I live in St. Louis. My 19 year old daughter had my car in New Carlisle and had some significant mechanical problems. Mike and his team took great care of her and went out of their way to communicate with me on the repairs. I HIGHLY recommend Garroutte's. If I lived in the New Carlisle area, they would be the only shop I ever used.

They are honest and won't mess you around when it comes to your vehicle, my family and I have used them for years. Perfect example, I thought my front rotors and brake pads needed to be changed. They checked the front which were fine and noticed it was actually the rear set that was causing the noise. I know for a fact other mechanics would have charged me for the front and then tell me about the rear. Mike, the owner, is honest and straight with his customers, he wouldn't do anything that would jeopardize his name.

I am very stingy with my reviews of auto repair businesses. You never really know for sure until the business is challenged with a difficult repair. I had a wobbling rear wheel which turned out to be a bearing which damaged the axle. The old rear end did not want to come apart. After ordering a specialty tool and lots of heat, they finally got it apart. Everything is back together with a new axle and bearings. The price was very fair. I am very happy with the outcome and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

Garoutte's was recommended to me when I needed freon in my air conditioning unit. It was done in a timely manner, the price was very reasonable and Mike is a very personable young man and I would highly recommend him to others! He is honest and a man of integrity who conducts his business fairly!

I happened to come across this Auto Shop one evening and I thought that I would take a look at the shop. I was greeted by a man named Mike who happened to be the owner of the joint. He asked me what can I do ya for? I replied I happened to come across you place and was wondering could you fix my car? Because lately before it got fixed I kept hearing some form of rattling at the back end of my car. He told me my muffler was causing this and would have no problem haven it fixed. I soon came back and runs smoothly now. I am very happy and the price was very affordable. I would recommend this auto shop if your looken for good deals and a friendly atmosphere.

Great, friendly, honest service with absolutely no hassle at all. The price was more than fair and honestly, I will happily pay more at a place to be treated good and not feel like I'm being jerked around!

We've been taking our vehicles to Garouttes for many years and Mike has always treated us tremendously. The main words I think of for how he runs this business are integrity and fairness. I don't know how the people of New Carlisle could function without the important services of auto repair from a business we can trust. Thanks, Mike, for your years of service. The mechanics there know what they're doing, they are honest if something raises a red flag while they work on my car. I've been going here for years, and I have no plan to stop anytime soon.

Very knowledgeable and courteous. Always discusses issues with you and never does unnecessary work. Upfront and HONEST! Comparable cost! Live in South Bend and always come here first!

The owner Mike is a great guy he's straight forward and lets you know what's going on before he does anything to your vehicle and he lets you know that something is going to need repaired or replaced in the near future and that it can wait.......
