My husband and I stayed at lost acres for about 3 months while he was working in the area. I can only say great things! The campground itself is beautiful, quiet and made me feel very safe! The people in and running the campground are wonderful as well! I even locked myself out of the camper and had a line of people willing to try their keys to help me! I couldn t be happier with our stay and I m actually sad we had to leave. If we are ever in the area again, without question we will be staying here!

I must begin by expressing my disbelief at the number of immature adults who seem to have a common agenda: targeting the manager's character in a rather tasteless manner. We've been at this campground for two months now, and I can confidently say it's one of the best campgrounds we've ever experienced. In this short span, they've undertaken numerous improvements, including new picnic tables and fire rings. They're constantly working to upgrade the lots, which is impressive.Despite facing two significant storms during our stay, the management responded swiftly. When a tree almost fell perilously close to us, a tree removal company was on-site within days. As for the claim of the manager being unfriendly, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, this individual has dedicated themselves to reshaping the campground's culture. Initially, we were hesitant to come here due to negative reviews, but I implore you not to be deterred by them. This is undoubtedly one of the finest campgrounds we've visited in a long time.Of course, there are a few areas where they can improve, but the legacy left by the previous owners can't be rectified overnight. I tip my hat to the manager and the entire staff for their hard work. I've gotten to know the grounds crew quite well, and they are a wonderful group of friendly individuals. Currently, I am staying on site 11.

What a nice campground! Reserving a spot was easy and the seasonal folks were super nice. We were invited to come play bags and hang out and the grounds were well kept. We arrived late due to unforseen issues and they had everything I needed to get to my spot and get settled at the gate for me.Excellent location just a few blocks from everything in the Monticello region.Coming from Northwest Indiana and needing to stay fairly close to home we thought this was a perfect destination and we look forward to coming back!

My kids absolutely loved the big bouncing mat, and there were jump houses set up on this particular weekend, which were an added bonus for the kids who also enjoyed the pool and playground. I thought it was very peaceful and would have been content to read a good book or just do absolutely nothing for that matter. But not at all realistic to expect with 2 rambunctious little boys around!!! Lol But, when I got a moment to relax, I found it easy to do so. There was a shower on site, which was decent ( nice water pressure, clean, great temperature), and they had on-site laundry as well. You can fish there in the pond (catch and release,) and I'm glad we thought to bring a bike because my kid rode everywhere! It was a great little getaway for a weekend, one without YouTube or video games!!!! It was pretty close to Indiana Beach as well. Overall it was a nice quiet getaway, and I'd recommend checking it out!

First time visiting this campground. Arrived after office closed, so they left key pass at the gate for us.Staff and annual campers were friendly and welcoming. Amenities include a camp store, which includes a game room. They also have board games to play with seating to do so. A clean laundromat, a pavilion, and pool that is open from 9 until dusk (I d check to see if it s open if you visit after Labor Day). They weekend we were there, they had a food truck, 1 huge inflatable water slide, 1 huge inflatable challenge coarse (both free and for kids and adults), face painting and cotton candy small fee. I was told they have many activities throughout the summer. Almost forgot that have free mini golf too.Highly recommend this campground.

If you haven't had an opportunity to stay at Lost Acres I urge you to try it. Honestly we had a couple of rough years when new ownership took over and ironed out the bumps. This year (2023) has been amazing. Our manager, Shara has done a tremendous job and her staff have performed exceptionally well. They are always happy to answer questions and provide assistance. There is so much to do here. There is the jumping pad, playground, swimming pool, pickle ball, cornhole tournaments all weekend, wagon rides, fishing, planned activities for children and adults and a game room. If you prefer staying at your campsite around your fire that is also an option. The campstore is very well stocked. You will find this is a very friendly campground and once you've stayed you'll look forward to coming back. We love Lost Acres!

This is our first full season here. We stayed last Fall for a month. The campground has nice sized sites. I love the wooded areas and the pond. We see so many different animals, my 5 year old loves it. It is more peaceful during the week, but obviously there are more people here on the weekends. We really enjoy the activities. The girls are doing so much this and have so many great ideas. They are wonderful with little ones. I have enjoyed the crafts they do and chatting with them. They also have started doing more fun adult activities as well ( the mothers day paint party was a blast ). There is a great playground area, pool, and fishing pond as well.

Lost acres is a beautiful and clean campground. There are large spaces available to accommodate our 40ft fifth wheel with plenty of room left over to sit outside by our campfire or grill. The park managers and our neighbors have been very nice and helpful. There are lots of activities planned for kids on weekends, a jumping pad, a park and a pool available. I d highly recommend staying here on weekends or for the entire season!

I was ready to cancel my reservation after reading some of these reviews, but I m so glad I didn t! We spent 3 nights here and it was really enjoyable. Everything was well maintained and clean; there were a lot of fun things for the kids to do; and all the staff and other campers were pleasant.

This is a trailer park, not a campground. We paid for two nights and completely forfeited all money and left about 10 minutes after arriving. Check in starts at 3:00 and the office closes down completely at 5:00, or 5 minutes before 5:00! We arrived at 4:55 and had to call somebody to come down and open the gate. We were assigned a space on a very slanted hill and couldn't level so asked for another one. The entire place just felt uncomfortable and was pretty empty except for the full time folks. It's very unkempt, mostly just weeds and rocks. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming staff.

