 36' travel trailer which did fit in the site but we had to unhook. Water pressure was very good. Electric worked as well. Sites are unlevel so you should plan on that. We were located on J9, it was a good site. That location seems to be less busy and not as many seasonal regulars. We did not have to visit the showers or restrooms because we had our own. I did use the bathroom up by the fishing pond and it was clean and a typical campground bathroom. Fishing was good, pond is definitely stocked. We caught many blue gill and seen another guy catch 2 bass within minutes of casting his line. Fish bite instantly. Did not visit the pool. We would stay here again.

Mini mountain people there are very respectful they help one another they have quite a few things on the inside that you could buy candy other certain things ice cream pop milk we have a swimming pool outside and be ready for spring run this place are young and very experienced on taking care of whatever needs that you have and they have a lot of respect for the people that are there camping now as well as newcomers that are becoming in spring I say this campground is a 10 in my book because it's close to home and it's an awesome place to visit and you have a lot of stuff and around there is Notre Dame college is not that far downtown South Bend casinos and other things that you would like to do

Ladies at front desk are very kind and helpful. The most affordable spot to stay year round or even seasonally. Everyone in the campground is very kind and interactive also. They have showers and bathrooms and full hook ups with sewage as well as primitive camping. Not much for trails, but worth a small stroll. We parked and looked for frogs a few times. Then would leave the RV there while we took our car to different scenic spots and hiking areas. Definitely worth a night stay. Would love to return one day!

We got there at night, and driving around in a 30 ft camper was a bit scary. It literally is a mini mountain! The owner and other campers though were amazing! They helped us back into a tight spot without any issues. Hook ups need updated, when I opened the electric panel the lid fell off. The water hook up was broke down in the pipe and sprayed all over my neighbors electric panel. There was another water hook up on our site that worked just fine, so it ended up being fine. It s a fun campground to walk around, with the hills and trails. Lots of campers have permanent sites, and the dress them up, which makes walks entertaining. We ll be back.

It took us about an hour to check in. The office was closed two hours early. I knew where our campsite was so went to set up and found someone else was on our site reserved 3 months prior. It took 5 phone calls and 45 minutes to get someone to come to the office and get us checked in.The campgrounds are in disrepair. The pool water was green. The mini-golf is closed from lack of maintenance. The roads are full of pot holes or are dirt / mud. Much of the grass is worn away. The campsites aren't marked or are poorly marked. The bathrooms are not cleaned and the doors are literally off the hinges both front and stall doors. I almost fell off the toilet cause it wasn't secured to the floor. The speed limit wasn't enforced. There seemed to be a golf cart race through the grounds at about 1030 our first night. The rest of the time the golf carts are flying through there with beer in hand. Then, there are the weekend warriors that just come out there to get drunk and fight with each other. The yelling and swearing didn't start until quiet hours started. One of them decided it was a good idea to drive after drinking all day. So, off the road they went and more yelling, swearing and door slamming ensued. I called the office to complain and they sent the maintenance guy 20 minutes later with a tractor to get them out. I called again and no answer, go figure.

Really cool place and community feel. Enjoyed my time and the people are great. Camped in tent where the campers were located. It was nice we kept the spot because the camper rental fell through but brought tents instead. Didn't want to cancel trip because of the camper. So happy we didn't go where the tents were located because its right in the sun and were the campers are located was lots of shade and close to bathrooms. I can't wait to go back.

Our reservation email said check-in was flexible. We arrived 15 mins after the office closed (no where in the email did it say to call if arriving after 7), called the after-hours number listed on the door multiple times, left voicemails and no one replied. Got to the point where we just drove in and found an empty spot to set up camp. 24 hours later we got a call asking if we were going to show up for our reservation... Um, yes, we're already in the campground. There was trash all over, felt bad for our dogs because there was broken glass. Fire pits needed to be cleaned out. Thought maybe we were just in a part of the grounds that hadn't been opened for the season yet (because no one ever checked us in), but no because the next day there were other campers next to us (assuming they got checked in). The bathrooms were not good. My husband described the men's bathroom as "one step above an outhouse." I don't think the women's was as bad as that, but they still were not good. I definitely did not want to shower there.