We have been seasonal guests here for a few years but as of yesterday we have decided to pull out. They have raised the rates and have given us nothing in return. They send out a email that lists upgrades that never happened. Could have lived with that but then they fired the best managers this park has ever had. They have only been gone a few days and this park has turned into chaos. The sheriffs had to be called last night. People blaring music on golf carts and screaming until 2 and 3 in the morning. This didn t happen when the park had managers that cared about the park and the guests. The owners should really take note of this because this place is going downhill fast. I will be reaching out to the owners tomorrow.

Great campground with beautiful landscaping being completed all over the campgrounds. The new pool is so big and wonderful you can even sit on a ledge inside the pool by the deeper end. 2 dog runs that our little guy just loved. All employees are friendly and helpful. The store with all the amenities and supplies has been updated. The new management is really making the campground AAAAA+. Loved our one month stay 7/2/2022. Cindy and Jim Martin

Lost Acres use to be a great place to camp the new management are extremely rude and some of their rules are beyond ridiculous they have nothing to do there. All activities like bags and kids crafts are done by the campers. The campground provides nothing for the amount of money they charge to camp. If your looking to have fun find somewhere else because fun is not allowed here. The lost acres I once loved has gone The campers are great what are left but most of the campers have left to other campgrounds which still believe that camping should be fun!!!!!

Good looking site, but looks can be deceiving. I was there for 2.5 months. Took care of my own lawn as it was my choice. Made it look alot better. Management and some employees on the other hand are horrible. They shouldn't be in customer service or hospitality at all. Managers sit around and do nothing until it's time to kick someone out. In my case, the "security" guard and his wife didn't like me. He used an opportunity to lie about something I didn't do. When I confronted him and filmed the conversation about our difference of opinion I was kicked out. Zero evidence of any wrongdoing except for standing up for myself. Management gave me 3.5 hours to pack up my RV and vacate. Too bad by next year there won't be anybody left in the park to kick out and all the negative reviews about management and staff will cause this place to suffer. Seasonals are already making their plans to not return. With plenty of other campgrounds in the area, avoid lost acres at all costs. 0 stars if it was possible. The park is getting close to a concentration camp like atmosphere.Update: The response was likely not from the owner. If the owner had full knowledge of the situation, he would have fired the wannabe managers. Manager promised to refund money owed as per the law, but 10 days later, the manager still isn't a man of his word. Guess he has to be a man first.

Stayed at this park last night because my friends recommended it as a quiet campground. Well this place is anything but quiet! People riding around screaming on golf carts at all hours of the night. People partying until past 2 AM and no staff to be seen. Went up to the office at 1 AM to see if someone could help me. All I got was a voicemail that stated to leave a message and they will get back me. I never received a callback so I went to the office this morning to speak with the manager and was told there ISN T one. The lady in the office said I could reach out to Nick to voice my concerns but I realized his number was the same one I called last night. How can there not be a manager? We decided we didn t want to spend another sleepless night in this place so we decided to pack up and leave and we will never come back here. We will be sure to tell everyone we know not to camp at this rowdy out of control filthy poorly run place.

Took my children and grandchildren over Memorial weekend. We had a great time, grandchildren loved the bouncer, just wish it were open all day. We had a large group, and he placed us in a large lot with empty lots around us so we had plenty of room with no extra charge. I seen some of the comments about the water being brown? We did not experience that problem and actually it was pretty clear for well water. The owner was friendly, even visited our site a few times just to say hello and make sure we were enjoying our stay without any issues. I am definitely taking my family back soon for a few more weekends.

Over all campground is a nice area. Too many downfalls to want to return here though. Only one bath house with two showers per gender. Management is trying their best you can tell but issue after issue. There is no real quiet time here. The seasonal campers let their dogs bark at all hours. Game room was a bummer. The main toilets attached to the store were destroyed every night by other campers. Took all day to clean poop up from bathroom floors, to replace toilet paper. This place needs a major revamp and added showers. Seasonal campers may really enjoy it but for tenter's, miserable. The price to stay for a weekend as well, wow. Just plain out wow! Definitely no worth the cost. We had a big family trip set up and couldn't even be placed next to our family because of issues with booking due to the fact they went under new management again a few weeks and lost part of our reservations. Just lots of miscommunication and lack of employees. Don't think we will return, which is a bummer as my family has been coming here for 20 plus years. Really hope management gets it together to make this campground accommodatable for weekenders and not just their seasonal campers.

As a work camper, this place was the BEST experience! All of the staff are friendly and the grounds are well kept and clean. I worked the camp store and reservations and plan to be back in the Spring as long as the management in place comes back.

I was so disappointed when we arrived. I booked this campground well in advance even it was out of our way. Photos and description indicate the sites are wooded, and after months in the desert I was looking forward to a site with trees. And there are trees, but we were put way out back with no trees, and so far from the amenities like the pool that we would have to drive to them. The park managers seemed nice and we were taken to our spot, but as we couldn t use the amenities I can t comment on them.

I have been at Lost Acres since July 3rd. I am leaving tomorrow morning July 10th. I have to say, I have no complaints. Dog park is fantastic, lots of room for fur baby to run.The Resort has been quiet, even through the 4th holiday.I think I will come back same time next year.