We were there for a funeral very acomidating . Mostly clean there a few full timers there that could do a bit better on there area but you are not on top of each other . We had a nice view and it is lit very well .The drive on the park needs some work but all and all its a very nice place i would be back for sure if I needed to come back to New carlisle.

This place is decent from a facility standpoint ... I second the opinion that the pool is indeed NOT heated no matter the claims ... We ended up here one time because all other campgrounds in the area were full. We much prefer the state parks ..In any event, we never returned for a variety of reasons. It is not very well kept, it is cramped, it is full of a (lets be nice and say) "a less discriminating" client base ... We (the camp in general) had multiple visits from the "Po Po" over the single weekend and were there for a variety of reasons normally associated with said "client base".Look around. This place is a last resort ...

I checked in to the Campground. Got thoroughly turned around drove down the wrong road. Saw some ladies that offered to show me the way to my site. Which had a picnic table that had a huge hole in it. Boards so rotten I wouldn't have sat on them for fear of them breaking. My sewer hook up was within inches of the neighbors picnic table. Overall appearance of the park was horrible. I didn't even unhook my trailer. Went back to the office and they refused to refund my money. They said you can come back some other time. Definitely NOT. Place was a dump

If you're just passing through and need a quick hook up for a day or so this is ALL this campground is good for. The staff are unfriendly and don't take time to inform or offer assistance to customers. My entire experience during my one month stay here was beyond HORRIBLE! I felt unwelcome and like a burden to the staff. I wasn't shown or informed of ANY of the amenities available here; nor was I properly informed of the low water pressure, lack of sewage, or the difficulty of the accessibility of the lots. I went 3 full days with THEIR sewage flooded around my RV. Every time I asked them to pump and clean the mess I was given a new reason on why they couldn't clean it. when the 3rd day came and I was at my wits end they finally cleaned up the mess that apparently they had more important things to take care of than the sewage that was so deeply flooded around my home I couldn't walk to my door. I had to sleep on my friends couch with my 7 year old who was crying begging me to go home. I will never stay here again. Nor would I reccomend anyone to stay for an extended period of time. For every issue that was resolved, another popped up and they were equally just as terrible with the time they took to resolve it.

This was our first time rv camping and I think it went well. Staff people were nice. Spaces were tight and not level but it wasn't too bad. I couldn't put out my awning because of the trees or really sit outside. The spot was pull thru on gravel. The rv sewage cap will be under your rv and the water pump you just pull up to use, not an actual pump.People drive golf carts around but the hills are tough. Walking up the main hill from the main office to the campground takes some serious strength. If you like hiking big hills or mountain biking this place would be perfect.Fished a little and caught a lot of bluegills.I would say 90% of people live here full time or leave their rig full time. Most people were nice but the lady next to us was pretty rude. We ignored her and she left us alone.I wish there were garbage cans around the site other than the main dumpsters at the very front. I didn't see any of there were. They were doing a lot of work to the grounds to make it pretty.Very dog friendly place.Nice and quiet all day. I fell asleep around 9pm and wasn't disturbed until people left for work early (8am) when their trucks pull out. Overall good campground.

Pete was very friendly over the phone and in person. We drove across the entire US of A from CA headed to NY. We called ahead and told Pete we were coming in later in the evening (around 10:30 pm.) He was happy to leave us the after hours map directing us to the site. The site was perfect and we had a lot of space to ourselves. We met some of the residents and they were very cordial. Big shout out to Shirley and Fireball. Nice enough bathrooms, showers and the grounds are well kept. Guys were mowing, hedging and painting around the property. Bring a volleyball or basketball and have a good ol time.

This place is run down and out of control. Do not waste your money. A few years ago it was nice but the new owners can't seem to do the necessary upkeep on the grounds. The roads were washed out and the campers in there were ready to go to the scrap yard .

I love this place and look forward to coming back every season! It s exactly what I m looking for which is a simple spot out in the woods to put up a tent and relax by the fire.If you are uptight and needy and want to bother the staff constantly and expect a quiet night then go to a hotel! This place is a very fun atmosphere and the people like to party. It also STILL happens to be the cheapest tent sites around so as long as they re in business they ll have my business!
